A unique and pleasant surprise. If you come here expect restaurant wait times as food is made fresh and to order. My favorite tacos were surprisingly the asada and chicken. Those are usually my least favorite because they have usually lacked flavor. These two were delicious. The pastor and fish tacos were both very good as well. Each taco had great balance of flavors. The one negative would be the Watermelon Aguas Frescas. It was really bland. Excited to go back!

La Bamba was absolutely amazing! Great friendly service and delicious food! Homemade chips and salsa, fresh fruit Pineapple, Watermelon, and Horchata aqua frescas. Not to mention the most amazing blend of tacos. Well worth the wait!

In pursuit of always searching for the best food establishments, we stumbled across La Bamba Mexican grill in El Mirage on our way to Wickenburg. This place specifically offers tacos. No rice, no beans, just tacos. Yes they offer corn on the cob and a special puffed tortilla dessert, but tacos is clearly the owner ‘Edson Garcia’s’ calling (pictured with Joe Donti). He sings, dances and tells stories while working hard at the grill making tacos… And they are delicious! Many different flavors of meats to choose from. You may be thinking to yourself “how good can a taco be?”, well, it’s worth the drive to find out. The place seats about 25 and there’s a bit of a wait (Friday night) but well worth it. We’re looking forward to going back. Edson (from Veracruz, MX) is as genuine as they come! He’s an owner operator that loves to serve his patrons. He loves to crack a few jokes while he’s doing his thing! Great vibe and we loved it.

Best Taco place in Arizona!! The owner working his own place with his employees speaks of how much he cares for his bussines. Service is amazing and the food is 10 of 10 with out a doubt. Definitely recommending this place to anyone. You won't be disappointed, I promise you!!

John and I love to come to Spring Training every year. We usually go eat at the same spots but this year we decided to try something different. La Bamba Tacos were amazing. The atmosphere was great and the owner was an inspiration. Edson Garcia used to be homeless but through God’s grace he overcame adversity and through his restaurant he helps those that struggle with their own adversities.

I recommend La Bamba tacos for great food and so much more.

From the elotes, pińa and horchata agua frescas, carnitas, al pastor, bistec, and camarones tacos, to the mini sopapillas, EVERYTHING was, as always, was absolutely AMAZING!!!

I cannot say enough good things about La Bamba Tacos... you REALLY NEED to pay Edson and family a visit, and enjoy the food, service, and atmosphere!!!

MUST VISIT!!! We read many reviews before making the trek from about 30 minutes away. The food and service from the Chef/Owner Edson and his staff were both spot on! You would never expect this place to be so good by just driving by but that’s where the “real gems” are often found. Edson recommended the 16 or 20 taco plate with many choices. We tried the al pastor, carnitas, carne asada, fish, and birrias and all of us thought they were great if not the best ever! We also hoped to snack on chips and salsa while waiting for the food…that didn’t happen as it was brought out right after the tacos but it’s also not your typical chips and salsa (see picture with tri color salsa). I thought it was interesting to see why the owner probably chose the name of the restaurant… He originates from Vera Cruz and his food will bring you together with others just like the native wedding song intended, here’s a little history lesson found online for La Bamba:

"La Bamba" is originally an 18th-century folk song that comes from the Verracruz region on the Mexican Gulf Coast. It also refers to a dance performed mainly at weddings. The bride and groom try to tie a ribbon together with their toes while dancing "La Bamba" as a symbol of their love for each other.

I wish we lived closer, as we would become “regulars”, but we will be back, and would like to thank Edson for following his passion for great food and sharing that outstanding passion with others!

So I've wanted to stop a couple different times recently, days & hours that its supposed to be open and its CLOSED!!! Not to mention the last time I was there, it took forever to get our food. I see this guy on FB, in my own opinion, he has his priorities mixed up & I will not contribute my money to someone like him. #ChochinoBoracho I hope he can turn it all around, because he does have amazing food.

This place kept coming up on my FB News Feed, the food looked amazing, and I saw they were awared for best taco in Arizona. How could I have missed this place for as long as I have??
Everything is BOMBA-LISCOUS!!! Talk about a Mouth-Gasm on my pallette!!! You have to wait for Good, Fresh & Delicious Food, so be patient with them, it is worth the wait!!! Don't forget to try one of the homemade Agua Frescas!!! The Pina was my FAV!!! Edson and his crew are so very friendly as well!!!

Visiting from Vancouver, BC Canada and craving tacos! I read about la bamba online and I have to say this place is amazing. The owner Edson greeted us, was very welcoming and made us feel at home. He suggested a sampler to showcase his food. After trying everything, I have to say that Edson is a true artist. His tacos are nothing short of a flavor masterpiece. He clearly deserves his reputation and accolades posted on his walls. Every single bite I had was packed with flavour and the love of a dedicated chef. I'd definitely recommend trying la bamba, it is a great family restaurant with absolutely amazing tacos. Thank you Edson and la bamba!!!

Tacos are their thing. Their only thing....We had some amazing veggie tacos and a drink. The owner and his family run the restaurant. So there's a lot of love.... you have to try it a least once. Bring you $$$ prices are a little more then we expected. 😬

These tacos are absolute life. You can tell all the ingredients are fresh and homemade, and every single bite is so full of flavor and texture. The entire staff was super friendly, and the chef is very personal and you can tell he takes a lot of pride in his food. Definitely do bamba style on your tacos. Melty cheesy goodness with delicious marinated meats, freshly cut veggies, homemade salsas, all on grilled tortillas. I literally did a happy shoulder shuffle with every bite. Highly recommend!

The best street tacos around. The carne asada street tacos are a favorite! You won’t regret this choice. Owner is a great guy as well. Fun atmosphere. Everything made fresh and authentic. Will be back many more times!
