It was our first of time stopping here and we were glad we did. We had a little bit of everything on their menu from appetizers, lunch, dinner, and desserts; it was all delicious!! You’ll get awesome food and excellent service! Give it a try!!

DORA approved for a drinks; and the Rum Punch is top-notch. The only thing is which flavor you're picking.
Empanadas are delicious and will keep you coming back.
The Tacos are good and my favorite item, but nothing too fancy about them, which I like and feel comfortable ordering!
We also ordered a special of the day tacos, which were fish; OMG - it was so good.
Partner is very adventurous regarding food and ordered the ceviche and loved it. I tried it, and I have to say it was different in a good way.

If you are looking for a unique dining experience in Urbana, Abuela's is where its at! Authentic Venezuelan food is amazing! On my most recent visit I had the smoked pork chop which is huge! Seasoned and cooked to perfection, it came with a generous side of rice and fried plantains. My husband had the Latin Feast. I also enjoyed a margarita and he had a draft beer. The owners and staff are so friendly and fun, we happened to be there the night of the Kentucky Derby and we all enjoyed watching the race on their large TV behind the bar.

My first taste of Venezuela in Ohio. Authentic and the family is so friendly. I definitely recommend eating here.

Venezuelan restaurant in Urbana Ohio. Arepas and the Yuca With Mojo were pretty good. The arepas are like these “cornbread pockets” stuffed with meat and cheese. The Yuca is like a more moist, less starchy potato. The Mojo sauce reminded me of a pesto a little bit.

Breakfast burrito has really nice char lines on it.

This is a true hidden gem. Absolutely amazing across the board. The interior was designed with love; it's clean and cozy, and the server could not have been more of a sweetheart. But most importantly — the food. The black beef, essentially their take on a pot roast, is unreal. It's one of the best South American dishes I’ve ever had, for real. Don’t sleep on this spot. We came about an hour away from Dayton, and it was more than worth it.

What a delightful surprise! Lovely,simple decor that captures the sensations of beautiful Venezuela. The menu isn't overwhelming but satisfyingly just right with enough choices to keep one coming back.Service is above and beyond excellent.For an aperitif may I suggest the Venezuelan rum punch,guava is ourstanding.The food was exceptional, plated to perfection and a constant delight for the palate. Highly recommended, you can thank me later with an invite to dinner at Abuela's Kitchen.

Place is Great, A Definite Must-Eat if you're in Urbana.
P.S. Pick up an Amazing bottle of Ajicecero Caraqueno to accentuate your already delicious meal (that'how much I've used in one serving... Cuz it's that delicious)!

Had a great lunch with the family. We had yuca fries, tostones, delicious black beans, pork, beef and authentic Venezuelan food. The rice pudding and margaritas were great!

First time to Urbana and decided to stop into Abuela’s. Ive never had Venezuelan food, and was delighted with what I had! Pork empanada, yuca fries, and the yellow rice with chicken. Wonderful flavor, good portion sizes. Excellent service!

We took my Grandma who is in an electric wheelchair. We were going to sit outside since they have a step going into the restaurant. I told them we were outside and why and was informed they have a ramp. So instead of sitting in the wind outside we were able to sit inside. They were so accommodating and friendly and the food was delicious!

I stopped in here for lunch today, taco Tuesday!!! So glad I did. I went with 2 beef tacos and a pork taco plus rice pudding for dessert! The meat was very flavorful and juicy! Rice pudding was great too!Prices are reasonable. I liked the way the restaurant looks inside too. Will be back ! 😋👍🌮

We dropped our son off at wrestling camp and wanted to get dinner. Abuela's Kitchen exceeded expectations! I don't typically like plantains, however, the sweet plantains with the white cheese were delicious! We also had the taquenos that I could have eaten all night with that sauce. My husband had the black beef arepa and I had the fish arepa! Both were amazing with great flavor. I enjoyed a passion fruit and then a mango Rum Punch! The owners were so sweet and attentive! We might just drive here from Hilliard just to eat here again.

Abuelas is one of the best locally owned restaurants in Urbana. All the staff and the owners are friendly and all around good people. If you're looking for something new or somewhere to call your new go to spot, this is it. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Just don't go on Mondays, their closed

Attentive waitress, made recommendations, explained the menu and answered all of our questions. Menu for food and bar was simple but offers a wide variety. Food was fresh, hot, and tasted fantastic.
Will make the drive to eat here again.
