Heidi's Brooklyn Deli

The fact they know my best friend by name and always greet us, recognize if we are missing someone, and often remember things we like speaks volumes. Their food is delicious, breads are seriously phenomenal. We love this place. If you haven't tried it, it's worth the stop. Definitely have some fun but really awesomely paired sandwich items. Hands down the best French onion soup. 10/10!

We were pleasantly surprised as a lover of NY style delis that this place at the Portland mall delivered. Granted it's a faster food version of a deli so they limit your options but on what they deliver they don't cut corners. It's not a giant size like at the old Carnegie, and it's not the experience of a Katz, but for Maine it's damn close and it keeps to the deli standards. Highly recommend when you have a craving and I hope Heidi's flourishes for many more years to come. We'll be back!

My husband, 3 kids and myself went to Heidi's for dinner tonight, for the first time. We were absolutely blown away from start to finish. From the immediate warm welcome we received, to the amazing food and the impeccable customer service. We will definitely be going back and will recommend Heidi's. Customer service is truly an art and the guys who were working tonight were on point.

Hands down the absolute best hot pastrami sandwich in southern Maine. The large option has a 1/2 pound of thin sliced, perfectly seasoned pastrami!!! Great staff, clean dining and restrooms, super variety of sandwiches and homemade soups, stews and chowders. It’s a nice change from the area’s fast food or the food court in the nearby mall.

Phenomenal. Hand made baked bread daily and the best marble Rye bread I've ever had. I highly recommend their coney island Reuben. It's absolutely delicious. The seating is open and the atmosphere is great. I love their menu board as well. Nice touch! Their French dip is also amazing. The poppy seeds on the baguette add a nice touch. The staff is friendly, fast and kind. The restrooms are clean and well stocked. Absolutely worth every cent! 10 out of 10

Pretty rare that I hand out 5 stars but they certainly deserve it. Food was amazing and the employees were great. If you've never had a sandwich from here, you're missing out.

If you are in the south Portland area, Heidi’s is the place to go for sandwiches. The store is spotless and so clean. The guys working have always been so nice and have great customer service every time I’ve gone in. It really stands out among the other sandwich shops in the area! I love the Italian on an Italian hoagie. Delicious and packed with meat and veggies.

If you have not stopped in tomorrow is the day. Heidi‘s Brooklyn Deli is like no other. Fresh wholesome, homemade food with ingredients just like grandma used. Choose from the menu or make up your own. The staff is knowledgeable and flexible. Order to go or sit down and enjoy the warm and inviting atmosphere. Sandwiches are big - easily enough for two meals. Perfect vibe for the family or hanging out with the gang. Heidi’s Brooklyn Deli is not to be missed!

As I walked into Heidi's Brooklyn deli I was immediately greeted by the staff and asked if I could be helped. I told them it was my first time and I wanted to look over the menu. As I was looking over the menu a gentleman told me if I had any questions he would be happy to be of service. I then asked what was his recommendation and he told me the top sellers for cold and hot sandwiches. I decided on getting the Brooklyn Ruben and boy am I glad I did! The sandwich was awesome and it was perfectly toasted and it was warm and my cheese was melted and the meat was awesome quality with barely any fat. I am absolutely happy I found Heidi's deli and I feel as though I was treated really well and I will definitely be back! I would also highly recommend this place to anyone as I will continue to do so as this is a new favorite restaurant of mine! Soup, sandwiches, smoothies, everything is really good! Some of the best sandwiches we’ve ever had, anywhere! We tried the Ruben and the pastrami sandwiches, the bread was super fresh, all the ingredients were spot on and plenty of it. I highly recommend trying Heidi’s Brooklyn Deli for great NY style sandwiches. We will be back again!!! Enjoy!!!

This was our 1st time at Heidi's Deli, my husband ordered a Ruben and I had chicken salad both on marble rye. The bread was so soft and delicious, I also had a cheesecake that was excellent!The service was very fast and, the staff was pleasant and efficient . Definitely comming back here again. THANK YOU! 😋

Heidi's makes my favorite Italian sub (of all time, maybe) - that's what I had this afternoon and it was absolutely fantastic. The staff was polite, happy, and welcoming when I went in to pick up my order... I only wish I had ordered a second one for later.

5 stars from me!! Today was my first time visiting this restaurant on the recommendation of a coworker, and I was not disappointed. The atmosphere is fun and inviting. The smell of fresh bread and the meats and cheeses make you salivate on entry. I tried the Coney Island Rueben and it was the best I've ever had hands down. The place was absolutely packed during the lunch hour which is always a good indication to the popularity of this place. The quality of the ingredients and the hospitality of the employees makes Heidi's a must for anyone looking to experience great food and service.

I ordered online, and when I walked in, the place was SLAMMED. 15+ people waiting for food, 25+ people waiting in line. Everyone working the line was crushing it, and the (presumable) manager being very communicative about the orders being made. They even gave me extra sides for the wait (only 10 more minutes). Shout out to everyone working today! Also the sandwiches are huge and delicious. Definitely will be coming back.
