Iconic spot on the Parkway that is one of the few original tourist spots still left over the decades. I could watch the taffy man make taffy all day long. I'm not a taffy fan, but when he hands you a freshly wrapped, warm piece of taffy right off the machine it's magical. Friendly service, too.

Amazing candy. A guy was making taffy and he gave my daughter a piece. We ended up buying some and other candy as well. The lady at the register (I think she was African) gave my daughter another free piece of taffy. I told her how sweet that was. She said, "Well, we want you guys to come back and visit. We love you". She had such kind mannerisms and made our time there feel warm.

Such an unexpected moment as we walked by! I felt like a little kid watching this sweet gentleman do something that he has done so many times before. I felt such nostalgia watching this being made. And to make it even better, he let us have a fresh piece! I savored that thing the whole way home. So glad my 5 year old got to experience it as well.

A must go on every trip to Gatlinburg! The original candy place in my family. Been going there for years. Of course the taffy is a staple and watching them make it is still just as entertaining as an adult as it was when I was a kid. Now my kids love it. Try the vanilla filled pecan log. Best thing there!

Awesome candy store in a perfect location. We found the store because we had to wait in line outside the windows while waiting for a table next door. All the while we were looking at the candies, and watching the candy maker portioning out Pecan Praline candies. After breakfast we came in and shopped for our candies. Great store.

We watched as the candy man made a banana chocolate swirl taffy. Granddaughter watched patiently and when he was done he gave everyone a piece to sample. She was cute taking this from him and it seemed to make his day as well. Thank you “candy man”!!

WARNING: You will be mesmerized by the candy making going on in the window... and it will make you want to buy the candy. Go Ahead, DO IT! You're probably on vacation... you know that calories don't even count on vacation. Buy that candy, it's so good. I got some taffy. And then some more taffy, it's good. Real Good. They have other stuff, it's probably good too. Too good.

Beautiful candy store and reasonably priced!! The pecan chocolates and moonshine taffy were my favorite. They have a wide variety of sweets and chocolates including candy apples. 🍬🍫🍭

Love this place. Seriously been coming here since I was a little girl. I love their dark chocolate covered cherries with the stem. Now my oldest loves it. I always bring him he gets the little house box. That's what I would always get when I was a child. This year will be my youngest first time. Best cany shop. Also, I love watching the taffy Mechanic.

It is amazing to see how the candies are made in front of you! We were so attracted and forgot about our lunch break 😜. We were standing there for a while😝. And finally, We purchased a candy case. The taste is okay and the texture is little chewy and hard so would not recommend for all. There are other choices in the shop. But, it is awesome to watch them make the candy!!

Worth stopping here every time.. the kids love watching them make taffy. The kids love to get the Orange jellies, taffy and I get the white chocolate covered carmels with pecan pralines, they are the best

The taffy is delicious. Had to pick up
purple and pink swag afterward with my NIKE gear "gift shop". 👍 It was interesting watching the workers make taffy.👍

When you first walk by the door, you are instantly hit with a delicious smell that draws you in. Once you’re inside, there are so many wonderful options to choose from. One of my favorite parts was being able to see the candy being made right in front of us.

Stopped in the store to get taffy. The inside of the store was filled with so many candies besides taffy. It was also very cold inside which was great that day since it was so warm outside. The prices were reasonable and the packaging nice. I only wish you could order online. Once I got home and gave the taffy to my husband, he said it's done of the best taffy he's ever had and wished I had bought more.

Great place downtown to find salt water taffy. And also moonshine taffy. Lots of flavor's and you get lots for the price. You can watch them make it still using a 100yr old machine that works like new. Best place for your taffy kick.

This place is a must stop by if you like candy. Watched them make taffy by the window. The workers are incredibly friendly. The moonshine taffy is phenomenal! We loved this place, it was a lot of fun!

The dark chocolate covered coconut patties were some of the best that I've ever tasted as well as the chocolate covered raisins! I highly recommend!

The best candy I've had! The chocolate raisins are to die for! The peanuts are great also. Growing up my grandma brought their smoky mountain taffy home every year after visiting. She passed in 2014, so I got the joy of giving that nostalgia to my family by buying everyone a box while visiting.
