Hungry Bear Cafe

We stopped by at Hungry Bear and we were two real hungry bears😊 I must say burgers were delicious. Service was top notch . Service Lady was extremely kind to fix our order and offer us extra French Fries too. We ll absolutely come back whenever we are around. Many thanks ❤❤🙏

Went for dinner while in town , and My burger was so juicy and tons of flavor you can see in the picture. Waitress was nice and helpful. Will be back 👍

This is a typical roadside diner with a fabulous deck view of pine trees. The food is not especially extraordinary but it is very tasty comfort style food. Service was met with a smile and the decor is fabulous with plenty of cute bear pictures everywhere. I would definitely recommend stopping in if you're up for a burger or some nachos.

Don't substitute the fries, you'll be missing out. Host was a bit spicy but perfectly pleasant. Cool dining area and patio. Would recommend stopping here on your way in or out of the park.

Loved the food here. Nice and friendly service. Order at the front, get a number and pick a seat. Sat outside on the porch and enjoyed life, food and company. Hungry after a day in Yosemite? Great place to fix that.

It’s the second time I go here. Food taste good, it’s little bit slow because there are only two people working here. I really love it

Food was delicious! Burgers are huge! Everything was good. We were a big party so we sat outside. It was a beautiful day in a beautiful place so it's all good.

This was the only spot open due to a power outage throughout Groveland. The folks who work here were super nice and the food was great after a hike in 90 degree weather. We’re so glad we stopped here to escape the heat!

I eat breakfast here with my children at least once a week. For being very short staffed with only one cook available for our winter season the food takes a while but tastes amazing. Carol and Hal do a great job working the front. The best thing to get is the Kyles breakfast if you want something simple but the berry and banana pancakes are the way to go if your looking for something sweet and fancy.

When we arrived the cafe was hit with a pretty big rush with only two employees in the restaurant and they totally rocked it! Awesome, kind attitudes and the menu is great. I got the zesty chicken wrap with added guacamole and was not disappointed— big portion size with ingredients that tasted fresh served with hot and crispy fries. We also got the mozz sticks which they serve with ranch instead of marinara sauce. As Midwestern visitors to this cafe, it was an extra twist we enjoyed ;)

We stopped here to grab a quick bite on the way to Inyo and it ended up being a great choice. We had the bbq chicken sandwich and the southwest salad, both of which were great. The service was also very friendly and the staff were kind enough to let us fill our huge water bottles, and even offered to fill them up for us. Would come here again

We had a very good breakfast there best (european) coffee in the area. A fast wifi is provided an the staff is helpful and nice.

We came here twice on our trip to Yosemite. The Hungry Bear had protein-heavy meals great for hiking. The food came out really fast and was reasonably priced. The service was great and the menu had a wide selection (and was delicious).

The biggest breakfast burritos I've ever seen. Fed me for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Stopped in for breakfast. The French toast was delicious as was the hash browns. My partner had the chicken fried steak with hash browns and loved it as well. Highly recommend. Just know you order at the counter before sitting down. There were a few confused patrons there when we were.
