Galata Sweets is a delightful Turkish restaurant offering an array of mouthwatering food. From rich baklava to delicate Turkish delight, each bite bursts with authentic flavors. The ambiance is warm, and the service is exceptional. A must-visit for those craving exquisite Turkish foods and sweets in a charming setting. Highly recommended. One side note, they need to get better with serving the bread, its freshly baked and so it takes time.

When I stepped into Galata I was honestly shocked. The store was so beautiful I almost thought I had stepped onto a TV show set. One of the walls has a gorgeous wooden art piece depicting various Turkish buildings. For lighting there are chandeliers with stained glass light bulbs. Not to mention the Turkish style couches around the place. I could imagine bringing a group of friends here to chat over tea any day.

Speaking of the tea. It is delicious. They bring over a Turkish chai teapot with sugar cubes. You’re able to make your own chai to your taste, so no worries about a group with different tastes sitting together. Small but the teacups have the evil eye on them, while I don’t believe in it I find it cute for it to be on there.

The food was a bit pricey but was definitely worth every cent. We got Menemen, Mezze Tray and Cheese Pide. None of this was spicy, which is nice considering we were at brunch. I loved making my own tiny sandwiches with the jam and cheese on the Mezze Tray. The light yellow jam (I’m not well versed in specific fruits) and string cheese combo rules.

Throughout the entire experience the people there were very nice. Especially Noor, near the end of our meal I was thinking of getting a dessert and before we decided one way or another on that, Noor graciously brought us over some baklava. She was so kind and attentive to not only notice us discussing but to do something about it. We talked to her a bit and she’s very lovely, I wish her the best.

two weeks ago was my first time. The atmosphere was amazing and clean, and the food was good, especially the Lahmacun it reminds me of the ones in my country. As for the staff, they are friendly and the service is good.

But Today I want to add to my review about my second visit. It was better than the previous. We tried with my family new dishes and also were so delicious. As for the place it was so clean and nice. The staff were brilliant especially emre very helpful and kind with the clients.

What an absolutely fantastic place this is! Authentic turkish food is so delicious, service is outstanding and atmosphere is above and beyond with a fantastically decorated interior and live music experience. Their coffees and teas are all great. Latte is my favorite, so as the turkish coffee in cezve. They always make sure to serve it with a piece of turkish delight on a side. As to the main dish - everything is delicious, but especially the lamaçun pizza with meat and vegetables. Loved everything about this place and will be coming back soon

Very good food and friendly staff. Live music is always a bonus. Coffee is very delicious and the presentation is always fantastic. Lahmajun is very good. A lot of parking near by. Must try the sweets as they are goood!

LOVVVVVVVVVVVVED it here! Anyone who knows me knows what a foodie I am, and this place did Not disappoint!! While the space is a little small, the FOOD and more importantly the Service more than made up for it!! We came for suhoor time during Ramadan and they had a great variety of savory and sweet to choose from…. But the absolute favorite of ours was their KURDISH coffee with pistachio — SO Good- I bought some to make at home! Their Turkish tea also so good and served in their special tea pots. Food was so good- I love manti and theirs was well made, their borek sooooooooo good and fresh. They recommended a pistachio pastry and I could see why it was So good, fluffy and not super sweet. Best of all, they were very hospitable and helpful with the menu and service and ordering and even knowing what to recommend! I love when a place knows what they’re good at and can recommend their specialties. I’m DEFINITELY coming back and making this a favorite whenever I’m in Dearborn. Such an excellent addition to this town. If you’re looking for a great experience all-around, this is Def your place!

I recently visited Galata Sweet on Saturday night with a friend and had a mixed experience. While the food earns a three-star rating from me, the environment and service easily deserve five stars. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere with live DJ music was fantastic.

My friend enjoyed her tea, but unfortunately, they didn't have decaf coffee available, which was a bit disappointing. Upon the cashier's suggestion, I tried the pistachio Salep drink, but it didn't quite meet my expectations. The baklava, another popular item, was below average in my opinion.

Despite the mixed feelings about the food, I must mention that the place itself is beautiful. The ambiance is inviting, so I am considering giving Galata Sweet another chance. Next time, I plan to explore different desserts and perhaps try their breakfast options. Hopefully, the next visit will leave a more positive impression!

What can I say, the atmosphere, the food, the attention to detail is just amazing! Best simit I’ve had outside of Turkey, and the baklava is great too. We had brunch there and it was sooo delicious! Great to have a place that looks beautiful and tastes like home.

Galata is one of my favorite hang out places. The atmosphere is phenomenal and they often have awesome live music especially weekends. They are open late and have amazing drinks and food — from Turkish tea to doner to kunefe you can’t go wrong with anything here. It can get really busy on weekend nights but it’s well worth it here. The staff is also super friendly.

Wow! What a stunning place. We originally set to go to the Amazing Sub place next door but I am SO happy they were closed.
My son got the Chicken Döner & they gave us tea and samples while we waited 💕🥹💕 I love great service and kindness! This is such a beautiful establishment! Go visit them today & I know you’ll return just as I intend to.

Istanbul is one of my favorite cities to visit so I was super excited when I saw this place nearby and it did not disappoint. Tried the pide, menemen, simit, baklava, and tea and all were delicious and exactly as I remember from Istanbul. Staff were also very friendly and ambiance very nice. Highly recommend.

My husband is originally from Detroit and we were back in town for his maternal Grandmother's funeral. Luckily, this lovely Turkish restaurant was open late. The desserts, coffee and savory dishes were amazing. While we sat down, I was able to have a quiet, public cry, reminisce about Grandma and about my days living in downtown Detroit from 2010-2018.

It was nice to sense the down-to-earth energy of my former "home" in their space. Dearborn holds a lot of special memories for us as a unique hub for generations of immigrants. This restaurant feels integrated into the landscape that makes Michigan, Michigan.

Thank you for the hospitality and the warmth. I also loved that y'all had a photo of your Grandfather's home in Turkey on the wall.

Absolutely delicious food as well as drink. Everything we tried tasted fresh, full of flavor and perfectly made. The service is exceptional and the atmosphere is great. They have games that can be taken to the table and played. If you’re looking for exceptional food, pastries or drinks I highly recommend this place!

Enjoyed a beautiful spread of food with my husband and children. Nor helped me order the perfect spread. Samit with the Turkish meze was fun for all. Complementary Turkish delights and baklava were delivered to our table. Definitely will be coming back again.

We had a delightful breakfast experience at this establishment. Emre the waiter provided exceptional service, ensuring our satisfaction throughout our visit.
