Tommeez Pizza & Sub

The “soft opening” was 03/01/24 and the place has been super busy from the time the door unlocked. They have ordered extra pizza pans and proof every pan (over 100 total) every day. The oven holds 6 large pizzas and is packed full constantly. There’s a line of customers to the door! The new owners owned their own pizza shop for years- they have plenty of experience. They’ve tried their best to keep the exact recipe as the original Tommy’s. It’s a busy happening atmosphere! If you really want your pizza, better get it early! Demand is bigger than supply ❤

I’ve been in Shepherdstown about ten years now and am grateful to have the opportunity to enjoy this pizza again. The staff was lovely and kind and the pizza is obviously delicious. They just opened and everyone in town has been anticipating it. Please be patient with them. It will even out, but for now we should all be grateful for the wonderful nostalgia and hard working staff.

I've ordered Tommeez once a week since it reopened and the subs are the best in the area. The pizza is solid as well. Reminds me of old pizza hut pan pizza without the grease. Definitely recommended but be patient as they tend to get busy after 5.

One of the best pizzas I've ever had.. plenty of toppings and cooked to perfection.. Steak and cheese was huge and it was a small.. great food,awesome owners and relaxed atmosphere..

Really good pizza! We got the veggie pie. Don’t sleep on the Stk & Cheese. Delicious. Better than what you’ll get in Philadelphia. IMO.

For those reading this please note that this is the new Tommeez Pizza. The owner of the original Tommys Pizza passed away in 2023. Any review older than March of 2023 is a reflection of the old Tommys.

The new Tommeez pizza is awesome, their pizza is fresh and loaded with toppings. Subs and burgers are top notch as well!

Pizza uses same recipe as former owner. Best pizza in town. You won't be disappointed.

Great pizza! I was told by another customer that the ingredients are all homemade, I didn't ask the owner but the man that told me worked there years ago. Nice atmosphere and the staff was very friendly. This was the best pizza I've had in a long time, we will be back for more!

Just the smell of my pizza is five stars. I think it is funny, I see a few people from out of town giving low ratings, and complain about the old guy working there. He’s the owner, and he is super old-school. The way he is, is actually one of the quarks that make this place special. I enjoy going there, and supporting his business. Great food, and straight to the point. Buy food, eat food, get out. Then come back and do it again!

They have very good steak and cheese subs. Update: 11/6/2022, Tommy's is closed due to the owner passing away. Update: 3/13/2024 Tommez is open with new owners.

I’ve driven by this place for years thinking man I need to try that place, don’t be like me! We finally tried this place tonight and it is some of the best pizza I’ve ever had New York or anywhere. The other joints in the area don’t even compare. Definitely gonna be a regular

Great, fast pizza every time for generations of satisfied customers! My favorite pizza anywhere. Great price. They also have delicious subs etc. Eat in or take to the C&O canal or the Morgans Grove park for a lovely picnic. The chain restaurants can’t compete!

Whenever I crave pizza this is definitely what I want. It's just delicious. The place ain't too big but it's enough space. We always order pepperoni half mushroom and it's always great. Fast service as well

One of my favorite spots for decades. As a kid, we'd pool our change together for a bag of fries, or if we were lucky we'd have enough to split a pizza. Nowadays I prefer the hamburgers and like that they have a few refrigerated beer and soda cases. It's usually a quiet place for a quick bite to eat and one of the best grab and go places in Shepherdstown. No frills, no hassles, delivery is sometimes available.

As others have noted, maybe not Mr. Personality, but the food is excellent.
For the poster who said it was expensive, I don't know what you ordered, but I can get two large pizzas for a little over what one would cost me at Kings. (And without the extra grease!)
Sometimes you'll call, and the phone just rings. Call back, it's worth it.

Out of towner looking for a pie for the big game. Definitely did not disappoint. Stop by and get a small everything and a six pack...

As a kid into my teenage years my brother & I worked at Tommys Pizza.. George is just like a BIG brother to us. We love him endless..
