If you would have told 14 year old me that one of my favorite shops in town would be a frame shop I would have called you a dork and rode off on my bike. But here we are 20 years later and this place is one of my favorite gems in the Rhinelander area.

Diane has done a few items for me. If you have a frame and picture but need a mat, she'll do that! Most recently she framed a painting I bought on a recent trip. She gives recommendations on mat color, thickness, frames, frame size, and any other questions you may have. She does fantastic work and in a reasonable time! I will be going back when I have another project!

Delightful shoppe! The handiwork and creativity of this couple astounds me what with the amazing variety of ideas and services available. I was first introduced to the shoppe through the Taste of Chocolate event. They offered the best, most tasty chocolates of any of the businesses downtown (imo)! Diane is a wonderful individual and easy to talk with. If you're looking for a custom job, event resource or even local art, this is the place to go. I can't wait to work with them in the future!

Went in to get a new frame for a picture. What a neat shop! Yes, they have frames and do custom frames. They also do shadow boxes, have some already made with curio displays, and a variety of gifts, mostly of carved or joined woods.
We enjoyed prompt and friendly service and need to go back when we have time to browse.

Thank you so much for taking the extra time and patience with me to make my son’s graduation picture a beautiful memory. I had no clue how a simple choice of a mat color can take something so special to a different level. I will definitely be back, if not for more framing, for precious items you have throughout your shop!

Jaron Childs, owner of this establishment, was extremely helpful with a piece we consider a family heirloom. He helped us pick a new matt for the artwork and repaired a divot in the frame that occurred when it fell from a wall years ago. I have several Irish tiles I would like to have framed and I will go back to Childs Frame Co. to work with Jaron.
