Nothing fishy tasting about this place, everything is fresh and clean tasting! Cod tacos were moist and tender, battered mahi tacos were crisp, and shrimp salad was simple with a flavorful dressing. Menu is full of variety for fun food and drinks for such a small place. Servers were very attentive. We ate inside as it’s still hot outside, although there were several tables with people eating under the misters on the patio outside. Large shared parking lot in back with ample parking and restrooms are nicely decorated and clean. This place will be crazy busy when the weather cools down!

Found this place while looking for a place to take a dinner break. It’s conveniently located in the downtown area of Gilbert and has plenty of parking in back and around the corner. It’s a clean and well kept establishment with a laid back surfer atmosphere and decor. I ordered the Blackened Grouper Tacos and came back for more to try the Beer Battered Mahi Tacos. Both were excellently prepared and very tasty. The grouper was moist and tender while the mahi had a nice crisp battered coating and was also moist and tender inside. There is inside seating, an outside patio and windows for your ordering and pick up facing the street. The service by the waitstaff was fast and friendly. They also have the Taco Tuesday specials with even cheaper prices. If you’re a fan of fish tacos or fish and chips like I am this place is awesome and reasonably priced, plus they also have shrimp and lobster tacos.

Nice patio! The food came out quickly. I had the Mahi tacos, which were fresh and delicious. Also tried the fried corn fritters, which were hot, fresh and not at all greasy. My wife had the chicken bowl; also delicious and full of chicken. The server was busy yet very attentive. We'll definitely be back!

Love this place. When I walk in the owner knows what I want and takes care of me. They have the best fish and chips in all of Arizona. Thank you so much for always being so Amazing. The best experience I've ever had in customer service and food.

Our 1st visit was today, we'll be back soon. We weren't aware at first, the Reyonoso Family owns and runs this cool little place. The have a long tradition for real good seafood with awesome service and good pricing. Our server was great, the fish tacos were great. Dinner was great. For a Family of 6 you’re looking at $65-$75 ( nice loaded tacos with rice and beans sides. )

We had Quesadillas for kids. Cheese is really good. They go heavy on cheese just like we like them.

Beer Battered Mahi tacos are delicious. I really recommend these. The fish is perfectly cooked crispy on the outside and tender inside. No heavy oil taste like other places. The tortilla could need a bit of help and more selection of salsa but it will not break the taco. It still takes the 5 stars

Shrimp tacos are delicious. The sauce they put on them is really really good.

Overall great Baja style tacos with great food and friendly staff.

Tried this place for the first time on a foodie adventure with my wife. We had the clam chowder bread bowl. Mahi battered and mahi grilled tacos. All were very tasty. It was worth the visit. Check them out.

OMG soooooo good! An absolute MUST if you are in downtown Gilbert! So delicious and the servers are sooooo awesome! Couldn’t order calamari fries as they were out but that was the only negative!

Zalina our waitress is amazing. We ask for her every time we go there. We travel from California to Arizona often and SoCal Fish Taco company is a must every time.

The name suites the quality of taco! Great tacos, highly recommend the battered mahi and shrimp tacos! Will for sure be back!

Delicious! Service was great, the clam chowder was my favorite along with the crispy shrimp 🤤 we went for taco Tuesday and the tacos were all on special, definitely recommend trying this place out.

We always lov SoCal Fish Taco. Date day today is also a great reason to come back. Our favorites are the Grouper tacos, chowder and their daily special is always awesome 👌 love all their fish. Sorry the photo is real..it was sooo good nothing left to share until next time. Yes their staff are great we enjoy all of them.

What can I say? I am from southern California originally. Me and my wife miss the beaches and the great food. Coming to "So-Cal Fish Taco Co." makes us feel like were back at the beach. It's a little , cozy, and very relaxing place. There are a few tables inside, but lots of out door seating, under the covered patio, with misters going, when it's hot. The staff here really seems to like working here. Very nice, personal and just down right friendly. Ok, ok, so how's the food? The food is great! I have a hard time ordering anything but the "Cod Tacos". My wife also loves the Cod Tacos, but her favorite is the Fish and chips, which I too, will say is great. My sons love it here, so this is an easy choice to bring the family, everyone is happy here. I have never been a crab cake lover, but that changed when we tried theirs for our appetizer. It's so good, add a squeeze of lemon, and it's perfect. You get two cakes per order, so with my two boys with us, you better not day dream or it will be gone before my first bite. My youngest son LOVES the Lobster tacos, as well. It's such a nice place to just kick back and enjoy a nice meal, remember the beach back home, and then it's back to reality, and the hot Arizona sun.

Great little California baja style street taco restaurant! Had the 2 Mahi street taco meal with beans and rice and it did not disappoint! Every thing had a fresh and flavorful of the chart taste! Great service!

Good fish and chips! It had a nice crispy crunch and we'll cooked inside as well. We also had the crab cakes which were good too.

Very cute patio in the back that makes you feel like you're next to the ocean. Delicious food! Taco meals come with two tacos and rice and beans. Clam strips appetizer was amazing! Best clam strips I've had in a long time. Highly recommended.

I always visit SoCal when I'm in Gilbert. The fish & shrimp are good & the breading is just right. The staff is efficient & friendly

So good. The calamari and fried clams were cooked to perfection. The peel and eat shrimp we're good too. Can't wait to come back and try some more of the food that they have here. Like to sit on the patio as well.

Nice little surprise. One of the better fish tacos I’ve ever had. Also - get the ceviche tostada. Mmmm. Yummy in my tummy.

I really like this place. Everybody I've taken has really liked this place. The food is great. The fish is flown in daily from California.

Just a few issues that bother me. We always sit on the patio out back, and the service can be a little inattentive. Very infrequent beverage refills -- like when they bring the drink out and then offer a refill when they bring the check. And, for the love of God, when someone orders iced tea bring out the sweetener container! They never do, and I always have to ask.

Quirks in service aside, I really love this place! I don't know if inside service is better, but the outside covered patio with misters and fans is very enjoyable.
