My husband & I tried the steak & cheese for the first time tonight (2/28) & it was THE BEST! The meat was very flavored & seasoned! When my husband went in to get the order he said everyone was very nice. Highly recommend this place! We will be back again soon & will be trying that Baklava for sure!

Great experience, good food and unrivaled service.

Off the bat I was slightly disappointed at the amount of meat on a couple of pieces of fried chicken (just bad luck from the batch). Once I took a bite all I wanted was to take another.

The Philly cheesesteak was very tasty as were the fries.

Yes I ordered two meals because I couldn't pick and yes I finished both.

WHAT A GREAT SPOT when last weekend with a couple friends the food was amazing and great prices but the service was outstanding the owner was making jokes and made the experience wonderful
Came back last night i apologize for coming in 10 minutes before close but when the drunken cheesesteak craving hit I had to come here can’t beat the food price and service FIRE

Walked in was greeted kindly , easy to order. Was surprised how tasty and fresh the steak&chesse was. This is coming from a born and raised NYC man.

Wow! Best steak and cheese I've had in a long time! Fries and onion rings were delicious. Customer service was top notch. I highly recommend visiting.

I finally decided to try this place after hearing mixed reviews. I walked in let the staff know that it was my first time. Two of the gentleman working the front then immediately started offering me suggestions and answering any questions I had. One of them then let me know that his family was the one who owns and and letting know who George was. After helping me make a selection and giving me the price difference between the 8-12 inch sub. I went with the 12 and I was absolutely impressed with the amount of meat you got for the price and I left full.

Food is always fresh and delicious.

Only been here once but the Sandwhich was great. Staff behind the counter was very helpful and answered questions. Did have to wait a bit to find a place to sit as the dining area was packed during lunch and cheese steak took a bit longer to come out due to volume I assume. However it was good and recommend giving it a try.

i have scoured the greater Fairfax County area over the past 4 months in search of the best Cheesesteak Sub. I can confidently say, I have found it at Georges Steak n Things. I rate my Cheesesteak Subs in 4 areas:

Presentation: See picture below. this place is your classic, no frills shop. also its a cheesesteak, so no reason to fancy it up too much. it looks like a cheesesteak. nice crispy toasted bread with ample fillings. 5/5

Next is Taste: for this order i had the Cajun Chicken version. Cajun added a touch that just set this sub apart from your traditional cheesesteak without going overboard. additional ingredients were good. would have preferred a better tomato, but that's just nit picking. 4.5/5

Price: you can get a chicken sub combo for 9.99 (6'') perfect for a lunch time meal. I had the 12" which ran about 16.50 with fries and a drink + tip.
times are touch and food is expensive, but for the most part i think its a fair deal 4.5/5.

last and MOST IMPORTANT (along with taste of course)
Handling: my biggest pet peeve is trying to pick up an over stuffed, sloppy, wet cheesesteak sub. But let me tell you, Georges has perfected this area. the filling was juicy, and full flavored while the bread held its integrity through the entire meal. I mean, it was downright impressive how well the sandwich held together, from first bite to last, it had a crunchy bite all the way through. easy 5/5.

overall 4.8 on my personal rating and my go to for steak and cheese for the foreseeable future.

Honorable Mention: the Fries. SUPER crispy battered, fries that pair perfectly with the sub. wish i had more but for the price i think i was given a good amount. (i had already devoured 50% of them before taking the photo).

Got 2 specials, mid lunch. Got through to register quickly and food was hot. Really good, would come back.

Really like going here for quick cheap food. Its not bad but most of the stuff we order there is deep fried. We love ordering the Supreme basket. Fried fish, fried shrimp, fried chicken and some fries for 14 bulks. I hate deep frying at home since its so messy and were been deep cleaning the house aka moms hoard. It hits the spot ona budget.

Best food in Fairfax Station and even better service. They treat all customers like family! 5 stars ⭐

Our first time here and had a good experience. The gentlemen at the counter was nice and friendly. We got our food in a timely manner. They have a special for either a chicken or steak and cheese with fries for $9.99. Both were tasty. Would come back again.

Absolutely amazingly delicious steak & cheeses! Ethan provided exceptional customer service! Quick, freshly made subs exactly as ordered w perfectly crisp fries. The baklava is 100% as well! After a long harrowing day, my mom & I were welcomed, super clean restaurant & restrooms, super nice employees, excellent food, couldn't have asked for anything better! Thank you Ethan for turning our day around for the best!

All their hot subs are good, but those Chicken & Cheese are something else.

My family and I first discovered this spot when I was around 12 years old. I am now 29, and I have yet to find a better spot for a Philly cheesesteak in the NOVA area (honestly the entire DMV) that matches George’s. I usually go for the Cajun Philly cheesesteak and the subtleness of spices really make this place different from the rest. Recently took my girlfriend there and she had two fries and made me go back and order a large(they are deep fry 😋). Highly recommend! If you want entrees, they have that too!

Never have i had such a well made cheesesteak, stopped here on a whim (in a very small plaza, easy to miss) looking for mcdonalds and decided, why not try some local cuisine. I was BLOWN away, everything was perfectly cooked, the meat, toasted bread, ect. Id have taken a picture but i ate it so fast i had no time! Highly recommended
