Anita's New Mexico Style Mexican Food

Part of the joy of traveling is stopping at random restaurants without knowing what to expect. I found Anita's close to the venue we were visiting. I went in not knowing much about New Mexican cuisine, so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw my burrito smothered in green sauce. There were also many vegetarian options which is great. The restaurant was as beautiful as it was clean. However we placed our orders to go, unfortunately.

Every time I go, no matter how busy they are, I get multiple smiles and hellos from the staff. The food is great and the price is on target. Best New Mexican style food in the area. Bathroom is super clean as are the tables and dine-in area. Always a crowd of people ordering food to go, which means people love this place.

Ordered 2 breakfast chorizo burritos. Wnt to use the bathroom, by the time i came out my order wa ready to go for my coworker and I. Good way to start the day at work. Delicious food helps everything!

As a native New Mexican, this place is a taste of home. The style isn’t quite the same in the burritos but the flavor is on point. The green chile pork stew is a must have! The carne adovado burritos were pretty good. It’s not New Mexico but after being all over this country, to find a spot all the way in Virginia, was super exciting.
The sopas were too crunchy, where they should be a softer fry.
The plantains (maduros) were delicious, best we’ve had in a long time, so our Puerto Rican side was happy!
The green chile was satisfying and the frijoles were on point in flavor too. Do yourself a favor and get whole beans with your smothered burrito instead of refried beans, and you can even add those whole beans to the green chile stew.

I had an amazing Breakfast at Anita's! It was a Delicious home cooked Tex/Mex meal! Clean facilities, excellent staff and customer service! I highly recommend Anita's Chantilly VA location!

This place is always on point is very affordable the food is good , the people are very nice and respectful they now have a drive thru witch is new to me due to the last time I ate here it didn't have one so that's a big plus very cozy spot , for friends and familia.

The steak fajita quesadilla was delicious, paired nicely with the margaritas!

First restaurant I remember going to as a kid, and still a steady customer 30 years later. I don’t come here for gourmet, I come here for Anita’s style Tex mex. Can’t beat the breakfast burritos. Top tier house salsa.

My wife and I stumbled onto this place when another restaurant had a long wait to be seated and we're very glad they did! The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was delicious. The indoor section is kind of small and filled up quickly but it looks like there's an outdoor seating area as well with more room.

Don't the the outside scare you.

It doesn't matter which Anita's you visit, the food is awesome. Love their breakfast burritos. I enjoy them so much, I forget they have other foods for lunch and dinner...when I finally realized that I was in for a huge surprise. YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY!

The food here is amazing. I have never been disappointed. Portion size is just right. One of my favorite places and a must before or after travels to and from the airport.

I would have taken a picture but forgot by the time I realized the food was gone lol. Variety of options for breakfast burritos. My work used to pick a bunch of the basic special burritos for the office being less than $3 a peice. They have more filling which cost a little more but taste great and always very happy with it. We had to drive 30 minutes to get here but loved it. Highly suggest breakfast burritos!

We are from Roanoke VA and love coming here every chance we get. We have family here and probably have been going here about a decade on visits to Northern VA. Always a good crowd and very helpful staff. And the food is awesome !!

Anita's is my go to for authentic Mexican food cravings. The service at this location is nothing short of amazing.

The Mr. T breakfast always has been, and continues to be, the single greatest breakfast item on any menu of any restaurant.

I have never eaten in here, but imagine it is nice. I come for the breakfast burritos, and I am not alone and are awesome to bring in for an office or just demolish in your car.. They do so many they added a to go window which is genius. The chorizo is my favorite, but really you can't go wrong. The salsa is just a perfect combo with the piping hot bundles of goodness.
