Muffler Man

I’ve had five different cars with various problems repaired at this mechanic. Every experience was easy, fair, and transparent. Call ahead to get put on the next days list. I’ve rarely had longer than one day turnaround after dropping it off. I genuinely do not use any other mechanic because of how well these guys have treated me and my family.

Absolutely my favorite mechanic to go to! They are so nice and don't try to take advantage or get more money! Even inspected my car for free when it was my tires that were the problem And they don't even do tires and they've helped my grandma out in similar ways! First mechanic shop I felt I could legitimately trust!

I was expecting good service from the reviews but man I wasn’t expecting the quality and speed to be so great. Old muffler cut off and new one installed within 30 minutes. On top of that I know the next part to fix as well. All for $100!! Seriously don’t know where I could’ve gotten a better deal. Thanks again y’all!

I'm a first time customer and couldn't be more pleased with their service. I took my vehicle in to have my muffler inspected. They got my vehicle in right away and within minutes of inspecting my vehicle, they found the issue: the muffler was knocking against the front hanger. Another auto shop tried to charge me over $400 for a new muffler, when the issue turned out to be the hanger! 20 minutes and thirty dollars later, they fixed the issue!!! Yes, you read that right. They only charged me $30 for parts and labor!!! They now have a customer for life!!! 😁

So thankful for this place after being ripped off by others. Pretty simple really, they did the job and the did it right. Seems silly to say...but I took my car to a small local shop in Flushing to have same part replaced....$1000 later they replaced a handful of other parts and LOOKED at the part I asked them to fix, didnt fix it....nooo...just LOOKED at it. Forget that place, go here. Ive only had one experience with them, but it was a great one. Even with having to order right from Honda, it was much cheaper than I expected. My car is so dang smooth now! Dont imagine I'll waste my time going anywhere else.

My exhaust rusted out/broke between the catalytic and resonator. Took it to Muffler Man the next day as they told me they had a line but would try to get it in by 1. Dropped the car off and within an hour they told me what was wrong with it and how much it would be. My car was fixed and ready 45 mins later. Great work and great upfront pricing!

Customer service is great and the workers are very intelligent. It's my top pick because of the people and service!!

Mike Bowen of Muffler Man in Clio went out of his way to make up a couple muffler extensions for my Honda GL1800 Goldwing trike. Lehman trike company has been out of business for several years making it impossible to aquire. Thank You Mike, for doing an outstanding job that I was in desperate need for!! Ray

I highly recommend this Clio, MI location !! I’m a Realtor and yesterday 30 min before they closed my serpentine belt broke due to a crankshaft seal oil leak. They were booked for the next 30min. I told him my situation and Rick told me to come on in. He was able to replace the belt so I could get to my next appointment at 5:30pm and I scheduled to come back in this morning to get the seal replaced. Because of Rick I didn’t have to rent a car or cancel my appointment. Thank you Rick for going above and beyond !!! More importantly I don’t have to rent a car for my daughter and I going to see the Nickelback concert in Grand Rapids tomorrow!!

Did a great job on my flex pipe. Also they were busy I wasn't sure I was going to get it done but they came through and my car is running great.

So,, today I took my 07 Nissan Quest van to the CLIO Muffler Man for some "serious" shaking in the front end. Like tire about to fly off shaking. Was very concerned something was on the verge of breaking completely & leaving me stranded.
**I need to state here that 2 weeks prior, I had the van "diagnosed" at the Pierson Rd Muffler Man. And though I'd never used them before, I had gone to the Davison Rd & Clio locations previously with positive results, so felt comfortable with the franchise. They were close to where I was at the time,, so I had them do brake pads all around + rear shocks. After the repairs & "diagnostic", I was informed that my van additionally "needed quickly" the following: Rack & Pinion (does indeed have a leak) Outer Tie Rods, CV Axles, Front Struts & Links, perhaps more.
Ballpark cost $2800-$3400 parts/labor! Yikes!!
Fast forward 2 weeks after the shocks & brakes repair, and van is all over the place. Bouncy, jerky, unstable. I head to Clio Muffler Man. Figure I'll try to do one or two of those big $$ repairs, spread them out if at all possible. I tell the manager I'd like them to tell me what needed the most "immediate" attention first, so as not to wreck the van. They checked it all out, came back in and told me, "for an old van, the front end is pretty tight,, doesn't seem to be anything needing attention right now, except the leaking rack, which for now, I can just keep topping off.
SAY WHAT???
But, but, but,,, what about the tie rods, links struts, CV parts, etc., etc?????
None are an immediate issue. Parts look and feel secure.
BUT......." The rear tires, (which appear to have approx 40% tread left), looked to have separating "belts within the tread".
THAT is the likely culprit", the 2 totally helpful & HONEST mechanics at the CLIO Muffler Man told me.

I immediately head over to Discount Tire. They confirm the tire issue.
Two tires & $108 later, (NOT $2800+)
the van goes down the road smoothly & safely.
I literally thank God for the two men at the CLIO MUFFLER MAN, who were honest & helpful to me, when they so easily could have done otherwise.
I'd recommend this location to any and every one who finds themselves in an uncertain automotive situation. ☺

These guys are good and always friendly. They always make the customer they're waiting on feel like they're the most important person that walked through the door. I've been there quite a few times and never for the same problem twice, except oil changes I keep returning for those because I trust these guys.

Good auto repair at reasonable prices

Happy with the exhaust work done. They took the time to do it right and at a reasonable rate. Had me in and out same day while I waited in no time. I even saw the guy measuring everything once installed to make sure everything is even, much more quality than most shops that would weld once and ship it out the door. I’ll be back for more

I had a headlight out and needed it replaced. They orignally thought it would take about 2 hours to replace it. But the guy working on it knew a quicker way, so it cut my labor charges in half! They kept me updated the whole time. I would definitely recommend!! The are honest & aren't there to rip you off! 🙂

Clio muffler man has is amazing. Very good pricing. Very good diagnostics. They have great scheduling and had no problem getting my car in and repaired. Friendly and helpful staff. Won't be taking my car anywhere else.
