Dr. Birkenhauer is wonderful. My mom is a little over 60 years old and has had so many disappointing relationships with doctors where she felt never heard and mistreated so many times she stopped going to doctors. Over the years my mom neglected her health for fear of not getting quality treatment. Dr. Birkenhauer broke down the fear my mom carried for so many years and gained her trust in the very first appointment. My mom is so happy and relieved to have a Dr she trusts and feels respected by. I am beyond grateful for Dr. Birkenhauer. Now my mom isn't afraid to go to the Dr. And trusts the treatment she's getting is TOP QUALITY. I highly recommend this Dr. She's not just a great Dr. She's a caring kind person. And that makes all the difference! Thank you for treating my mom so well in her health journey.

I have a new Doctor, so went to make sure I knew where he office was located for my appointment next week.
The office is located off Hwy 59, and 25th Street; a very busy area. If you are leaving Foley as I will be doing, I would suggest two additional items.
After crossing the Bridge on Hwy 59; Instead of proceeding to 15th St, I would recommend turning left on 20th St, to First St, turn right for a couple blocks, and the office would be on your right at 15th st.
Secondly, if you are driving from Foley, give yourself ample time for the trip, because the Gulf of Mexico Beach traffic on Hwy 59, and the Walmart area is very congested. More to follow once my appointment has been completed.

I met Dr. B about 20 years ago when she was at another Dr. Office. She was the FIRST Dr. to take my concerns of migraine headaches serious. She walked in and begin to ask me about them. She was and is amazing! When she started her practice I became one of her first patients. I will be with her until either she retires or I die. We travel full time in an RV but ALWAYS come home for checks ups and all our medical needs. We love Dr. B. She will be a great lifetime Dr if you need one.

I just had my first visit with Dr. Birkenhauer. I am so incredibly impressed! She is so thorough and so caring. She was running pretty behind, but I totally understand why. She doesn't usher you in and out like cattle. If you are patient and want a doctor that really cares about the well-being of her patients, this is the doctor for you!!! And the staff is exceptional. Every single person I dealt with was polite and helpful. Thanks to everyone for such a wonderful experience.

Just became a new patient at Dr. Birkenhauer Family Practice. She is wonderful! The staff that I have met are just as kind and wonderful! I feel my health care is in great hands! Highly recommend.

I became a patient of Dr. Birkenhauer in December of 2021. She is professional, caring and helpful. She takes her time with her patients and offers several different options for treatment and listens to concerns. I have never had difficulty scheduling an appointment and her staff is great.

Dr. Birkenhauer and all her Nurse practitioners are all wonderful and through. I have been having many health issues lately and medications have been changed. With in a few days after following some basic instructions my blood work went from very bad to almost all the way normal.

Dr. Birkenhauer is a class act and true professional. Last year I had irregular health issues for my age and her and her staff made me feel comfortable, were very informative and found quick results for my problem. Dr. Birkenhauer personally sat down with me, went over the results and also cared enough to make me understand that I need to make some changes. I was just not another number, I was a person she cared about, that is hard to find these days especially a doctor who does Primary Care. If Dr.B can’t fix you she will find someone who can until the problem is solved. Her staff is always friendly and even when I run into them outside of work they are always friendly and polite. Great job to her and her staff, it is a pleasure being your patient!

Love the personal touch we always get when seeing Dr. Birkenhauer. She always takes a practical look at non-prescription solutions before recommending prescription drugs. Through the approximately 5 years my wife and I have been going to her, we have seen excellent improvement in our health statistics even though we are now in our 70's. I highly recommend her, best we have since being in the LA area.

The staff here were all nice, I love my new physician. Dr.Birkenhauer! She is sooo awesome! And she actually cares! She doesn’t herd you like cattle’s she actually spends time with you and get to know you. I’ve never met any physician who really cared as much as she did! Again I love her! And I hate that I’m just now find Dr.Birkenhauer!!!

Dr Birkenhauer SAVE MY HUSBANDS LIFE!!! Because she is so through she ran a blood panel on him and found early Prostate Cancer. He is my world - THANK YOU DOCTOR BIRENHAUER!!!!!!

I LITERALLY cried after our initial consultation as she listened to me and cares. Moreover, she utilizes her knowledge to the advantage of her patients. I AM SO HAPPY TO HAVE CHANGED GP's.

Dr. Birkenhauer and her nurse take care of my family, including some very complicated cases. They are incredibly loving, kind, and super detailed taking care of us. They are as efficient as they can be with their work load and people getting sick as often as we do these days, I am so grateful they are here in Gulf Shores / Orange Beach. !!

I have personally seen the doctor and practitioners and staff work hard and diligently for my health. I’ve never felt like a burden nor have I ever seen anyone there be rude! Every time I have an appointment and go in I am treated with the upmost respect and courtesy! I would highly recommend this office to everyone looking for a doctor!
