This bar is a good place for a drink and games of pool. On the weekends, there is live music. If you want to play pool make sure to check that it is not a league or tournament night first. If you want to play in a tournament there is usually a buy in and starts around 8. Friendly service, cheap drinks, and smoking allowed inside makes this a blast from the past.

Best bar on Folly Beach… ESPECIALLY if you love Budweisers as much as I do… they are only $2!!! Awesome staff and great pool tables. Great vibes, highly recommend stopping in if you’re at Folly Beach and like to have fun!

The Sand Dollar holds a special place for those of us who call this town home. It’s a no nonsense hub, all walks of life here. Respect the establishment, the history, and the people who come here to experience genuine fun. This is where we come when we really want to live in the moment. Love it, long overdue review. Excellent "dive"! This place was a bit intimidating to walk into (which is exactly why I wanted to go into it) but do not be swayed by the biker feel and towering bouncer at the door! The bouncer was super nice and the barkeeps were adorable and very sweet. They had plenty of staff and the drinks are cheap! They have pool tables, a stage and a patio with huge open windows so if you're outside but still want to see and hear what's going on inside, you can. They have live music and a few people were dancing. I saw the Stilettos here and they were amazing. The crowd was a nice blend and noone seemed unwelcome or out of place. Bikers, men in suits, couples, polo shirt sports guys, tourists all meshed well and everyone was having a good time. I will definitely be back!

Big fan of this place. Very laid back basic dive bar with a lot of cool old Budweiser signage. Cash only, smoking inside, which I realize might bother some, but I really don’t mind. Very friendly bar staff and patrons of all kinds.

Love this place. Great dive bar. $1.50 cans of Budweiser all afternoon.

We are visit for 6 Day in Folly. Every Day we stay in the wunderfull Bar "Sand Dollar" it was a grate and beautiful time. The Bar is verry good. Thank You to Sand Dollar and Erica.

Members only, but a great hole in the wall place!

Erica is a chill and efficient bartender. The beers are well priced and the atmosphere is chill. Locals get to be members here and we were glad to come in after finally getting a house on Folly Beach. I was glad they had my favorite beer, too, Yuengling! They have good shots, too and other good beers.

Great hole in the wall bar. Staff was great, had some locals that were cool. Beer is cheap, pool tables and a jukebox (bands sometimes).
Overall a good dive bar. People from every walk of life in here...everyone was cool.

I had the most amazing weekend hanging out here at the Sand Dollar. The House band was amazing, and even allowed little ole me to get up and do a few numbers (don't think this is a regular thing... i was a HUGE exception).
Drinks are great, service was OUTSTANDING. I can't wait for an opportunity to get back down there... and bring a few dozen friends ! (great dance floor)

The best place in Folly to get a cheap beer and listen to some live music. The staff is great. Lots of locals shooting pool and having a good ol time. Watching the NBA finals as I write this review... If you come to Folly Beach, you don't want to miss this place...

This is as private club membership is only a dollar. You can smoke inside which makes it as great place to go when its crappy outside. It also is a cash only bar but they have an atm so don't worry. We enjoyed ourselves here and will definitely come back.

The closest thing you'll find to a true dive bar in Folly Beach. But hey, I love dive bars. It's got pool tables, cheap drinks, friendly service and local regulars. It may or may not be for you, but you'll definitely remember your visit.
