This location has the best florist. The arrangements always look so special with the unique palette and interesting mix of blooms. This spot has been my go to flower-shop since moving to East Village and I reckon I’ll keep coming back even if I leave the neighborhood. I hope they keep the guys working here because they truly are unparalleled artists!

A late night oasis in what is still a comatose island of Manhattan in 2023, this supermarket is a delight to shop at and one of the few downtown locations still open overnight. With the continued pullout and closures of most of the 24 hour stores around the city, it's good to know there is still a place where I can shop at any hour (what used to be the norm and was part of the fabric of New York City).

I also visit this supermarket during the day and it seems as if a new manager joined the team recently who is helpful, friendly, and brings a nice energy to the location. Granted, we're talking about a supermarket, but with the abundance of automation and negativity we're saturated with in what seems like every second of the day, it's nice to have brief positive human encounters even during what might seem as trivial as a trip to the supermarket. (No delivery apps for me thank you!)

While not perfect, the selection of items at this supermarket is substantial. It's worth noting that every once in a while they offer great prices on fruit. If you keep an eye on their inventory, you'll see that every couple of weeks they somehow source high quality fruit of certain types offered at a manager's discount. During the warmer months much more, but occasionally outside of the warm months as well.

All said, this is a nice location with helpful management and staff, which hearkens back to the days when we knew the people working at our neighborhood supermarket on a first name basis and could be sure they put in the effort to source the best food for the community at reasonable prices.

Tip: You can also buy fresh flowers just outside the supermarket any time of day or night!

I love this grocery store! I live midtown but shop here and take the M15-SBS home. Great sales on chicken, bacon, deli meats, etc.

I've only recently started shopping here and they have great weekly deals. This place was clean & organized. A good amount of self-checkout machines, with 2 registers.

Variety of products. Cheap & great quality. A great place to save your money. If something is out of stock, you can get a rain check for the sale price, which expires in 60 days. Everything is fresh here.

I buy my flowers here. The bouquets are awesome & are very reasonably priced!

Love doing all of my after midnight grocery shopping here at the Key Foods. Reminds me of the old New York. Great mix of artists , crazies and neighborhood tourists coming to gawk at the "local culture". Add to the mix, the lovely night manager who always has a smile on her face, except when she don't, and the tough bully boys that run the security detail and you've got a winning combination. Just don't steal and you'll have a place to go for an always-entertaining shopping experience for years to come. Take care of one of the last 24 hour businesses who are willing to bravely stay open, and it'll take care of you.

Key Food is a genuine urban marketplace. But don't just take my word for it. I invite you to go shopping there and you will come away with a similar opinion.

This Supermarket is nestled in ABC City in the East Village. Which I affectionately call, the Latin quarter and it remains one of the few remaining businesses that is primarily operated and wonderfully staffed by Latinos. It is great place to shop and I like trekking over there, because they carry a range of food products that cannot be found anywhere else.

Beautiful store with great prices & produce.

Very conveniently situated supermarket which has mostly everything we need. Opens early and closes late which we love in this amazing neighborhood! The flowers are a great touch and always brings smiles before walking into the store. Cheesecake variety is amazing! I even saw cheesecakes from Cheesecake factory! Thank you for your services!

Very busy, well stocked, clean and well staffed. Decades old, low key, impressively well-staffed, well-trained and well managed local supermarket. this is an ordinary, plain family residential neighborhood supermarket (common household foods and goods, a standard lower budget market, NOT your higher end, gourmet, or imported goods type of fancy). Best to use self service machines at peak times, but they still have full service cashier lines too. Produce aisle sometimes crowded, but beautifully organized and maintained and worth coming back to when less crowded.
In a neighborhood that has gotten extremely competitive in recent decades, it has remained relevant against various nearby higher end and more trendy.

My local grocery store right across my apartment. One thing i love about this place is its open 24 hrs a day. It has mostly all the food necessities i need for fresh goods like fruit, vegetables, eggs, milk, pork meat, beef meat, chicken etc. It also has preserve goods like ham, cheese etc. i has self checkout counters and assisted counters. There is paid street parking ring in front of the grocery and free street parking around the block.

Despite being a few blocks further than our local, this has quickly become our favorite grocery store. 24 hours, amazing selection, and clean space. They have about 9 self checkout registers, or two small checkout lanes. All of the house deli products are great. Swing by late, or real early and the space is all yours.

Love the greens in this place.
The okra , the spinach, the kale and collard green. And carrots, cauliflowers. Can't get enough.
Veggies, veggies , veggies! The meat section looks good to. Got pernil and roast beef there too few times.

Amazing supermarket. It has everything, specialty and all. Even the cooked takeout food and salad selection looked so inviting. So glad my daughter lives near. Yummy!

Kinda seedy. Great price on most things. Good selection of milk, not so much so for yogurt. I do rather go somewhere else if possible but you know how things go. Pretty convenient. Good selection of beer. Deli is under rated. Has a cult following.
