Aegis Moving And Storage

GREAT JOB AEGIS! We had contracted with a company that claimed to be a mover but in reality they were just a broker. They had sworn up and down that we would be moved in one of their vans by their company employees and that our stuff would stay on that van till delivered by the same employees 3 days to a week later. Frank arrived at our house in a generic rented truck and told us that he was not their employee. He told us that his company works regularly for this broker but that he is an independent mover. I was tempted to refuse to let him load but they already had most of my money. Frank seemed like an honest person and we didn't have time to find another mover. He loaded up and told us our delivery would be shuttled into a semi and would be delivered in about 2 weeks by yet a third vehicle. He got into his truck and I expected that he would give me some sort of paperwork, but nothing. He just left. All I had was the bill of lading from the broker. Frank had stated that he would be paid from the broker so he left without any payment from me. He called a few min later and said that he could not get ahold of the broker and that I either had to pay him or he would put my stuff in storage. In the meantime the broker refunded my original deposit and Frank said they did that so I could pay home directly. I was nervous about the situation but made the payment. Our stuff was in limbo. I just had to trust Frank at this point. I tried several times to contact him for updates without any response. Evidently he was on a cross-country road trip and out of communications most of the time. I did get through once and he assured me the delivery would be as promised. As it turned out he came through. Our stuff was delivered at the end of the two weeks. Everything was there and in good shape. I couple of boxes had crumpled or split seams but I assign that to my packing. Frank ended up bailing me out from the dishonest broker and doing a great job. Kudos to Frank and his company, Aegis Moving and Storage. I would recommend anyone to contract with him directly. Thanks for a great move Frank!

Aegis was the final company to deliver our stuff from a move from Texas to Virginia. Moving is honestly a pain in the butt, and this move was the most stressful move of my entire life.

We had some bumps along the road (that had nothing to do with Aegis, it was the brokers, and the other company), but Frank, the main contact (and I think owner) and Chris (the driver and mover) were honestly the best. I would have lost my mind if it weren't for them.

I contracted Frank and Aegis to move my household and vehicle from Nebraska to Oregon. I wish there were 10 plus stars that I could click to rate the service provided by Frank and his team of professional movers. I was fully prepared mentally for at least one thing - and more likely many things - to go seriously wrong. However, this move went flawlessly. I mean, flawlessly. They had an issue with a device to move my vehicle, but the awesome thing is that was totally their problem. They did not charge me one cent extra, and they did not even talk to me or get me stressed out over it. True professionalism. And if communication and availability matters to you, please go with Frank. That man never sleeps and will answer your calls or texts 24/7. If you want to pay a lot of money up front for highly questionable service and non-existent communication, please go with another mover or better yet a broker. This was an absolutely fantastic experience, their speed was lightning fast yet everything was done safely and with care. I do not have words enough to express my gratitude for Frank and his movers. Awesome experience in every regard. And believe me it was quite reasonable and competitive in terms of monetary cost. Frank was extremely communicative and punctual! We were moving from Baltimore to Chicago and arrived exactly when he said he was going to. He also delivered next day. Couldn’t recommend enough!

I hired Aegis to move my stuff from York Pa to Ft Myers Fl. I canceled my iPod delivery. I am so glad I did. I would have been in shock and crying like a baby trying to load those heavy items on my own. First the team had all the right tools to perform the tasks necessary to properly load a truck for the long haul. And they were great. Great manners and attitude and attention to detail. I was impressed likeable hard working young men is what I got Rare in this world today.

I am beyond disappointed by the experience I had with this company. The day we were supposed to move out of our home we were told a window at which they would arrive. The window was between 11-2 and they showed up by 5. I get it things happen but that was just the first red flag. We were told this was a full service moving company but the movers didn’t show up with tools to break down our trampoline, bed frames, etc when we explicitly told them what items we had ahead of time. We had to go purchase tools for the movers to use in order for them to do their job. While our stuff was being moved we received zero communication on the ETA. We texted Frank and the movers and we were straight up ignored. The most disappointing part of this experience is when our stuff arrived our mattresses were filthy. Frank told us mattress covers would be provided and they clearly were not. On top of the filthy mattresses our bed frame also had some damage. They also lost the bed screws to the bed frame and lost the screws to put together our kitchen table Also our son’s crib was damaged now leaving him without a place to sleep. ALSO the movers did not set our trampoline back up or any of our bed frames. This is not a full service company like they advertise. They straight up lie and ruin your belongings. All of this and the movers that were moving our stuff into our new home had the audacity to complain about moving items upstairs because they were too heavy. Again we explicitly told them we were moving into a second story home. Save yourself the trouble and go with a different company because this was an absolute disaster of an experience.
