Excellent food! Great atmosphere! Friendly staff!

The food was great and the staff couldn't be any nicer. They accommodated us as a party of five during a busy time and made us feel like the only ones in the room. I highly recommend them and can't wait to go back!

One of my favorite restaurants around! The staff are so friendly and the food is always so delicious. Not to mention they make some of the best drinks! 10/10 would recommend!

The river works is one of my favorite restaurants in the seacoast area. I usually visit on a weekly basis. I come back again and again for the great food and the terrific staff. Everyone is super friendly and the drinks and food are always great. River works is consistently a great experience all around.

I finally had the chance to go to The Riverworks since the new owners and I'm so glad I did! I was greeted with a smile and sat with a friend at a great little table for two. We both had a strong and tasty drink and a beer with the absolutely delicious beer-battered chicken tenders and a charcuterie board. It's a really cozy, intimate place to hang out and I would go back in a heartbeat!

I love this place. It's easy to get to, and there's always free parking out front. It's small, and very rustic inside. The food never disappoints, and the 'wow' factor is there for every plate that is put in front of you. The bathrooms are downstairs, so, if stairs are an issue, that is something to be aware of. There are draft and canned beers available, as well as 'creative' mixed drinks. The staff are very friendly, why our server even took a group picture of us! If you go, bon a petit!

We usually eat upstairs but last time we went we ended up downstairs in the tavern where we’ve never been. We both enjoyed our food and played a card game while we listened to live music. It was an unexpected treat.

Amazing food, staff and owners were just so welcoming. Made us feel like we were home eating with Family.. Recommend 100/100

Love this place and have been going there for years and years and years. Good food, good beer selection and a kind vibe. I always make sure to stop in whenever I am in town.

Just wanted to say how amazing the staff were. My parents, my fiance and I came in near closing time, exhausted from my brother’s wake, and the staff was so patient and so so kind. We were visibly shaken but they asked no questions, and were so patient with us. Even bought us a round on them for my brother (Patron, his favorite). Good people do still exist ❤

This place is a 10 out of 10 on the Dankness Scale! What I loved best was how detailed and energetic the waiter was! There’s only one cook so everything is really consistent which is super Dank! When ever my parents stop by Durham again instead of going to Dover or Portsmouth, we are coming here!

Love Riverworks! So lucky to have them in Newmarket! I’ve never had a bad meal and the staff is amazing! Mix of casual/high end food and exceptionally crafted cocktails/mocktails.

On our way home, we found this restaurant. The food and service was very good. We had an appetizer with squash, sweet potatoes, apples, and a sweet sauce. It was so good. We had the special pasta dish, which was ricotta, kale, and spinach stuffed homemade ravioli with a cashew pesto sauce topped with a corn relish. That was very good also. If we're out that way again, we will definitely go back.

Stopped in for the first time and very much enjoyed it! Had the chicken wings app (wow absolutely delicious - crispy skin and super juicy) and a couple of drinks and had dinner to go. Great service and overall experience, will definitely be back!

I used to live in Newmarket for 2 years and recently was in town for work; so of course I had to stop in for a bite to eat at my favorite bar/restaurant River works! I had the cheese burger and fries, it was cooked perfectly! The waitstaff is always friendly and prompt to take your order. I just love this place, feels like home!

Always a great time at the Riverworks, especially on Wednesdays during their trivia nights! Food is delicious, no matter what you order, and the staff is awesome!

Had not been in since the remodel upstairs. Enjoyed the new upstairs bar seating area, cozy quaint and friendly.

We visited the Riverworks early Saturday afternoon while doing laundry next door. We chose mussels and oysters to pick on along with a few brews. I would recommend this restaurant for a quick bite or a place to sit around for few hours and socialize as the music is always good.

One of the best restaurants in the seacoast and the service is always top notch! Highly recommend!
