Picture This

These are the first two beloved pieces of art that I brought to Dez and they won’t be the last if I’m fortunate enough to acquire other treasures because with Dez it was a co-creation that I think made those originals heirloom quality (and makes me happy to look at each day). She was very respectful about listening to my ideas and questions and also was able to give me the guidance I wanted. She’s got such a huge variety of materials and is so skilled at bringing out the best of the art and helping it shine. It’s also so clear that she really loves what she does so we had fun together. Lastly, the price and date she estimated were exactly when and how much it turned out to be. We’re lucky to have her here in Juneau.

Working with Dezarae was very much a sincere pleasure. She was able ferret out the look I was looking for in a relaxed atmosphere. The artwork made the trip through the mail system unscathed all the way to Pennsylvania thanks to her careful packaging. Dezarae also communicated regularly through email to keep me informed of the schedule. For this I thank her.

I Love these Mattes. I have bought one for all my major Vacations since 2007(Alaska Cruise- Where I first saw this matte). I've always been happy with the results and the Matte allows me to be creative. My last Matte was a challenge but every need I had was met by the staff. These Mattes are terrific. Buy them with confidence.

Dez showed that anything is possible. I think we both had fun coming up with a design, colors and items for a xmas present from the Ironman in Melbourne Australia relay we did in November 2022. Her color ideas and framing really made the piece pop. Also she was able to get it all done early. Do use them if you are in Juneau. Cheers

The frames were beautiful, exactly what we wanted and envisioned. Again, we appreciate the exceptional service you provided to us in coordinating the development of the photos with another vendor, picking those up from them, ordering the frames and then putting them in the frame & delivering them to us. You are AMAZING!

I showed up at Des' shop with a print that had been stashed in my closet for months, too overwhelmed to make a plan. She spent considerable time talking to me about options. W/in weeks she had cleaned and painted a frame I found at the Salvation Army, embellished the print with gold paint and miniscule flecks of glitter, and had the piece ready for pick up. The final result was even more beautiful that I could have envisioned, and I am thrilled to have this piece of artwork out of my closet and on my wall, catching the light and illuminating my room. She is far more than a framer, she is an artist with remarkable talent, vision and creativity.

My first time getting a custom framing done and I can't tell you how helpful Dez was. She made me feel like a collaborator in an artistic process and not just a customer. And, at the end of it all, I have a beautiful work framed even more beautifully. There is no way to recommend this shop enough!

I wish I could find the words to express how much I love and appreciate Picture This in Juneau. Recently I took in two prints which were both very important to me. These incredible ladies helped me pick out the matting, frames & colors, walking and working with me through every step of the process. Their patience and professionalism were very much appreciated. The framed prints came out better than I could have imagined. I have no hesitation recommending this shop and I will be using them again in the future

I recently had my first ever art show and I could not have done it without John’s help!
I already had the frames but needed to get matting made and the hardware to hang the frames. He helped me figure out the right size of matting so it would not bow when I put the brads in. He also made sure I had the right tools to use on the frames because they were a harder wood than I thought.
Just before the show, tragedy hit. Accidents happen and the glass in a few of the frames broke. John cut new glass for me and saved the day!
