Just brought my girls here for the first time, to start off the Young lady working was absolutely so sweeet! This was by far the best pizza we have ever had! Super authentic. 10/10 we will be regular customers now!!!! A hidden gem!

For fancy gourmet meals this isn't the place to go. For cooking the taste almost homemade, for wonderful satisfying food that is always sumptuous and well-prepared You can't do better. Everyone is kind and helpful in the food is top notch. You'll feel comfortable here - these are good people serving good food. I can't recommend this restaurant enough.

I seldom dine at this restaurant but I’ve had very good experiences here. My grandfather used to have an office at the world building next door and would frequent this place often. The owner, John, is wonderful and takes great care of his customers. He offers complimentary white pizza and dessert with your meal. Prices are extremely reasonable, even downright cheap. Food is very good. Atmosphere is pretty bare bones and not much has been updated over the 30+ years he’s been in business. If you’re looking for some good Italian food in silver spring, give this hidden gem a try!

You feel like you are part of the family here. The food is fresh and the staff is amazing.
The gnocchi is the best, and don't skip on appetizers, the fried mozzarella is like none other. This was our 3rd visit with parties of 7+ and no one has ever ordered something they didn't absolutely love.

First impressions location is not bad located close to a heavy traffic street. As soon we enter we get greeted and due to a big group just sitdown before us host Hala told us is going to take sometime to get our orders, we didn't have any hurry so decide to get a table. The bread and oil herbs was good (very tasty oil and the bread smoking hot) love it. Then we get our main course cheese ravioli ( supper tasty and yummy) in the pink sauce OMG amazing sauce, plus shrimp marinara with linguine (marinara sauce was definitely homemade) and some cheese garlic bread ( love the amount of garlic) and end with desserts. One of the lovely italian dinner I have craving for some time. Customer service was absolutely amazing, food was amazing and the dessert to die for. I will definitely return and share the place for future dinners.

The food was great and the service was exceptional, a diamond in the rough. The eggplant parmigiana was great and chicken franchise better along with the linguine was a good side, then he brought us some Italian ice cream (oh my god) what a finish. My wife couldn’t hang so I had to finish the chianti, damn. Updated 12-5-22 Went back again for OssoBuco, everything was fantastic. Recommended

Excellent Italian food, it’s been around for over 30 years and is delicious. The veal Marsala, and any red sauce dish was pretty tasty and savory. Their red sauce tastes very natural and goes well with their garlic bread and pasta. Super affordable Italian food as well perfect for a family outing or date night.

Food was so good. Friendly staff. Vicinos is a longtime favorite. We sat outside. I particularly recommend the antipasto salad and the seafood linguine with red sauce.

An old favorite from when we lived in the area for many years. Wonderful that not only has it stayed true to why we always came (excellent food, great and friendly service, plus a welcoming atmosphere that feels like home), it has improved where it needs to and stayed consistent with what we always loved. White pizza with fontina cheese, red wine, and pasta with garlic & oil; can't go wrong, plus there's always more to discover. Highly recommended.

Long term customers. Tonight was wonderful - clams in white wine garlic sauce and eggplant parmigiana. Truly delicious. Fresh cheese pizza bites on the house and vanilla/chocolate bombe also on the house. Prices can't be beat. Old time family atmosphere. Come as you are and have a great time.

Delicious pasta sauce less pies. Can’t go wrong w just their white cheese and pepperoni. May want to toast the pies a lil more to get a better crust if you’re doing take out

The AC was out due to last night's storm, but we decided to dine in anyway.

The service was excellent. We received great recommendations and all ended up happy with our choices. They spoiled us for braving the heat. It was nice. =)

The lemon chicken Fresca was perfectly breaded and fried. The pasta carbonara was excellently done with the creamy consistency achieved.

We do recommend Vicino and will come again. Cheers.

it was my first time and the kids absolutely love the pizza in the wings. The customer service was superb. I definitely look forward to going back.

Staff was great our waiter, maybe the owner? Was really friendly and attentive. Brought us a few things on the house and the portion sizes are extremely generous for what you pay for. Reminded me of family owned Italian restaurants in New Haven, simple good food without spending all your money. The house red was easy drinking and slightly complex, really pleasantly surprised , and they were very generous with their pours as well. Really affordable and worth the money.

The pizza is very good, the spaghetti and meatballs too. The house red isn't bad. Very reasonably priced and friendly service. A great find in the neighborhood!

I came for a late lunch and am not from the area and I tell you what, Vicino did not disappoint. I ordered the seafood combination linguine and it was cooked to perfection. Definitely enjoyed the food and service was excellent and felt like they cared about my experience here.

I enjoyed a wonderful dinner outside for Labor Day with a friend and thoroughly recommend Vicino Restaurante.
At first I wasn't sure... but then...

This is the kind of place where you really fill up on good Italian food and bring home some leftovers... and you order a nice bottle of wine and have coffee or cappuccino and tartufo or spumoni or tiramisu for dessert and you don't then end up walking out the door with empty pockets because you spent so much money to get satiated...
You get more than what you pay for here... or at least it sure feels like it with their generous portions...
They could probably pipe in some Italian music outside to up the ambiance out there to quell some of the road noise...
It is in the middle of downtown Silver Spring after all.
Of course... We could have eaten inside... but the outside was nice as the weather was nice...
The place was not too classy or flashy but we did have white tablecloths and red cloth napkins and the service was casual and very good.
I will return again for filling and delicious Italian food.

A simple restaurant with incredible customer service and flavorful menu choices.

The food was prepared to order, arrived hot, and was so tasty. Ingredients were fresh and portions large. The service was great, we were greeted, provided a complimentary appetizer and received attention without the servers hovering.

This is a nice spot to grab a quiet lunch or have a celebratory dinner with friends. I'll be back!

This is a wonderful restaurant. The staff definitely deliver on that authentic Italian recipe, attention to detail and charm. Every dish I have tried at Vicino's has been a epicurious journey for my tongue. Thank you guys for not veering from tradition

Really quaint spot that I might visit again. For a Friday night, it certainly wasn't too busy. To our pleasant surprise, the food was cooked and prepared deliciously!
