Pine Point Center

My nephew, who is a paranoid schizophrenic, entered this facility in a debilitated physical state , while recovering from severe sepsis. There are not enough words to express the multitude of positive comments about the excellent care he received at all levels. Everyone in the physical therapy, nursing staff and administrative departments were extremely helpful to give him the best care possible. They were, also, very helpful to his family members.
His mental health condition did not always make him the most cooperative person. However, he was met with extreme kindness and patience with everyone who attended to his needs. Sadly, his life ended within 2 months of his admission.
Considering the fact that his stay was from November until January, the holiday schedules did not have a negative impact on the quality of care he received. Everything continued smoothly during this time.

With all the challenges that residential healthcare facilities are facing, it is heartwarming and helpful to know the staff at Pine Point Center always gave 100% effort and excellent care.

I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who is in need of short term or long term care.

The staff are very nurturing and respectful to my husband (short-term resident) and my self. The place is lovely and very comforting; like being at home. He loves the food; cleaned his plate! Staff were available for my questions and my husband’s. They are very patient with my husband. Thank you for being a part of my husband’s continuing healing journey! My Mom is in Rehab here. The entire staff is considerate attentive compassionate and professional. They are friendly and kind to my Mom. I've been very happy that my Mom is treated well and cared about. I am informed to her progress on a consistent basis. The Rehab is clean and has a nice comfortable atmosphere. The food is good and a good variety, served hot n on schedule.

My mother was 94 when she could no longer live at home because she needed help with basic every day living and we were fortunate enough to find a room for her at Pine Point Center. The nursing staff, Dr Posner and general help are friendly and knowledgeable and took mom in as one of their own family. It gave my family peace of mind knowing she was getting the best possible care in a smaller more family like atmosphere than most nursing facilities. And we especially want to thank Beth Barends for always being there for us when we had questions or concerns about mom. From the initial interview to her many talks in the hallway or phone calls, she provided solutions and a caring shoulder to lean on. Also, Natasha was one of the many nursing staff who treated us like family.

I went to see my dad today n the weekend. Auto entry to scan. Asked a nurse which way to go and she was really sweet and helpful. Dad was in his room, watching TV as he'd just been transferred there that day. Staff is friendly, helpful and considerate. Will know more once his therapy begins.

Super caring staff. It's hard to have a loved one in rehab, but the staff at Pine Point was super to my mother. They were very respectful of her and tended to her cheerfully. My mother made good progress and was in better shape at the end of her stay than we thought she would be!

My father is there currently for 2 to 3 weeks of rehab. The entire staff has been amazing. I was given a clear plan case coordinator as to what needed to happen during his stay so that he can return home. The therapists (PT and OT) have been carefully working with my father to get him to push himself to get stronger. I was concerned that he would not make it back home but am now hopeful he will.

It was my first visit at your facility. A very kind staff member guided me through the process and guide lines for visiting. She also brought me a chair to visit with my friend.

Our father has been there for three years, he’s doing wonderful there. We are very happy to have him there. He does all the activities they have at least twice a day. The Rec ladies are so good with all the residents. He loves the food. And the staff is great!

My 91 year old mom broke her hip and was sent here for rehab. From the day she arrived, every single staff member who worked with her was amazing, kind and patient- they have tough jobs but we’re always positive and professional!the facility is older, but very clean and homey feeling- we thought the bigger, fancier facilities would be better but non compared in reputation to this one when it comes to patient care and therapy. Food was good too!

Dr. Avery gave my mom an exam and do a great job. He made her feel comfortable and was sensitive to her needs etc..

Thank you to all the wonderful and conscientious staff at pine point rehab You truly made my recovery from my total right knee replacement go smoothly. My wife Sandra and l truly enjoyed meeting the staff. The excellent physical therapists taught us so much and with good humor,always..making it easy to recommend Pine Point to others. My father stayed at the short-term rehabilitation facility in July 2017. The staff was always professional, easy to reach, and worked well as a team to get my father stronger after surgery, and eventually get him home. I had to coordinate with them from a distance, and they did their best to accommodate me. While the interior and patient rooms don't have the latest updates or decor, they are clean and sufficient.

Pine Point Center has been my father-in-law's home away from home for two years. The staff has always been caring and attentive --not to mention incredibly communicative during what has been an extremely challenging year managing though COVID. They have gone above and beyond to ensure families are kept up to date on what's happening within the center, to reach out to share how specific loved ones are faring, and that residents are continually engaged in healthy activities to maintain good spirits. Caring for the aging and infirmed community is difficult as it is --but to then add on the additional strain of a pandemic that has been particularly harsh to the older population has undoubtedly been tiresome; but, you would never know it by talking to the staff. Their continued support and genuine care for the residents is evident and so very much appreciated.

My husband has been there for a couple of months for long term care and they have been fabulous. Staff are so friendly and very helpful. Answered all my questions. The place is really clean. My husband likes it and he loves the staff. They are very patience with him he said. So far I’m very satisfied with this facility.

Very welcoming staff, was greeted like a friend when I first arrived and am looking forward to coming back again soon! Gorgeous area right by the Scarborough Marsh Audobon Center with beautiful views in every direction.

Staff is very compassionate and caring on nursing home side as well as skilled rehab. My family and friends were well cared for.

Very easy to find location and the interviewer was excellent and handled everything efficiently and quickly.
