Dukes Northwoods

Good food and good service. I had the Barnhouse burger - which is a 1/3 lb burger patty topped with pulled pork and a cheese curd patty on a brioche bun. The pretzel bites and beer cheese were also great! Definitely feels like a slice of Wisconsin in downtown St. Charles.

Reams Brats are the best especially at Dukes! Terrific place to visit for a burger, brat or [many Wisconsin] beer. Additional seating located behind restaurant for families or larger parties. Food was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our visit to Duke's Northwoods. This place is a sweet spot that is really well done to resemble a bar/grill found in the Northwoods of WI. Lots of WI decor here that makes it fun to spot all the WI stuff.

The place was pretty packed around 330 in the afternoon and the wait had two people ahead of us. Their app said 15 minutes after we put our name in and that's about what it took to get our table.

We ordered some drinks and the cheese curds for an appetizer. The cheese curds were fantastic. I wish they put more on the tray. It wasn't very full. Their beer menu is great with some local STC beers on tap as well as a good cocktail list. My wife ordered their bloody Mary and it was great.

For meals my wife and I split their Door County Salad and the Morning Glory Burger. both were also very good and we highly recommend them. The burger had bacon and egg ok it and the burger had a coffee rub as well.

Given the great quality that we've had at Flagship, we knew this place would also be great two since they're both under the same ownership.

Great bar / restaurant experience that aims to bring the northern Wisconsin experience from the menu to the decor. The place always seems to have a positive buzz to the atmosphere. People enjoying their company and/or the sports on the TV. Wife and I have eaten at the bar a half dozen times. Excellent beer and whiskey selection, pretty good Old Fashions, and my favorite place to get a smash burger or brat. Bar service is excellent and always attentive. Prices are average for St. Charles. My kind of place.

A really great restaurant with a ton of different options for any kind of eating. The service is excellent, and the atmosphere is very cool. This spot is definitely with checking out if you are in the area. I really enjoyed the shrimp cocktail and the wedge salad

1st time! Gr8 tap selection. Sat at bar, ate chix noodle ' v.good tho a bit more stuff n a bit less broth would be good. Cheese curds - amazing. Cob salad super!

Great sangria, at $12 per a bit on the pricey side. Id love it more at $9..offer caraffe deal so I can make a friend and share at the bar!

Dukes is GREAT!!! Everything about the restaurant is great. I come in here weekly, and I never have a complaint. The food, the service, the atmosphere. All 10/10. Their smash burgers are amazing. Best I’ve ever had. The wait staff and bartenders are always friendly and welcoming. They always have smiles on their faces and are genuinely happy to be there. I love the log cabin/north woods look of the inside. The fireplace in the back is so comforting, especially in the winter months.

Fun spot! Gives me Wisconsin/Minnesota vibes. Great drinks (nonalcoholic options too which was nice). I haven’t tried the food yet but it looks good! I really like the atmosphere. It’s an outdoorsy inside. TV’s for sports. Good music always playing. Highly recommend! One of my fav spots downtown St. Charles.

We had a group of 8 for dinner and everything was great! Our server, Theresa was wonderful - very kind, friendly, and attentive. The food was delicious as always and overall, a very positive experience that will keep us coming back.

They have great food and drinks! Loved the cheese curds, smash burgers, beer and of course Wisconsin Old Fashioneds! Thanks to our server, April, for great service and Scott who answered all our questions. Great staff and atmosphere! Highly recommended!

Only had drinks/appetizers but they were very good. Fiona was our waitress and she really made it a great experience!

If you want a place were you feel like you were in the Northwoods Dukes is the place. First off the food was absolutely amazing and delicious, the service was warm and comforting and the atmosphere was fun and inviting. We have found our new place and cannot wait to go back. We give it 5 stars across the board.

Everything is really nicely done inside, great atmosphere! Food was delicious , get an order of Betsy’s sliders as an appetizer, so good! Can’t wait to go back

They really nailed the Wisconsin backwoods vibe as far as decor. Our surver was Misty, and she was great. Super friendly and kept our drinks filled. There are plenty of good beers on tap as well.

Awesome new restaurant in St. Charles. Great beer and whiskey menus. Food is really good. Smash burger is killer. Cheese Curds are the best I've had. Service is good. Owner was there to greet us and make sure we were satisfied. Will definitely be coming back again and again.

Nice atmosphere, very clean and spacious. If you sit by the window, you can get a nice view of the river. The pretzel bites are AMAZING. I got a ham and swiss sandwich and broccoli, which was very good. The ham was so savory and juicy, and the pretzel bun was great too. The broccoli was fresh and green.

As a Wisconsinite, I was eager to try this location out and see if it lived up to my cheesy standards. The decor, the menu, and the friendly staff reminded me of the best experiences at Northwoods bars in Wisconsin.

The cheese curds were fantastic. Plenty of cheese, lightly breaded so you could taste the cheese.

Fish fry was great. I came on a Tuesday and had walleye, but was told they also have Perch on Fridays.

The beer options were fantastic!

I also ordered a brandy old fashioned sour. It was superb and authentic.

Top notch spot w/ a great atmosphere. I'll be sure to stop in again to check out other menu items and to ensure they are sticking to their authentic Wisconsin Northwoods bar feel!

My son and I checked out their happy hour. We got smash burgers and pretzel bites…-amazing! Burgers can so fast, before the pretzel bites. Service was excellent. I could do without country music , other than that the vibe was good.

Great atmosphere and the food was so good! Son had smash burger and fries and we ordered some apps to share. Pretzel bites with beer cheese, which was the best beer cheese we have ever had. Cheese curds were amazing! Fish bites were so yummy and the onion soup was perfection. Definitely will be back.

This is an awesome gem in St Charles. Great burgers and the whitefish was really good too!
