This is a lovely store with excellent service.
All of the employees are kind and helpful.
To name a few....Linda, Selena, Sally, David, Oscar, Alex and Evita.
Five stars for sure!

And as far as the pharmacy...Paul and Jim are extremely caring. When I was in so much pain and going through major medical problems, they went above and beyond. When I could not walk and was waiting for an ambulance...Jim stayed on the phone with me.
I have been going to this store for years...because they treat you kind and are like family.
I call the 1800 number on my receipts to brag about the place but my praises never seem to get to the employees.

Never had a problem here. I will say that I’ve run into people who don’t know how to use the call button at the Pharmacy drive-thru.

This is favorite Walgreens. They open early and have an awesome staff.

Didn't Have Gillette Atra Plus on the Shelf. Didn't Have Diet Pepsi, Which it was on Sale. Got to the Counter with my Photos, and the credit card machine Didn't want to Except my Payment. Had to use Cash💵. Disappointed on My Local Walgreens. 😵‍💫😕

I gave two stars, because I'm sure there actually might be some respectful and/or competent employees that work here. I don't want them to take the heat for their coworkers that I have dealt with at the pharmacy.
A week ago I spoke with the actual pharmacist himself, I needed a cough syrup. He explained that the one I needed was the same as Delsum, an OTC syrup. I told him, that I was way over my budget with OTC medications at about 250$. I needed my insurance to cover this, therefore I needed the prescription ordered. He said understood and he was ordering it from their warehouse and my prescription would be ready the following afternoon. Tomorrow comes and I get a call from Walgreens pharmacy, my prescription is ready for pickup. She tries to sell me Delsum, the OTC cough syrup. I re-explain myself to the pharmacy tech. She orders it from the warehouse, because all cough syrups are on back order. While waiting for my the medication to be shipped, I had a family emergency in a different part of the state. I haven't been able to pick up my medication. I just spoke to another pharmacy tech on the phone. I apologized and told her that I had to travel and have been gone, I will be picking up the medication tomorrow. This Gen-Z pharmacy tech actually snickered at me and got an attitude and said "It's only been 7 days!".

My suggestion to anyone reading this:
If you are this young girl I spoke with, attitudes are not cute.
If you are the pharmacist I spoke with:
You dropped the ball, sir.

Go to Jewel osco pharmacy in dyer on US 30, they're extremely polite and professional and their warehouse ships much faster.

Overall the store is usually always clean so I’ll give them that however the associate Oscar needs to fix his customer service. He had such a terrible attitude and no customer service at all. The attitudes the associates have make a big difference.

I went to your to get my flu shot I was there an hour and they were never able to get their systems to work to talk to my insurance company so I had to leave without a shot. I went across the street to the CVS that's at the Target and they got me a flu shot in 10 minutes

This review is strictly for pharmacy .. very difficult to ever pick up scripts many days pharmacist is not available and the time it takes to pick up is just pretty crazy not to mention I have been told on numerous occasions they are limited on antibiotics so I am given a very small amount that won’t last enough till they can fill the rest of the prescription. Honestly my least favorite pharmacy.

Terrible terrible customer service. Had a PCR test scheduled on Sunday at 3pm.
Received all emails confirming my SUNDAY appointment at 3pm. Go to the drive thru show this email and ID. So I go, 4 cars a head of me, no problem, I wait. It was about 2:48 when I pulled up.
When I finally got the window the woman told me WE’RE CLOSED. I told her I have a pcr test at 3. She told me I was at the wrong place because they close at 3 or there’sa mistake because they are CLOSED. Absolutely terrible

Pharmacist was rude to my wife. Doctor called in urgent script to pharmacy and they said they could not find it. They made us call doctor’s office ourselves rather than them calling the doctor. I called the doctor’s office staff (I absolutely believe them) and stated they talked directly to the pharmacist when we left for a medication that was going to help me breathe. Now still waiting.... Shame on you Walgreens at Main and 41 in Schererville.

At other Walgreens locations I never had any problems, when I moved I transferred my prescriptions to this location and the pharmacy is completely incompetent and some of the pharmacy techs are outright rude and condescending. At no other pharmacy (including other Walgreens locations) have I ever had a problem having both my primary insurance and my secondary insurance on file (my secondary insurance typically would cover my copay so I wasn't paying anything for my prescriptions) however at this location after spending several hours there over the course of several visits and having both my providers call the pharmacy to try to find what the issue was they told me they simply do not accept secondary insurances.
The head pharmacist there (his name was James) was almost completely incompetent causing me to spend over an hour and a half there on at least 3 occasions while he struggled with the computer system attempting to enter my insurance information which wouldn't be stored properly because I'd have to go through it again the next month.
There is a CVS and Meijer pharmacy very close and other Walgreens locations if you're willing to travel a few miles down Indianapolis Blvd. in either direction do yourself a favor and avoid this location.

They are not very attentive in their drive-thru. I pulled up and waited and no one came to help me. It looked like they were closed because I didn’t even see anyone. After awhile I parked and went in and there were no customers in the store. The pharmacist and tech were filling prescription, but not helping anyone. They were not nice, felt like I was a bother to them. I would have left but needed my medicine.

I was looking for a gift card from H&M and the Walgreens website said there was 10+ in stock at the Schererville location. After 20 minutes of looking through all of the gift cards with the manager, I was told they did not have any. Furthermore, they informed me that they have never seen this gift card in their store. Terribly disappointed! I drove out of my way to go to this store. Don't trust their website for inventory.

Pharmacy for the past few months will not have medications ready even after calling to tell us they are ready for pick up. They do not respect their customers' time.

It's hard to pickup your scripts when there are frequent days without a Pharmacist on duty.
