I’ve been going to Bernie’s since I was a little kid back in the 70’s!
It’s always a great sub to enjoy for lunch and or dinner!!!😋

First time here. The Italian was great, just how it comes with the spicy pepper relish.

Excellent, tasty, hot sub every time! It may not be the prettiest place you’ve ever been but the food sure makes up for any faults you may find 🤤

Staff is always pleasant, order is always on time and the food... it's always consistently amazing. I love their Italian sub!

Been coming here since I was a kid. There is really only one thing to get in my opinion and that would be the Italian (regular) with light peppers. Never failed me in my time of need.

Most of the other subs are good as well. One thing I would say is not to try to customize them or expect a subway like experience. You'll be disappointed. Stick to the ways they do things and it'll all work out!

I wouldn't recommend the pizzas as they aren't that great. Reminds me of frozen microwavable personal pizzas that you can buy for a couple bucks at the grocery store.

Definitely call in advance if you want to be in and out quick. A sub will always take between 15 and 20 minutes to make here.

All in all I give it 5 stars not because it of its cleanliness, trendy ingredients or healthy options but because it gives me a sub that I can count on year in and year out to be delicious. That's all I need.

Expect to wait 15-20 minutes for your sandwich, but it is well worth the it. The Regular is the best Italian sub outside of New Jersey. If you don't like toasted bread then you will disagree. That is fine because it is a small place and you will not be taking a seat at a table I'll be sitting at.

The best Italian subs I have ever had, I only go here for an Italian sub when I get the craving. Just make sure to have at least $10 cash for the footlong since they don't accept cards there. Still worth it despite the inconvenience.

Got a super Italian sub with a wonderful red chilli sauce. Because of the virus I had curb service/ They were not busy and it took 20 min. but it was worth the wait. I hear the pizza is fantastic. Oh well, next trip.

Bernie's is the Best! I now live in ATL but I have been coming here since 1974 and it is the first place I hit on any trip to RVA. There is no better sub, and I've looked for 45 years!

These are literally the best subs I have ever had. A neighborhood favorite, I have turned down 5 star restaurants to go to Bernie’s. Have to get the whole hot Italian with hot peppers. Nothing like it anywhere.

Best subs in Richmond. Must have is Italian with peppers. Wouldn't know if anything else is good because there is no reason to order anything else.
