We walked in and it was busy for the holiday weekend but staff was super friendly and sat us shortly after we walked in. It's an older place but a true gem and the food is GREAT. My husband and I are visiting from out of town and read the reviews so decided to stop by and it did not disappoint! The biscuit and sausage gravy is heavenly. The pancakes were bigger than my husband's head. You will leave here full. All of this was only $24, a steal to us! If we visit Sheperdstown again we will be back!

The best breakfast around, The staff work very hard and it does not go unnoticed by us here in town. It is Cash Only. Seating can be scarce at times because it’s so good people bust down the doors. The food is much better than chain restaurants and I would much rather spend my money here.

This is a charming, old-school style diner nestled in the downtown of Shepherdstown. The food is exactly like you would expect from a country diner. The staff are friendly and helpful.

We were visiting my wife’s uncle who is the catholic priest here in Shepardstown and he recommended this place for breakfast. We were so glad he did because this place was amazing. We loved the old school diner feel and the waitresses and staff were so nice and friendly! They gave our little ones crayons to draw on and had a high chair waiting for us without even asking. The food was delicious as we about had one of everything and the prices were cheap as you were gonna get. Highly recommend eating here and will definitely be back next time we visit!

Betty’s NEVER disappoints! This gem is the best home cooked breakfast ever! I can’t speak on lunch as I only have had breakfast there but from food to atmosphere and everything in between its a phenomenal hometown diner ❤and did I mention the chip beef gravy is amazing 🤩

Strolled in here with my party of three and Cara and the crew were super attentive and friendly. She spoiled me(I had forgotten my southern life what small town and southern hospitality was like)with southern hospitality and politeness. She came back and checked on my party, always refilling our beverages. She gave us ample time to decide and order. I’ll definitely be back again. Thanks a bunch Betty’s restaurant crew!!

A very busy restaurant with just about anything you have a taste for on the menu. The menu is reasonably priced, and they also give nice full plate size hotcakes.

Finally had the chance to eat here after passing by for quite couple years. Awesome. Asked the waitress as to what is popular. - both breakfast and lunch. She said gravy with beef chi or sausage. Had the sausage one In a crock pot like. With egg and potatoes. Am really impressed! They said it is all home made! Will be back!

Truly an authentic local American diner/restaurant full of charm and fosters community. The staff was so friendly and kind. The food selection was great, and amazing lunch and breakfast options. Food was made with love and soul. Highly recommend.

The perfect breakfast place for a small town like Shepherdstown. Pancakes and chipped beef were amazing and the staff is very friendly. Come hungry because the portion sizes are huge and VERY satisfying!

Delicious homestyle food. You'd swear your mom or gramma were in the back cooking. Best biscuits I've ever had. Sausage gravy is amazing.

Betty's Restaurant is quite the hidden gem. I have lived close to Shepherdstown my whole life and didn't know what I was missing. They are a cash only business but their food is very affordable and delicious. Breakfast is great but the star of the show is the crab cakes! Honestly they were the best I've eaten in a long time. The environment is very down homey and they have a train that travels the perimeter inside which is fun to watch. Service is prompt and attentive. Stop in and you won't be disappointed.

Great place for breakfast and lunch. It’s cash only, but they do have an ATM. So far I’ve had the Chip Beef and Gravy and the Hot Hamburger w/ French Fries and gravy, and I highly recommend both.

Great food, nice atmosphere. Definitely come for the cheesecake if nothing else, it's the best. Also note, they only accept cash.

Betty’s was a recommendation from locals for a good breakfast in town. Had the ram skillet. Delicious mix of potatoes, eggs, cheese, sausage and gravy in a bowl. As a FYI, cash only. Would go back.

Family style diner, very friendly staff and the food was outstanding. Had a few minute wait to get seated, but food was worth it. Must be a town favorite because the place was packed the entire time we were there.

Dak from Star Wars likes this place & so will you! Bring your cash as they dont take credit cards. Our hotel had stopped serving breakfast but I was craving eggs badly. The front desk recommended Betty's and we headed straight there. Fast service and home style cooking hit the spot. Rock bottom prices with options for organic and Turkey sausage make Betty's a future destination.

we absolutely loved this little cafe. the service was excellent, the location was perfect and the food was so DELICIOUS! if you are staying in the Harper's ferry area etc and want breakfast this is the PLACE TO GO! we were looking for a little place to have breakfast and I'm so glad we tried this place. a little down home cozy place to eat. my husband got the chip beef and I got the eggs and turkey sausage. we also got the corn beef hash. ALL EXCEPTIONAL! I'm looking forward to the next time we're in the area to go there again. any other than 5 star review is for someone that just has to be unhappy with life overall lol.. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
