Alba's Kitchen

As a local there is nothing more exciting than another local opening up a restaurant in town. I was even more excited to find out that this person was the same person who would sometimes sell her famous “con pollo” el salvadorian sandwiches (chicken that has been soaked in a special broth topped with fresh watercress, cucumbers, radishes, and cilantro in a sub sandwich bread). Lucky local behind-the-scenes worker bees in town were the only ones who got a chance to buy them. Fingers crossed that there will be a revival of the indulgent, messy sandwich. The first time I ordered from Alba’s I had a steak quesadilla to-go. The steak tasted fresh, seasoned and was gone before I could take a picture. I’ve heard the Buffalo cauliflower wings are fantastic. I’m happy to see an effort to have a few vegan options—I almost got the avocado toast when I ordered my breakfast today. My hot chocolate was enormous, a good temperature, and didn’t taste like swiss miss mix but still tasted familiar and comforting. I ordered the eggs Benedict which is my favorite breakfast dish. I was very impressed! I will try everything on the menu but I will definitely order the Eggs Benedict again. The sauce was the best I’ve had in a long time. The home fries were perfect! They were soft but not mealy and still a little crunchy. I tasted the hollandaise sauce just by itself and wasn’t surprised to discover that she makes hollandaise sauce of her own recipe. I’m not sure what she added to it, probably more paprika and lemon than usual. The Hollandaise was delicious and I appreciated Alba’s effort to bring a unique and additional flavor to the sauce. Best of all…I got A LOT of sauce! Most of the time I feel like I’m being cheated of my hollandaise sauce but not this time! I definitely got my moneys worth. The staff were very nice and attentive and answered any questions I had. They also made great recommendations like the hot chocolate. I’m making Alba’s my go-to restaurant in town for all occasions. I hope Alba feels supported enough to expand to fusion dishes and explore new recipes since she has all the talent to pull anything off! Congratulations Alba! A+++

The best food in Woodstock. Great selection and good price point. The people working there are super kind and give great service. Can’t wait to go back. The Ruben is the best I have had and I have tried a lot in this area.

I had burgers, fries and a small salad. It was delicious. The burger was melt in your mouth good and the fries was delicious and crispy. Yummy! The owner is amazing and friendly and accommodated our large party of nine. Will definitely go again next time I’m in Woodstock.

We stopped in for lunch after hiking Overlook Mountain. The food was delicious and fresh and reasonably priced. By far the BEST turkey club sandwich I have ever had! We visit the region often to hike and will definitely add Albas to our list of go-to places!

Alba’s restaurant!!! One piece of advice start dinner with dessert!! The Tres Leches cake was one of THE best I have ever had, and I have had many! Very balanced and flavorful. We tried many different items on the menu, from enchiladas to burgers and we were NOT disappointed!!!!
Family business and their hospitality, kindness and professionalism was even more impressive after visiting a couple other restaurants in the area.

Totally loved the vibes up in here. I’m a city girl so it takes a lot to satisfy me. But hands down the best enchiladas I’ve ever had. You should really try it out cause the spot is great for anything like dates and or family outings.

The food was delicious. I had a burger with fries which were amazingly crispy on the outside - so delicious. The owner Alba was very accomodating. I will most certainly visit this place again when next in Woodstock.

Friendly, prompt service. Delicious black bean soup, served with warm and toasty slice of bread. We had chicken and the veggie tacos, very good. Perfect portion, to full for dessert. Very reasonable.

We are so glad that Alba has been able to make this dream come true. We stopped in for breakfast and we will be looking forward to stopping by again to try out lunch.

Excellent addition to Woodstock. Some of the best food I’ve had in the area, and definitely the best Mexican food (we loved the enchiladas and nachos). Kind owner. A genuine business worth supporting.

The food & service was excellent. We had a group of 11 and everyone enjoyed their lunch from hearty salads, salmon, eggplant parm, quesadilla, soup, burgers, turkey club, etc. It was great meeting Alba. One of our group had to eat & run to catch a flight and Alba happily accommodated her. The restaurant is very clean and cozy. While the building exterior is a bit different, you will love this culinary treasure!

I only learned about Alba’s Kitchen a couple of weeks ago and since then I’ve ordered pupusas four times! They’re amazing. I’ve gotten every type, they are all delicious but my personal favorite is the bean and cheese!

We ordered a palisades, chicken enchilada, and shrimp tacos. Tasty, fresh and filling. Excellent spicing. We hope to frequently return to Albas, and we wish the new owners success. Thiss is the place next to Tinker St Cinema. Next time we hope o try the pizza baked in the wood fired oven.

Very good vegan pizza! Red dawn with added mushrooms. Pupusas too, just delicious. Recently, Went back to eat another red dawn pizza and was so sorry to be served a soggy crust with way too much minced garlic—poorly distributed. Mushrooms I added were poorly seasoned. Quality really dropped!

Very good atmosphere. Great food at a decent price. Would recommend it for anyone visiting Woodstock. Order the Dulce De Leche if you stop by.

This is a family run establishment. The blossoming of a long-held dream which I suspect goes back for generations. Really something to celebrate. There is love - LOVE! - in this food. I felt it and I tasted it. Eat here and experience hope & true generosity again. You’ll feel like all is not lost in this world.
(Liquor board, cough up their liquor license! What’s the hold up!? [In the meantime you can BYO.]) This place is something special.
And speaking of specials, I had the chorizo tacos. They were bonkers. They came with rice & beans, guacamole, sour cream, pico de Gallo and some dang perfectly cooked tortillas. It came to my table on charming square and rectangle plates, and in fat little cups like a periodic table of goodness. They could charge an arm and a leg for these, but they don’t. And the SALAD. With the fruits and springy cheeses! How it was so fresh and nourishment in the middle of February SOMEHOW = magic. Look at that gorgeous pizza oven. I left there feeling HEALED not robbed. I tell you. Get yourself over there.

My family was starving and needed quality food. We decided to go to Alba's and we were not disappointed! We ordered 4 pies, two plain, one buffalo chicken, and one pepperoni. The buffalo chicken was outstanding and the pepperoni was very good as well. Pizza comes from a woodfired pizza oven and the quality shows. We will be coming back soon.

We had the Shrooms pizza and The San Gennaro Feast pizza - both were delicious. The mushrooms were very flavorful on Shrooms. We had Flan for desert, which was absolutely wonderful. Will return to try their other dinner items. Highly recommended.

Woodstock has been missing something that Alba has delivered. Quality breakfast lunch and dinner all day. The huevos rancheros was incredible as was the eggs Benedict. If you leave without trying to cornbeef hash, you’ve made a grave mistake!

I just had breakfast here with my husband and the food was excellent. The best BLT I’ve had in a long while and my husband’s huevos rancheros were very fresh and tasty. And the best part - the coffee was good and hot!
