Airport Cafe

Fun dining experience. There plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. You can watch planes taxiing, taking off, and landing. Comfort food with a view. The staff was friendly and checked in often. Very cool location and facility.

Clean establishment..staff was wonderful especially our server. Food was fantastic! Pies were delicious!!! So glad we stopped there! Before retirement, I worked for Forest Glen and we would take a bus load upon their request to Airport Cafe. It us a wonderful cafe...great food...great staff...clean.

Flew in last week and had lunch with my daughter. It has been a few years since we had been to the Airport Cafe, but it was the same as always and still wonderful. Every time I have visited, I have left happy. The atmosphere and service are always wonderful, and you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. My favorite is always the cherry crumb pie! I even purchased a frozen on to take home. If you’re in the area, stop in. You won’t be disappointed! This place is popular with the locals and pilots, so it can get pretty busy, especially on the weekends.

Had the opportunity to stop in for lunch. I ordered the roast beef hot shot. It comes with bread, mashed potatoes and covered in gravy plus two sides. I choose the beets and coleslaw. All this for $8.99 is that value or what. The beef is tender and seasoned well. Potatoes tasted home made. Excellent gravy. The beets and coleslaw were top notch. My spouse got the grilled bologna sandwich with grilled onions, also very good. We also got black raspberry pie to take home. Delicious with the right balance of tart and sweet. The pie goes fast. Service was good as usual. Check them out the next time you are in town.

Nice cosy place that is actually beside the airport....or should I say airfield. Small cessna planes land and takeoff. I saw a family of 5 land in their plane and then walked over for lunch...so cool, like stepping out of the family car.
Food is nice with good portions. Price is reasonable. Place is quaint and cosy but not too big.
It is a good place to stop for lunch on the way to Ohio Caverns.

Great place and has always been awesome to visit for as long as I can remember! The breakfast was great and the service was fantastic! We sat outside and ate brunch while watching the planes take off. A really cool experience while eating brunch! A must visit if you are near by!

The place was packed & very “noisy” however the food & service are always awesome. Meghan was on it! Eggs over easy, home fries, bacon & sour dough toast, mmm. Wife had grilled chicken salad that was HUGE.
Highly recommended & a very popular diner for Urbana.

I love going here and sitting on the patio to watch the planes while we eat. Gorgeous morning to be there today.

Always an institution in Urbana, my grandparents brought me here as a kid. This time, we enjoyed bringing the pup and having breakfast on the patio.

Had a taco salad which was huge, and finished off with a piece of coconut cream pie which was outstanding....

Quick friendly service. Good menu choices and a nice diner atmosphere. Plenty of airplane parking spots very close to the restaurant entrance. Nice airport. No fees.

My friend and I stopped for lunch. I had a grilled cheese and Fry's, she had the soup and half ham sandwich. All was very good and we enjoyed it all. We will be back.

Great food in a small airport with charm great place off the beaten path. A place weare locals eat as well as a new comers. A very friendly place great specials a great seclusion and very good service . Easy to get to a small charming place.

My dad retired after (5) trips from Ohio to the West cost. I wish I could have met what would have been my mentor. An older brother Mark who died at birth. Supposedly buried in a cemetery close to Write Pat. I believe nothing would have changed.

This place was awesome it has that old dinner feel to it and the food was good, I had the PB&j burger and it was different but very delicious. Nice folks work there and nice town to just go visit

Food was really good. Service was a bit slow but the line was out the door so it's no fault of theirs. Would recommend!

First time here. I've heard about it for years and it's definitely worth a trip. Great people, great food, great service along with the small airport vibe of friendship and camaraderie!
