Toro Meat Market

I love this market! The big grocery retailers don't carry freshly cut meat or bones anymore; not like Toro. The price is so reasonable and the quality has been great. The staff are super friendly. I used to work at this location as a teenager when it was an Italian grocery (Carfagna's).

I used to visit Carfagna’s when it was housed here and when I saw what was going on to take there place, I stopped in. That was early on in the development of their vision for the market. I stopped back in today and it has been transformed into a quality market with lots of items from Mexico, South America, the U.S. and Central America. They have beautiful cuts of meat including chicken, beef, pork and a load of seafood. They have a wide range of produce that might be hard to find in a traditional market including an unbelievable variety of peppers. How about their baked goods? Yum! To entertain you while you are there they play high energy Latin music and greet you with many smiles. Need beer or wine? They’ve got that too! Need a piñata? No problem! Bulk candy or nuts? Yep! How about dried peppers or spices? You won’t believe the variety! Give them a visit. They will not disappoint!

Friendly people. Friendly staff. It's kind of like carfinians that left prices on certain things might be $0.20 higher to $0.30 higher compared to Walmart. Small selection of produce but it is fresh and it's a better selection and grade than Walmart. It's about a dollar higher if you want certain fruit canned goods but the best thing is they will check you out. There is no self checkout line and they will bag your groceries so it makes the price difference to me worth it

I have driven by Toro many times and decided to stop in to grab some things for dinner and I'm so happy I stopped in. They didn't miss a thing when they built out Toro, truly has that market feel. They have plethora of meat, seafood, cheeses, and salads; I honestly think they have 80'+ of display coolers along 2 walls, really impressive.

I walked around forever just impressed of what they carried. Bought a few things for dinner and everything was fresh and delicious!

Boasting a robust selection in comparison to it's size, the Toro Meat Market combines the open-feel of a farmer's market with the freshness of a butcher shop and exotic foods of a Mexican market. Clean, well-stocked, brightly lit and well organized, this store is set to fill the niche of butcher and specialty grocer for the 161-71 corridor.

The good: excellent selection, friendly stafe, clean and spacious.

The bad: the size of the parking lot may create parking issues during peak hours (but this has always been an issue in the area).

Outstanding store. Got some pre-marinated skirt steak to make carne asada and also tried their marinated short ribs. They were both wonderful. The gentleman at the meat counter was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I’ll definitely be back.

I am very excited to have Toro Meat Market in our neighborhood. The place looks amazing, well organized and emphasizes their fresh offerings. They were very friendly and welcoming when I stopped by. I look forward to visiting often.

We stopped by because the steak at the local Kroger wasn't very good. I'm glad I did. We got a few steaks and some carne al pastor. Everything was top notch and at a reasonable cost, too. We'll be coming back soon.

The owner and staff are so friendly! They help you with what ever u need. The prices are amazing and the store is clean and nicely organized. They have a really big spice section that i love. The deli is good too! They have delicious cheese cake! The meat is good quality and fresh! Just grilled some skirt steak for taco’s from here and we bought it already seasoned and their seasoning is amazing the meat is tender!

I've been shopping here since they opened. They keep reworking the store to offer more and more. I used to get about half my groceries there. Now, It's closer to 75%.

Great prices and fantastic quality.

The best thing though, the people. I always leave with a smile on my face!

I love the meat counter. The people are friendly and make sure you're ok or ask if you need any help.

The store is so nice and not to mention the staff .. first time in the store and we are happily going to return. Sam made our experience there so nice he was super helpful and friendly. Omar was great at taking care of us at the butcher counter. They both made us feel very welcomed and we loved talking with them. The cuts of meat that they have are amazing. There hot food is so delicious. We had the carnitas and we loved the flavor they had. Definitely will be going back.

I absolutely do not shop at Walmart, Kroger or none of them places for meat! ONLY Toro! The quality AND PRICES beat any high chain grocery store any day! With the inflation of prices I hope Toro quality and prices remain the same!.. 🤞🏾 Signed.. a loyal shopper

I love this little market. They really have added to their selection. If you live closeby and are in need of a staple head here. Store extremely organized and clean. Fresh fruit and vegetables, inexpensive array of spices, wide selection of meats and seafood. Fresh baked items as well. My 17 year old son recommends the authentic mexican cuisine served up hot and fresh at the food truck outside.

I love this place! So many options to choose from. Used to be a butcher shop back in the day. Meat 🥓 prices are a lot better than Kroger lol . Friendly people, home made empanadas and baked goods fresh produce yummy yummy 🤤😋 I recommend going there happy shopping trip. Yay 😁😎

Toro meat market is a surprising gem. They have a nice selection in a clean store with extremely friendly and helpful staff. The marinated short ribs grilled up excellently and the pastor meat was just what I was looking for. I am certain the other meats I purchased are going to be very good as well. I highly recommend you stop by and keep these guys in business. I will be a semi-regular at once or twice a month.

This meat market is becoming part of the neighborhood. Their meat selection is authentic and really great prices. On the weekends they have fresh Carnitas, baked whole Talapia, rotisserie chicken. We got to shop local and their baked goods are out of this world!

These folks sure know how to make a guy feel at home, even though it was obvious I was a fish out of water. I saw advertised they had fresh made chicharron carnudo. Which is a fresh pork skin with the meat still attached and fried. I had to try some with their fresh habanero salsa. There is not enough words to describe the crunch, tenderness, and unctuousness. It's a 10/10. Must try
