Jerry's Artarama Retail Stores - Tempe

Jerry's is on the other side of t he Valley for us, but we go there often ... it's worth the trip! They have a huge range of art and craft supplies, for artists of all genres and hobbyists, and even teachers in general classrooms, as well at those teaching art. Great place! Helpful and content knowledgeable staff. Clean and friendly place. Even your canine pals with respective manners are welcome! Also, amateur artists can hang some of there work to sell at no charge to the artist!

The place was clean, organized, and very easy to find the art supplies I needed. The staff members were welcoming and helpful. There were plenty of sales going on, making it very affordable to get the things I wanted. I will go back again.

I love this little store and the knowledgeable employees. The employees are always kind and willing to help. Most of all they all know how to respect paper. I go in there to buy large sheets. All artist know that oils from hands can really mess up your paper. Ever time I hold my paper and don't let them touch it the cashiers are always understandable and smile. The older gentleman in there has a system to bag so he doesn't touch it. I love ❤ it!!
The best part about going into this store is exploring the isles and finding new supplies that you won't find online. Nor can you examine paper, canvas, and wood panels to make sure there are no flaws. The big box store have slimmed down quality fine art supplies to their house brands that are cheap. With Jerry's you can trust the house brand to be in line with fine art professional grade. I did the research on their water colors! They carry 100% cotton water color paper here as well.
Jerry's is not publicly traded. I prefer to support smaller businesses. FYI, No one has ever asked me for a tip at this store. But if they did.... well I would tip. Hopefully karma would comeback to me one day when I sell my art.

Really amazing art shop! Got supplies for everything I can think of. There are some great sales on now so the store prices are cheaper than the online. Plus, you get a 10% discount for being an in-store member.

This is a non-chain art store with a rather large selection of supplies for the budding artist. They have a Picture Framing section and then sections for all the different styles and medias. Paint, Pencil, Clay etc. All sorts of Paper as well. The best part though is when you walk into the store you are greeted by Bob Ross. Let your Post Modern, Urban Hipster Out and come to Jerry's.

Amazing authentic art store with the best prices and staff! All the staff are knowledgeable and obviously know their stuff. Every time I go here I buy something because their prices are so reasonable and the variety of products means they always have something new I want to try. I recently got a piece of art framed here and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They did not try to upsell me something, they were respectful of my low budget and they did an AMAZING job. The lady even recognized me as I walked in. Definitely come here before trying a chain art supply retailer because the staff and prices make this place a much better experience.

I have their frequent buyer card. I am a professional artist so I need high quality supplies not craft level. Their framing is very nice. The staff is very helpful. And they carry lots of top brands in paint and brushes
Plus whole sets of colors and one at a time and larger quanties of most used colors. ie white oil paint in big tubes. It is my go to store.

This is like Disneyland for artists! I swear the smell of new fresh supplies is the best smell! You get art ideas just looking at all the supplies!!
The staff are also very helpful and polite!!

Best in class for custom framing! If you want to talk through a project, Stevie will help you find the right frames, mattes, and layout to make your art and memorabilia shine! Very reasonable prices (especially during great sales), and all-around great vibe with all the staff. Make a stop next time you need a frame job (not the criminal conspiracy kind...well, maybe? they're pretty crafty. --dad joke)

I used to buy art supplies online from this store before I moved to the Phoenix/Tempe area. I loved the store they have everything I needed at a reasonable price. Once I moved I found their store in Tempe. What a delight! It’s like a child walking in a candy store and the people are friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend you take a visit to this store for the serious artists supplies.

Great selection of art (and some other crafts) supplies, very friendly and helpful staff, and really low prices. Simply doesn't get any better.

Also care enough about their customers to not only require masks (thank you, Jerry's!), but also to gather up your order and bring it to you while you wait outside if you don't have one!

I damaged a fine art canvas and was saved by Casey and David. They gave me several options. See picture. I am not an artist…….yet. This Emporium has everything for the artist: from a complete frame/mat shoppe to supplies, easels, books, and hardware. I even bought a cool 5 dollar watch for my artist friend. It was on sale along with a raft of other goodies. I will frame our next infrared aquisition here. And maybe take up painting someday soon! Casey And David made are super knowledgeable and the shopping experience really pleasant.

They have just about anything you could need for painting, drawing, and sculpting. This isn't just some craft store though, it's not a Michael's. This is a store for artists who focus on these mediums. There is a wide variety of items and there are many prices to consider. Yes, you can spend a fortune here, but you can also be aware of what you are choosing to buy and take time to compare items.

I have never had an issue with the customer service. I have always been promptly greeted and asked if I needed help. Last time I was there, I was made aware of a near-by Buddha Board on which to test the brush strokes of various paint brushes. No complaints!

Went in today for my first time. Was very surprised at the inventory for painting supplies they had everything I could need. Spent a good amount of money but got alot of great deals in the process. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and spent a good time walking me around the store and giving me ideas and tips for my next piece. Will definitely go back and continue to do business with! You shouldn't be disappointed. And much better then Michael's. (:

Jerry's is my favorite well stocked modestly priced art supply store in Tempe. I'd much rather give my business to this store over Michaels any day of the week. Staff is friendly and helpful and there is usually a good supply of whatever you need for art.

My partner and I visited Jerry’s custom framing shop to get a few pieces framed. We had such a great experience that we returned the following day to get two more items matted and framed. We were helped by two amazing staff members. Tara and Russell were patient, funny, kind and offered aesthetic advice while choosing frames and matting that made all the difference. I highly recommend Jerry’s, Tara, Russell, and the other great staff members for all your framing needs!

This is by far one of my favorite art supply stores to go to. I play with so many various art techniques and styles that require a vast collection of supplies (printmaking, painting, book making, etc), that this has been my go to place because they carry such a wide variety of supplies for many different categories. It's totally worth the drive every time to do so.
