I cannot believe it took me this long to discover this spot! I love a good chicken salad sandwich and they have just that and so much more. Easy to grab and go. And have all the classic Southern fixings. Love it! Definitely just turned into one of my regular lunch spots

My sister & I were visiting from Boston. We stopped in and got 2 boxes with fried chicken, 2 sides & a biscuit. The food was amazing! Jamie came out to talk to us, he was so friendly. We will definitely be going back next time we’re in Savannah.

Wow, got to meet Jamie Deen (Paula's son) he came out to greet us and was very personable. He recommended food so we tried a few different items. 3 small sandwich mix. This was a pimento cheese, egg salad, and a chicken salad. All excellent. I have to say the fried chicken with mac-n-cheese and collar greens was amazing. You have to try this place.

My wife and I actually got to meet and talk with Jamie at the restaurant. We talked about watching him and his mom and brother on the earlier shows. He was very friendly and was really surprised that we knew so much about the family. It seemed to really take him back. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to The Chicken Box! And actually meeting and speaking with Jamie Deen.
Hopefully, next time we are in Savanah, Paula Deen will also be in town and we can meet her!
We would also like to meet Bobby, didn't mean to leave him out!

dont miss this spot!! best collard greens ever, amazing bbq, fried chicken, mac and cheese - biscuits to die for! sweet tea was superb as well. this southern girl was in heaven :) nice place to eat outside. bonus got to meet Jamie and he was so genuine and kind! awesome business check it out yall!

The best fried chicken in town! The chicken is flavorful down to the bones. The crispy, lighter breading doesn’t take away from the chicken. The greens were also tasty and not greasy. Tons of flavor. Came on the Southern Flavors of Savannah tour with Cristina. A must-stop on your next trip to Savannah.

The food tasted wonderful. The portions were large and everything was reasonably priced. My party especially enjoyed well, everything! The service was great too. I'll happily return.

5 stars. 10/10. Two thumbs up! My wife and I were visiting from San Diego and looking for a quick bite close to our hotel. We stumbled on this gem and wow are we glad we did. The food and service was amazing. We got a little bit of this, little bit of that. You absolutely cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. It was so good, we're already planning on stopping in for lunch again tomorrow. I never thought I would daydream about broccoli casserole but here we are haha.

Really good southern food. Huge portions! More of a to-go spot, but they do have outdoor seating. Nice staff!

My family and I visited from Michigan last week. The Chicken Box was the first place we ate at in Savannah and we couldn't be happier we picked this place first! The food was delicious, fried chicken, chicken wrap, mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese were amongst the foods we bought. My boys, 22 and 20, loved the food, my 20 year old said it was the best mac and cheese he ever had. My chicken wrap was delicious. Jamie was a delight, so friendly and personable, and the two girls working with him were beyond friendly too. Such a pleasant lunch sitting outside. We loved every minute of it.

Very good food. The fried chicken & biscuits were excellent so were the sides of yams and mac and cheese. Got to meet Jamie Deen who was very personable and extremely nice. Very hospitable gave us points of interest to go see and do. Highly recommend stopping in.

Was wandering downtown Savannah and needed a quick bite. What an excellent choice. Hot fresh fried catfish and out of this world greens.

We drove up on our Scooters with our Dogs, and Jamie was taking a break on the Patio, we got a couple of photos he is such a nice guy. Food was perfect I had the trio sandwich and it was very fresh and delicious, also got the fried chicken and sides were perfect. Very fair prices.. Thanks Jamie for talking to us guys from Florida !!

Great food and even better people! We visited on our last day in Savannah and loved it so much, we made a stop on the way out of town with lots to go! Everyone was so friendly and that hot honey sauce is to die for. We will definitely be back.

We had originally went into Paula Deen’s restaurant next door ( Lady & Sons) and found out it was served family style/all you can eat. We knew we couldn’t eat that much and the nice lady working in the gift shop suggested The Chicken Box. Also owned by Paula Deen. This is THE BEST tasting food I’ve eaten my entire trip here in Savannah GA!
The portions are huge. Great value for the price. I got the chicken fingers, brocolli casserole, green beans & a biscuit. The chicken was fresh, hot, crispy batter. The broccoli casserole had nice large pieces of brocolli & you can tell it was real cheese & high quality ingredients. Green Beans.... oh my goodness..... large chunks of ham & potatoes, small pieces of onion , extremely tasty, better than the ones I make at home! The owner & girl working the counter were extremely friendly. I highly recommend and wish I would have discovered this Gem on my first day here!

Wonderful little spot for a quick bite or even a leisurely lunch! Lots of options from the L&S next door, but also options for great salads and sandwiches. Staff is wonderful and so helpful! Lovely outdoor seating to enjoy your meal!
