Pier 101 Restaurant & Bar

Hey...so, we were in town for Easter and decided to kill some time at Pier 101 in Folly while waiting for my daughter to get off work. The weather was awesome, around 73 degrees, and the sky was crystal clear ☀😎

You know what goes perfectly with great weather? A cold Modelo! 🍺 We started our meal with some fried calamari, which was delicious. Then, I had the flounder with fries, coleslaw, and homemade hush puppies with corn kernels inside. Everything was cooked perfectly and piping hot. The portions were generous, and the customer service was top-notch 👍

We sat outside on the pier, and it was just beautiful. Not a single cloud in the sky! ☀🌊

We found a parking lot across the street from the pier for $15, which wasn't too bad considering how busy it was. 🅿💰

We'll definitely be coming back here every time we visit Folly Beach. Love that place! 😍🏖

Food was amazing. Service was kinda slow but there was alot of people so understandable. Atmosphere is amazing. The wind coming off the ocean was nice and relaxing. Good music and good people to meet.

Incredible experience at this place. The view was beautiful and the service was excellent. My waiter Charlie was polite and funny. He suggested I get his favorite dish, the shrimp and grits. It was delicious. My girl and I got a few drinks after at the bar with bartenders named Olivia and Hannah. They were so sweet and gave us recommendations for our weekend getaway in Charleston.

Can’t beat the beach setting! Our waiter, Charlie, was very helpful deciding what to order. I wanted fried and my wife wanted fresh fish. Both were great. The fresh fish has lots of veggies and light but very tasty. She was surprised how good it was for a pier restaurant and we have had many 5 star dinners. We go back often since we live in the low country for both food and water views. BTW, new items on menu made food even better preparation than last year. Also, the inside was remodeled and looks cool and fresh. They also didn’t rush us which is nice!

It’s the staff and the view that makes this place so special. What could be better than hanging out on a beautiful pier over the ocean with the kindest, most attentive group of people?! I recommend the Fish or Shrimp Tacos and pair it with a spiked coconut water by SUNBOY. Definitely sit at the outside bar so you can chop it up with the bartenders and everyone hanging around. Great vibe and incredible view of Folly Beach.

After our horrible experience at Planet Follyywood we felt defeated. Starving. Grumpy. We remembered we have gotten drinks here before and they were wonderful so decided to try the food. Our entire demeanor turned around. Service was amazing. They even came over and gave us a free spicy peach Mexican mule. It’s like they new we had a bad experience somewhere else. By the way if you like a mule get it! 10/10. Kids got virgin daiquiris they loved them!

My wife and I really enjoyed our dining experience here! Our server's name was Charlie, and he was the nicest guy! Charlie was a tremendous help with the menu options and really made us feel welcomed. We will DEFINITELY be back!

First time here at Pier 101! The food was reasonably priced and delicious, and the service was excellent. Thank you so much Cheyenne for the recommendations; the flounder sandwich was amazing and fresh! We really appreciate your attentiveness, even with it being a busy Saturday. We can't wait to come back to Folly Beach. :))

There are available servers all around and ours was great.

The view of the beach and ocean from the Pier dining area is peaceful.

Pier 101 is one of my favorite restaurants on Folly!! First, the service is always friendly, fast & efficient, the views are beautiful & the food and drinks are delish. Shout out to the staff for creating a great atmosphere, especially Charlie who is an amazing server and always makes the experience special for his customers

Stopped in Peir 101 on our visit to folly beach. We were greeted immediately by staff and bartender Jim who blended us each a tasty beverage. The establishment was spotless fresh and clean welcoming environment great views from deck and pier great souvenirs at gift shop.

The food was great, the drinks were amazing, and the staff was so nice! It was great to eat by the ocean. The hush puppies were amazing, and the salad was so good as well! The only thing that bothered me was the birds, but unfortunately there’s not much they can do about that. Otherwise, a great place for a yummy, quick lunch!

Great atmosphere! I ordered the shrimp basket and shrimp tacos. Food came out in a timely manner even though it was busy. Our waitress was professional and friendly. Highly recommend going here if you’re ever in the Folly Beach area.

Our favorite spot to eat in Folly Beach! We went for Sunday brunch on the most breathtaking day. 75 degrees, not a cloud in the sky, and a calm breeze: just enough to refresh. There was a 15 minute wait, but it was nice to stand on the boardwalk and take in the views anyway. They text you when your table is ready which is nice to not stalk around the host stand or touch the icky pagers. Even with the pier under construction, the views were still stunning and mostly unobstructed from the outdoor terrace, and the food and service were great as always. They were busy and almost every outdoor table was seated. It was relaxing and wonderful to take in the day while waiting for our food. Service time was short considering the crowd, and the server was friendly and attentive. We are the burger and fish sandwich. Delicious. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, though. Live music started at 2, and it was just the most perfect day. Lucky we live SC 🤙🏼☀🏝

We loved the views! Plus our food was pretty great too! The chicken wings were seasoned amazing. The calamari was also amazing as it was so tender. One odd thing was the beer I ordered came in a can vs being poured in a glass

So absolutely a great great place. I loved the food the service and drinks. Honestly one of the best spots on the beach in my opinion. Would recommend to anyone Haley and jj are great managers. I had a slight mishap with a chair and the chair won but they made sure my experience was amazing. They comped my food the first day but we came back the next day just because how great this place is. 10/10 will always come again lol.

Very good food and great service. First time visiting while at Folly beach and was able to be seated outside. Not a huge menu, but enough to choose from that will satisfy everyone. They also have an area that you can purchase mixed drinks. I recommend the fried shrimp plate and the flounder plate that includes fries and slaw with hushpuppies. Good live music as well. Very nice pier and gift shop beside the restaurant. A must try and can't wait to visit again.

My wife and I have frequented the pier since Locklear's closed and Pier 101 opened up - it's our weekend spot. Like any tourist locale in Charleston it can be tricky getting quick, attentive service once summer hits. Our server, Marissa, hustled to make sure we were taken cared of and I appreciated that. Tourism is a huge part of CHS and it's easy for any place to get weeded out, but Marissa checked on us regularly. Food came out as expected, tasted great and drinks were refilled. As someone who has a previous background in the food industry I always recognize someone who can get their hustle on and attend to the regulars, as well as cater to the visitors - great job, Marissa!

Stopped here for lunch today and the food was delicious!! It is a nice restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating available right on the beach.Just beware if you sit outside there are tiny bugs that fly around and they bite. One even landed in my water so maybe bring a small can of bug spray with you!

One of my absolute favorite places to go. Love the shrimp tacos & the drinks!
