Loved the pier. If you just wanna come walk I would recommend you to buy the 2 hour ticket for parking. But if you plan on fishing and coming back buy the all day ticket because you’re including the fishing and parking lot for the whole day for $10

We love the strawberry banana lemonade you can get for $3.00 at the restaurant on the pier! The pizza is definitely worth a try too! You can get some really great pictures from the view at the restaurant as well. If we've had enough sun, we set up spot under the pier, by the water, for maximum shade coverage all day without needing an umbrella. The bathrooms here are always clean as well so that's an added bonus!!

What a well-kept facility! The parking cost is very reasonable, dare I say cheap. $3 for two hours is the minimum. The pier costs $4 per person to walk it, fishing from of it is more. The bathrooms are clean and well functioning. There is a bar you can sit and drink at without paying to walk the pier. The sites from the pier are great. You can see Gulf Shores public beach and buildings to the West. You can access the public beaches here, too. No pier access needed to go to the beach. You just have to pay to park.

This pier is a great option to see the gulf. Although it was quite busy, we were able to walk out with no wait time and hang out for 20-30 minutes.

It does cost some money to park, but you are able to get in for free if you’re staying at the state park campground.

An easier place to get to the shore than the public beach access in town. Cheaper parking, too. The pier was damaged so you could only visit half, but it was still lovely and worth the two dollars. My kid enjoyed watching the fishing and there was seating at the bar area for us to watch a storm roll in. (We came early in the morning, so the bar wasn't open.)

This pier is a must visit my spouse loved it he went yesterday with my son while I was out of commission with a stomach ache, and today I felt better and went with him so he can fish again. You can catch a decent amount of fish here, even for a beginner. You do need to pay to stay for people, not and fishing here. Pay for parking also either at meter or when you pay to be on pier. There is a beach right next to it, too.

Totally worth $2 for a leisurely stroll! I saw people catching different types of fish, saw a shark swimming around near the surface, saw a shark attack a guy’s catch as he was reeling it up, AND saw a spinner shark put on quite a show, breaching the water several times!! Beautiful views, but I do hope they’ll fix to where you can go further out again.

A great beach location to spend the day. Plenty of parking . The pier is a nice walk and a wonderful view even if your not into fishing . If possible check out the sunset from this location. It is beautiful!

Awesome pier, well worth the parking fee and fee to walk to the end of the pier.

I absolutely love the piers in the south. The views are beautiful and this pier is "fancier" than Pensacola's pier. There are amenities on the pier; bathrooms both up near the front and also down the pier itself. I would say it's a fisherman's dream as well because of all the fish-cleaning resources. The sights aren't as good as Pensacola, but it's still a good visit.

Can’t wait to go back when the pier is rebuilt completely so we can walk the rest of the way —- I forgot that hurricane sally took half of it out until we got to the end and could see the damage from 2020! It’s still a nice long walk and a beautiful view with friendly fisherman! Everything else was closed at the time we walked it tho so I cannot comment on the food served.

My wife and I head to gulf shores twice a year and the State Park Pier is a spot we make sure to go to. I go there to fish, and she usually hangs out and works on her tan.
The pier is open 24 hours and the have a restaurant that serves alcohol and has a karaoke stage. It has a family atmosphere and kids are welcome. They also have a full service tackle shop that carries live bait and has anything one would need to fish.
It is paud parking and I believe it was $3 for two hours but do yourself a favor and get the nine dollar deal and then your pier admission is free.

Best fishing in all of gulf shores. If your not into fishing the wildlife is more than worth the trip. There are sharks everywhere, they are fun to look at but they like to steal your fish.
