Jordan Anderson, the new 6th Av Branch Mgr, is both knowledgeable and competent with an old customer who did not know he was loosing money in a large savings account that could be earning 2.5% interest in a Money Market account. She steered me straight to that new account, which had been overlooked for years by other managers who were not so observant and helpful. Big kudos for Ms. Jordan!

I usually call in for help considering there is no branch here in Kirkland. Staff is always helpful and understand. I don’t know why this branch is a 2.4 star but deserves to be 5 stars. Shout out to Vanessa for helping me over the phone.

Tapco is a great community bank. I love that when I come in I am known, and if I have a problem with something, they take the time to help me figure out my fiscal needs. It is a small bank, and expecting the same level of technology as as large corporation is silly. Nobody should only bank with one institution, and this is the prefect local bank for me.

Five star customer service from the phone to the front door. Great people with the knowledge to boot. I refinanced my car loan with them and the transition couldn't have been smoother.

I have had nothing but great experiences with everyone at Tapco. Sure there are limited branches, but it is a Tacoma Credit Union. If you don't live in Tacoma it may be best to use a different regional Credit Union, but I cannot think of one negative experience or thing to say about Tapco.

I dont know where all these bad reviews are coming from, i have had nothing but wonderful help form these people. I highly advise banking here, i was using becu, way more satisfied here at tapco

Changed my one-star to a three-star to reflect the good experiences I have encountered as well. When it's well, it's very well (most cases in customer service) and when it's poor, it's very poor (financial protocols and disconnects). I have a business and sometimes have to use funds from one of my personal accounts, just so happens that one of my personal accounts is with TAPCO. Most recently tried to get a wire into my account and it was delayed as they use a third-party FCU for wire transfers. When I asked Vanessa why this information isn't available on Tapco's website, she informs me the wiring instructions are not available on the website to mitigate fraud - INCOMING WIRE INSTRUCTIONS ARE NOT AVAILABLE ON TAPCO WEBSITE TO MINIMIZE FRAUDULENT WIRING TRANSACTIONS?! If that is truly the case, shouldn't there at least be a disclaimer to contact your local TAPCO branch for wiring instructions. In addition, due to a third party middle person handling wiring for TAPCO as they obviously don't have the infrastructure or capacity to handle a myriad of services - in this case direct wiring of funds into a member account, there is a $25.00 outgoing wiring fee as well as a $20.00 incoming wiring fee. Might finally be time to find a new credit union a bit more customer and member-centric. Additionally, customer care over at Catalyst was great, Michael was extremely helpful as he could be, unfortunately noone at Catalyst can verify with a Tapco member as they must speak to a Tapco admin in order to do anything - interesting obstacle when trying to access info regarding transfers into a member's own account.

Jacob, you're absolutely correct and I missed it, if you scroll all the way to the bottom of your page it does state to (call for wiring instructions). I want to ensure my review reflects as accurately as possible.
