Anita Deli Sandwich

One of, if not the best Reuben sandwiches (Fighting Irishman) I've ever had. Anita and staff are great and after numerous visits I can consistently say that every sandwich they make is a hit.
If you're in the mood for a darn good sandwich this is the place for you.

This place is the real deal. After moving here from the northeast I thought I'd never have a good deli sandwich again. So so so delicious and really decent prices compared to the tourist spots downtown

My boyfriend and I moved away from Savannah two years ago, and are constantly reminiscing about our delicious meals at Anita’s deli. When we come back to Savannah this is the first place we will go. The food quality is consistent and perfect every time, which is a product of the caring and passionate owners who put their heart and soul into this deli. I love this place!! my friends and i discovered it over the summer from a post on reddit. we came here at least once a week to get food to bring to the beach. the best part, the sandwiches all traveled well and were still delicious an hour later at the beach!! the owner is incredibly sweet and seems very dedicated to serving fantastic food. a must try!!

I honestly don't bother getting a sandwich anywhere else.

Fantastic food....that's all that should be said...but we ordered the Roy Rogers and the Rye Guy....the Roy was spectacular, melt in your mouth...thin cuts of roast beef on thick bread...and a pickle spear....wife had the Rye, thin slices of corned beef with coleslaw.... absolutely fabulous....it's an art form really ...stop in, you won't regret it

Stopped to get a couple of sandwiches for the road on the way out of Savannah… fun people, delicious and fresh sandwiches (and sides), cute shop… highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed! Thank you!

As a vegan I loved my sandwich. I ordered the VeggieMite with no avocado (just a preference) and it might have been one of my favorite sandwiches ever. I am now realizing though that I am unsure if the honey mustard put on top is vegan though... (it might have mayo?) A little too late now but my order took exactly 15 minutes but I enjoyed waiting inside as the atmosphere was good!

Stopped in for lunch after seeing the long wait for another close by restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food. Great sandwiches and yummy soup. The employees were all very friendly. Would definitely recommend for a casual meal.

Off the beaten path and worth it. Small and quiet. Delicious salads (egg, tuna, chicken) and fantastic “Ultimate Grilled Cheese” on sourdough (although I would replace American cheese with Colby).
Get there early, they sell out fast.

As a customer, I would like to thank this wonderful deli for their fantastic food and their overall diligence at serving the best food at the best price. I've been going to Anita's for over a year and I've never been disappointed. They are friendly, down-to-earth, professional and top-notch. Anytime I'm in Savannah it's mandatory that I go by for a visit and have one of their wonderful sandwiches!

Holy amazing sandwich Batman! This is the judge and a bagel with dill schmear. Quality fresh ingredients, perfectly toasted. This will be a stop every trip to Savannah going forward. Thank you.

Friendly and efficient.

Loved the Southern Gobbler. YUM.

We also tried the:

Egg salad
Cucumber salad
Macaroni
And
Potato salad(we added a mustard pack)

All were really good.

We even loved the chips.

Delish wraps and sandwiches (I tried the veggiemite since I’m vegan) and I loved it! Wrap was crispy and fresh!! Would recommend!

Absolutely amazing Albacore Tuna Salad... They make your selection as it is ordered, right in front of you... The wife got the Southern Gobbler and it was equally as delicious... The Lemon Bars a great as well .. definitely worth a stop if you are off the beaten path in historic district!!!

I was craving a good deli sandwich and after googling many places I came across anita’s. I decided to give it a shot and I am so happy i did. My sandwich was amazing and the price wasn’t bad at all either. Definitely will be returning!

Great menu options with friendly owners and staff. Best sandwich I’ve had from any shop in a very long time! You can personalize anything you want too.

The customer service is amazing, as along is the food. The first time I went I got a bagel with cream cheese, a classic, and they did not disappoint. Then I got the Sandwich of the Week which was provolone, turkey, bacon, tomatoes, on sourdough. It was all warm, the sandwich held perfectly but when I did bite into it, it melted into my mouth. It was one of the best sandwiches I've had. The place itself was dingy, which definitely added a little "mom and pop" vibe to it, which I liked. The only thing I noticed was that it was a little bit dirty, but that didn't take away from the experience at all. And the people that run it are very friendly and super inviting whenever you come in, whether they know you are not. 10/10 place, I am definitely coming back again.

OMG!! Talk about an amazing lunch the favors in the 5 bean salad. You will want to drink the juice. Ms. Anita and her staff welcomed two travelers in the last hour of business. They were extremely accommodating and after 12hrs on the road, we need a nice break. If you are every passing through Savannah this is a great stop. Gourmet sandwiches, sides and desserts we had it all. Thank you ❤❤❤
