Oakland Nursery

We got our Christmas tree from Oakland this year and had a great experience. The day we went, they had sleigh rides and were giving out their chili. The selection of trees, greens, ornaments, poinsettias, and other decor and gifts is incredible.

My son and I visited another day to see the reindeer. They do a great job of making a fun little farm-like experience right in the city.

Love coming here to pick out a Christmas tree! They have so many different sized trees and so many different ornaments to look at.

I have shopped Oakland since 1965 and ask why it's my absolute go to Nursery. It's the consistency of products available and the people that work there. A jewel in the neighborhood!

I am eternally in love with Oakland Nurseries! They've been around since I was in elementary school, which happened to be Oakland Park Elementary, which is located right behind the Oakland Park location. They have outstanding selections and quality. I could live there. And at Christmas, we love to get live trees from them. Couldn't ask for better!

I am into plant collecting rather heavy, this is by far my favorite nursery! They have a few rare finds and at a very great price! Not to mention top of the line customer service, they are so welcoming! I highly recommend checking them out if you have not already!

Visited the nursery to pick up a live plant instead of cut flowers as a gift of condolence. I know nothing about plants. The cashier directed me to Carol in the greenhouse. Carol re-potted the plant I picked out into a nice new pot. The plant looks amazing and was less than a cut floral arrangement. Everyone was knowledgable, helpful and kind.
The Ohio School of Falconry was there with owls and a Peregrine Falcon. Who knew there was so much going on at the nursery!

Love this place. Reasonable prices and super great selection of little starter plants. I ended up bringing home 6 little baby plants for under $40 which is a win in my book.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Lots of variety. Prices can range but the deals are amazing. Went to them to start an outdoor container garden. All of the seedlings I got from them I got have flourished. Still need to read and research and be attentive to your individual plants, but the Oakland nursery will have almost, if not, everything you need to be successful.

Best plant nursery in town. Hand down. Helpful staff. Jody in the greenhouse is THE source for the best houseplants and advice in Columbus. Great gift section too!

Santa is there every year! It's an amazing display. Also a carriage ride ND Chilli.

Great variety of plants, saplings, indoor, outdoor accessories. Big collections. They have different water fountains, little expensive. Zen windchains, Summer collections, flowers, artificial creepers, pots, etc are available at this store. There is mud, mulch, organic feeders, organic mixers etc, required planting tools are also available. Parking is little congested during summer as crowd is busy. Friendly staff. There is small lemonade stall inside as it’s summer.

Truly outstanding professional nursery. Vast, healthy selection of absolutely everything from trees and shrubs to garden and indoor plants of every kind. Living plant stock is well cared for and refreshed regularly. Lovely home store too. Incredible weekend holiday events…I just stopped by to find live music, free chili, horse drawn carriage rides and a full friendly staff ready to help. Wow. It’s getting tougher to find real nurseries anymore…what a treat this place is.

The Nursery is going through Fall clean up,staff is diligently preparing trees for the upcoming Winter months. Because of the very dry Heat Storm we encountered some of the plants won't survive. We lost one of our 3 Japanese Maples, we were in hopes of finding another but we,ll wait til next spring. Thank you Oakland park nursery. See you when Trees are budding and flowers are blooming.

Fantastic nursery - huge japanese maple selection, and herb selection too, their greenhouse isn't huge but very well maintained and interesting selection there too. Also big selection of pots etc too.

I don't hate Lowe's. But they didn't have the personnel to help me. A customer referred me to Oakland for hummingbird flowers. I knew what I wanted, and Oakland had it. I picked up another perennial too, for the front porch. Can't wait to draw the hummingbirds to the backyard.

Great nursery - wide selection of landscaping plants, annuals, herbs and vegetables as well as garden supplies. Beautifully laid out, it is a pleasure to just walk up and down the aisles. Also, you can bring your dog to the nursery!!!

this place is heaven for any plant/ garden lover. when i had my apartment and wanted house plants, this location always had what i needed and now that i own a home with a yard, i’ve come to depend on oakland! i could easily spend hours here at a time 🥰💐

Oakland Nursery is fantastic!!!!! While I don't claim to know the entire history of Oakland, what Gus Rinear(sp?) created many years ago is the only real nursery in Columbus. Lots of garden centers, but Oakland is a true Nursery with unbelievable selection and super quality plants. You get what you pay for. Do yourself a favor and take 3 hours to explore the Oakland Park store, it's Amazing!!!!!!!

I think this is the best Garden Nursery in Columbus and the selection of water fountains is impressive.

Get some plants you love, make oxygen @ home, put in a water feature, plant a tree...the kids gifts are pretty cute, too. I fpund
