Beautiful little historic hotel. The room was well maintained and cozy. We loved the live music on the back patio! Would have like a little more selection on beverages but I settled in on a cheap wine, wanted a scotch or whiskey but couldn't find my flavor. Amazing views too and from the hotel. It's on the doorstep of Yosemite so very strategically located. Big fan of the Caprese salad.

WE LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! We spent the opening weekend of trout season in Groveland. It was our first time visiting and we can't wait to go back. First of all, Sarah, the hotel manager, started our trip off so perfectly with her kind, professional and accommodating manners. An absolute sweetheart. We stayed in the Adobe room with a walk in shower. I'm spoiled with my bed at home but this one didn't make me miss it at all. The pillows were so fluffy too. Don't get me started on the Chicken Masala!!! Best I ever had in my life. The salad was delicious too. We were lucky enough to stay here when they had Michael Roy as the live entertainment. It was a scene straight put of a movie, all of us patrons were up singing and dancing together and ended the night hugging eachother in a big circle while singing the final song. Groveland Hotel made friends out of strangers in the best way. Best bartender ever by the way!!! Can't wait to go back!!

We are sort of local to the area and took our friend here for a bachelorette party and it was so fun! The food was good and had a great time with the live music. Everyone was friendly :) The patio was fantastic

My gf absolutely loved this place. It's very authentic. She taught she was inside Gillmore girls series.

The owner is a friendly person.

Super charming, no complaints, very pet friendly!

We spent two nights at The Groveland Hotel for a quick Yosemite getaway. The simple queen was perfect for our needs - small, but sufficient. The suites looked really cute, too! The room was spotless, the mattress and comforter were very comfy and we had PIPING hot water, which is always nice after a long day on the road/in the park. Being about a 20 minute drive to the park (40 minutes to the valley) meant we had the perfect launchpad to see the snow at Tuolumne Grove.

The only disclaimer is that this is a historic hotel, which means the building is old and sound carries. If there are noisy guests, you might hear them, but there were even ear plugs available which was a very thoughtful gesture. We didn't have any late-night noise or disturbances from fellow guests so it was a total non-issue.

More nice things about the place: several dining options very closely located (we particularly liked Around the Horn brewery!), friendly staff, and a very cute outdoor patio/courtyard. We also very much appreciated the lack of single-use items like the toiletries and coffee mugs.

Overall, if we came back I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or recommend. Thanks so much, Jenn and Doug!

Best little getaway ever! My husband and two young kids planned a trip to a Yosemite. This was the perfect spot right out side of the park! We loved it! The rooms were so cute and the patio and bar were very clean and modern. They had live music and great food! They even gave my daughter snacks and a juice box when we arrived! Every single staff member was so friendly and kind. We will definitely be staying here again!

Stayed here whilst visiting Yosemite over Memorial Day weekend. The staff were friendly, our room was clean, the bed was comfy and our dog was welcomed with a treat! Love the upstairs porch that wraps around the hotel. The provisions outdoor dining and drinking area is also lovely, I wasn’t expecting much from the food but it was delicious. Overall, I would recommend staying here if you don’t mind a 1hr drive to the park.

The staff is absolutely exceptional and kind. There was a minor issue in our room and upon informing Andrea at the front desk, she immediately jumped into action to help us and offered us other accommodations as an apology.

The hotel room is also charming and quite pleasant. It is definitely notably a historic building, but my husband and I still found it cute and cozy.

We'd love to come back when possible.

A great place to stay for any occasion! An historic hotel wonderfully restored providing modern touches but with a period flare. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and we'll appointed.

A comfortable bar with excellent selections. An awesome patio area in the back. The food was good albeit a limited menu that hopefully will be expanded.

The staff is amazing, Shelly treated us like family, as did the rest!

We will be back!

Booked this last minute for a night after a tiring day in Yosemite. The room with the king bed is tastefully decorated with nice touches which we appreciated - bed was comfy, coffee and tea, water in refillable steel bottles and thick towels. You get a welcome drink when you check In before 830PM. All in all, I’d stay here again. They’re pet friendly too. The AC was refreshing in the heat but was centrally controlled so it was on and off. I read this in a review so I knew what to expect. The staff were all very nice and check in was hassle free. We’ll definitely stay here again.

This is a wonderful, lovely old house converted to a hotel, so glad I stayed here. The work done is impeccable. The room was quiet and had lovely views. The garden was excellent. I had a beer out there and really enjoyed it (I don't drink) Had a lovely fruity beer. They have many options. Their food was also very good. Good job and a pat on the back to the owner. Great place to stay if going to Yosemite. The road to get there is pretty harrowing though so be careful!! Lovely place.

Very clean, decorated nicely, queen bed very comfortable and warm. Staff was wonderful. Was a bit overcast and cold so loved the outdoor seating with heating, beautiful foliage and live music. Small menu with good food. Nice selection of wine and beer. Only complaint and four star review was the mirror's in our room were placed too high. Had to tiptoe to see. No, I'm not that short. Would stay again.

Beautiful place in the small and quaint town of Groveland. Even though we could not get the passes for Yosemite, worry not, you will have plenty of places to visit and Yosemite Park is still accessible - just not the popular valley area. The rooms are clean, bright and airy with tall ceilings - very comfortable stay. Everyone from the host (Shelley) to the bar and restaurant staff were so kind and helpful. Everyone at Groveland Hotel made us feel right at home.

We tried to enjoy everything on offer at the hotel - the food, the drinks and even the coffee - it all received top marks. Saturday night there was even a vintage vocalist who sang to modern jazz and it finished off our stay in the most magical way possible. Definitely recommend and there is parking on site and a farmers market within walking distance. The town is very small, but adequate enough to offer any of your groceries, snacks, etc.

The drive into Yosemite is just up the road - straight down the 120 (I think) - about 45 minutes out. It just goes to show, when you put so much passion into what you do - it shows. Keep up the good work guys.

Excellent and very helpful staff! Both the receptionist and the bartender were great. Plenty of parking. Just that it is a little far off from Yosemite (around 1 hr drive). So if you're planning to visit Yosemite and be back, keep the distance in mind. Great pizza places near by.

We had a wonderful stay here along with other family members just as Yosemite was re-opening. The whole staff was very warm and friendly and very responsive. Beds were comfortable and we took advantage of the onsite Provisions Taproom. The back patio was an extremely pleasant area to relax and enjoy a drink along with our food. They even had some live music! Love staying at a family-owned business who take pride in the history and the unique aesthetic that this beautiful hotel has to offer. Groveland is so very charming!

Great location when visiting Yosemite and not staying in the park! The building and grounds were beautiful and in great shape. The staff was always cheerful, available and helpful. Great drinks on tap and in cans/bottles. It's an older building and sounds from surrounding rooms can be an issue, so I'd recommend bringing ear plugs just in case.

Great wine and bourbon selection and you can pair it with tasty food or small plates. Live music even on a Sunday evening. There is a beautiful outdoor patio with a couple levels surrounded by lovely vegetation. Music was nice and you can still have conversation without a struggle if you are sitting on the lower half of the patio.

We really enjoyed our stay this week at the Groveland Hotel. The staff was great and very helpful, we loved having a drink in their very well-stocked bar with great whiskey, beer and wine. We brought our dog along too and the hotel is very pet friendly. Would love to come back when we have more time to relax! Midweek winter rates are excellent.

It was a last minute romantic getaway and the hotel did not disappoint! The hotel itself has Bed and Breakfast vibes with boutique hotel amenities. The owners and staff were super friendly and accommodating. It’s located a little over an hour from Yosemite, but it’s near some amazing watering holes that offer great swimming opportunities. The only downside was the majority of the town was closed-due to Covid, for the exception of some great restaurants. Such a great town! I’ll definitely be visiting again!
