La Catrina

I haven't even eaten here yet, but from the photos it's got my Arizona Seal of Approval. I'm skipping the reviews, we're on our way!!

The food was fantastic, well seasoned, and we'll portioned. I was very impressed with the shrimp, as I don't generally like shrimp but they were well cooked. Their veggies were a mix of peppers, onions, zucchini, mushrooms, and fresh spinach...a nice change from the standard with fajitas! I was able to choose two sides with my meal, and wasn't forced into rice and beans. This place is keto friendly, and willing to make substitutions.

10/10 would highly recommend. Hands down the best mexican food on the Seacoast! Great portions, amazing staff, and good prices :)

It is hard finding authentic food. The tacos were delicious and the tortilla was nice and hot. I definitely recommend it. Nice and quaint place.

One of the few accessible establishments​ in Newmarket. Easy access from the front. There are no low tops but the bar is a little lower then normal which works great. Fully accessible restrooms. Staff is freindly.

Get the spicy margarita 🤤chips and salsa were good too! I ended up with the Texas quesadilla 👌

Stopped in for a quick take out order last night…got a marg while I was waiting. The staff are friendly, kind, and run a quality establishment. I sat at the bar and noticed that everything was clean and comfortable. I got my food and was a bit delayed in eating it, but when I got home and finally took a bite…I was in Heaven!!! I ordered three tacos-carne, pollo y chorizo. OMG they were all delicious! The salsa was fresh and tasty with just enough spice for me. The rice was tasty and fresh too, and with takeout, it’s often dry and flavorless…so that was an additional plus! We’ll be back to dine in next time! Thank you!

Fantastic food, and ice cold beer - 16 oz Tecate cans. We got the Molcajete to share and it was more than enough for 2. Chips and salsa are great too.

Great Mexican food. Salsa is spicy (for New England). Had a chile relleno and chicken enchilada combo plate today. Was tasty! Tried Fish Diablo. Sauce is quite tasty.

La Catrina restaurant is clean & nicely decorated. Delicious homemade salsa & chips. The chips were crispy and not too salty. They provided a generous portion & offered refills. The drinks were yummy and priced fairly. Our dinners were fresh, with generous portions with plenty left for two more meals. The wait staff was very responsive to our needs. We didn’t have room for dessert, but the choices sounded delicious. I would highly recommend La Catrina!

We come here regularly for some cozy Mexican food and margaritas, sometimes once a week. The staff is always very pleasant and this is my wife's literal favorite restaurant. We hope La Catrina is here to stay for a long time! We were sad you were closed early tonight and we missed out on our favorite meals!

By far, one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. It's quite small in space but big in hospitality. If I had to say something bad about this place, it is only preference. I prefer the thinner salsa chips but I do love their food.

Have eaten here 2 weeks in a row! That should tell you something about the whole experience!

It's REAL Mexican food!

A friend of ours who works here said we should come. Glad we did! I ordered tacos Al Pastor rico rico!!! In english rich rich!!! So very good!! I also had a chile relleno rice beans and a margarita!! The music!!! This is the music my bestie and I used to dance to this music is awesome!! Great experience!! You should come here and experience what we did so awesome! Rico y buenisima!!

I get lucky with some of the area restaurants. La Catrina is the real deal. Wonderful friendly staff, the food is genuinely Mexican and don't get me started on the mojitos and guacamole. Perfect is an understatement.

My wife and I lived in The San Antonio TX area as well as in San Clemente California (Total of both = 21 years). I really enjoy the authentic Tex Mex cuisine at La Catrina. We have eaten there many times and have always had a great experience! Delicious food (I really enjoy their mole sauce, tortilla soup, and carnitas). The service is good and the servers are friendly and attentive. I read a review regarding slow service and, while it takes some time to get your meal we believe that is due to fresh preparation. If you are looking for fast food find a Taco Bell...If you are looking for great food at a fair price, go to La Catrina!

We felt like Mexican on our way back from Maine. Fired up Google and found this place. It was great! So many Mexican places are afraid to add spice to their food. Not here! Good flavors and friendly service.

The best Mexican restaurant in Newmarket! Food is delicious and fresh, prices are very reasonable for the quality and authenticity of the food! Can't wait to go back!
