Wow...where do I begin. Been wanting to eat here for a long time and finally got the chance. Awesome food! Clearly they have "chefs" and not just cooks. Server Nick was knowledgeable, efficient and a pleasure. We were a party of three and enjoyed the catfish, the mac and cheese, dirty rice, Brussel spouts and two of the different shrimp apps. After dinner we were offered dessert... they had three options... so we went with all three..in order to each get to try each one. We came to a conclusion that all three desserts were to die for... The Key Lime was the best... but the bread pudding and peanut butter parfait were right up there too.

Every part of my experience here was amazing! I loved the drinks and food. The oysters were so fresh and all the seasoning was on peak on each dish. The shrimp and grits was my favorite overall, highly recommend. The pork belly was crunchy on the outside but melting on the inside so I loved it so much and wished there were more pieces on the plate. The vibes were chill so it would make a lovely date night to come out and eat here. Definitely coming back for more.

We visited the new What the Pho in downtown Newmarket and it was wonderful!
The atmosphere is cozy as it is located in an old mill building with cool vibes. The food is spectacular and the service was top notch! I had the Chili and Garlic Shrimp Appetizer that was off the chart good! My entrée was the Pho with Chicken and shrimp and the broth flavor is excellent with just enough kick to it. The owner of this restaurant (Chris) has a very successful Savannah Kitchen and they are continuing the quality with WTP. Do yourself a favor and make sure you come in and check it out!

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST IVE HAD IN A LONG WHILE! Will definitely be coming back frequently, the service, food, and atmosphere are 10/10 - love this place!!! Beet salad, grilled oysters, grilled swordfish, fried catfish sandwich, bread pudding, and key lime crumble are top notch and would eat again without a second thought! Check this place out!!

Simply overwhelmed by the fantastic food and friendly personal service.

We found Savannah Kitchen on a recommendation from some foodie friends with trustworthy palettes.

We started off with a Blood Orange Margarita and a Savannah Zombie and an order of Shrimp Savannah. All three were an absolute carnival of flavors and the spice in our Shrimp Savannah was so perfectly presented that I doubt anyone could find "too much heat".

Our entrees were shared and the Adult Mac & Cheese was delicious and filling with a bit of crunch and meaty goodness for it's finish. We also had the Shrimp and Grits and to be direct we were both pleased by the flavors and our perfect portion sizes.

Dessert was a perfect cap to the meal with Aunt Nina's Warm Blueberry and Peach Bread Pudding with Lemon Cinnamon Ice Cream being the come out of nowhere favorite part of the evening.

Had the Beef Pho and a drink. Both where really good, and the staff was awesome and friendly. The place had a really good vibe. Check it out for some good local pho. Looking forward to trying out the other foods as well.

Went to Savannah Kitchen for my niece’s college graduation and it was a phenomenal experience. The space is beautiful in an old mill that’s been restored. Started with oysters on the half shell, we had the chicken thighs, hanger steaks, Caesar salad, truffle Mac n cheese with ham and the chefs special mahi mahi. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious to the point of us all trying everyone’s dish. Well seasoned, piping hot, perfectly prepared.

The cocktails were also outstanding. We had the gin drink, the banana cocktail, a martini and several of the beers including a seasonal sour that was phenomenal. The attention to detail on everything was noticed and appreciated.

The service was top notch, attentive and knowledgeable of the menu, drinks and specials. Finding a gem like this in Newmarket was unexpected and it will be a destination restaurant moving forward. I’d gladly drive over an hour to eat here again. This restaurant can rival anything in the area. Props to the chef, the gm and the staff for creating an enchanting experience and menu to match. Kudos!

Went to Savannah Kitchen with my fiancé her brother and mother. We all were blown away by this restaurant in the heart of Newmarket! Everything from the service, atmosphere and especially cuisine was exceptional and I would consider this place up there with the best among the seacoast. My one and only complaint is that one of the waitstaff started to remove my mother in laws empty plate while the rest I us were still enjoying our meal making me feel a little rushed. Overall I couldn’t recommend this place enough, a must try for any foodie in the area!

This was my first time at Savanah Kitchen and I will definitely be coming back often. Ordered the roasted wild mushrooms over a crispy, creamy grit cake. I'm not a fan of grits but this was a very well thought out concoction that worked out very well. Ordered the Adult truffle mac and cheese which was amazing. Had an awesome southern flavor. Savored every bit and had to stop myself from eating to much. I had to leave room for dessert. The chocolate and peanut butter mouse parfait was calling my name. And it was amazing too. Bar tender and owner tolerate my questions and were more than happy to answer them. Please come and support this local restaurant and have an awesome time with friends and family or come by yourself like I did. No regrets!

Okay so I wasn't planning to review.....BUT, the food is so good. We got the beet salad, Oink, hangar steak and truffle fries. The atmosphere is fun. Beer selection is decent, cocktail menu is good. Now back to the hangar steak, someone knows how to cook and pair items. The brussle sprouts and Chimmy sauce were phenomenal!! EDIT, IT KEEPS GETTING BETTER. PEANUT butter parfait is slool yummy ! Service was good and prompt. Worth the trip and the next one.

My second time there. First time was this past summer when it was Savannah Kitchen & it was great! I returned last week now that it’s What the Pho & it’s even better if that’s possible. The Tiki drinks are a kick. Fun way to start the evening. The Shrimp Pho was delicious. Service is still top notch.

I enjoyed a very flavorful meal at What the Pho, and am looking forward to going back next time I am up in that part of the world. I enjoyed the owner's previous restaurant and was correct in expecting his next venture to be as tasty. The wait staff knew how to be sufficiently attentive without constantly asking for my feedback (a problem I have at many restaurants currently) and interrupting my meal. The location is interesting too. I believe it is located in an old mill that has been converted into residences and businesses. I recommend ordering a pho - tasty and filling but comfortably so.

This place have a positive vibes to it. The drinks and dinner was so outstanding. Such a hidden gems in this small town. Need to check this place out and it so worth it. Better to get a reservation as to get a table. The owner is awesome too!!

This place was off the charts good. Actually enjoyed reading the menu. Tried the burger with wild mushrooms and truffle fries. Burger was mind blowing. Fries were amazing, but what made them amazing was the flavor profile and the cut. The fries were bigger that shoestring but smaller than steak. Great great food. Not sure if I want to share this secret place, but it should be on every foodee’s radar. Service was stellar. Waitress had a great personality and made our visit even more enjoyable.

The atmosphere in the restaurant was great and each table had dividers due to covid regulations making you feel safer. The service was excellent and attentive and they have a nice beer selection. In ordered the stuffed jalapeños for an appetizer which came out great and was surrounded by a delicious white chili. For the meal we got the gumbo which I’ve never had before and it was amazing! Definitely will be coming back here.

Hidden gem. Food and drinks very well prepared and fresh. Staff was on point and service was very quick in getting us our drinks and meals. Enjoyed every bite of the shrimp & grits, and blueberry margarita was amazing!

Will definitely be back soon.

Food is fantastic, very flavorful, and somehow not heavy at all - you feel good leaving this place after a big meal, even though it's essentially all southern comfort food that should have you wanting a nap. I definitely recommend it. I could have the roasted mushrooms with the crispy grit cake every day for the next month and not get tired of it.

Newmarket NH has a great dinner spot in the mill building! Cajun inspired menu, everything was spot on. Nice drinks and desserts too. Very nice atmosphere, and clean design. Staff was exceptional. Will return for sure, you should go... Do it, date night, whatever. I think you will be pleasantly pleased perhaps.

Had a blast at this pho spot! We kicked off the evening with some drinks, I tried their specialty bourbon drink, the Lamborghini – it was awesome! The tofu app was great, I noticed that the veggies were super fresh.

For our main course, we got pho with chicken thighs which was top-notch. We finished off with a chocolate mousse for dessert. The food was great, and the vibe was spot on. Our server was very professional.

The location is in a nice mill building. Free street parking is a plus. Recommend for a tasty meal and good times.
