Very cute hobby and model store. Nice selection of kits and pretty much everything you might need for a quick supply grab. Owner or manager I spoke with was very kind and helpful in looking for a smaller brush I needed.

Nice little place with a fun selection of kits, mostly military Tamiya. Primer i got from here is the cheapest iv been able to find yet works better than any iv used before.

This doesn't pertain to any customer looking for a specific toy but I believe that it should be noted that the cashier Jackson is what a business should look for in an employee. I asked if he minded taking a photo of me and my family to remember our time in Alexandria before our move. He had no problem helping us with our problem. I highly suggest checking out this hidden gem. Thank you again Jackson!!!!

Definitely a gem of a tiny toy shop. Just picked up snow sleds from here, as promised by the owner who had run out the previous week & said come back next week.

Small little hobby shop close to me, staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a decently sized range of scale model kits. I was interested in the tank kits. good selection of 1/35th Tamiya kits. Some Italeri and other brands mixed in. Seems to have a good arrange of Tamiya paints and other supplies. I will definitely be shopping here again.

I needed to paint my Scotty Cameron Futura X5R putter. Saw the review on line and knew where to go. For a couple of bucks I restored the sight line on my list $420 putter. The owner was great and we swapped some stories and the whole experience was phenomenal.

Great Toy and Hobby store. Got detailed advice on a Lionel train. They have a great selection of Gundam, Lego, models, trains, rockets and traditional toys.

Bought some wwii models,and I am very pleased. The woman who was working at the counter was very nice, and I will definitely come back. They had tamiya models I couldn’t find anywhere else, 5 stars.

This must be the ONLY toy/hobby shop I'd like to give business to. The owner is always there and knowledgeable of what's in stock and not. He is of the age most are used to dealing with when building from scratch, including balsa planes from a plank of semi-precut sheets and transform it into a 3D model you CAN build and fly. Either by rubber band or glow motor. Stop and take a look, then simply ASK questions. My best guess is that he'll have an answer or able to obtain.

I purchased our family's first train set at Whistle Stop. The store is small but packed with great toys, games, puzzles, train sets & parts, models, etc. The owner and the other employee I interacted with were both helpful and friendly. Shopping here was more enjoyable than at a big box store or an internet retailer, and I look forward to patronizing this Whistle Stop in the future!

The owner is awesome and their selection is great. I've bought some really nice model rockets, paints and train scenery their. Number on place in DC I've been to if you are into trains and/or scenery.

Owner is very helpful and knows his product. I just started building Gundam units and all the basic tools that are needed are available. If you are looking for something in particular the owner will check to see if he can get it for you.

The owner is amazing and helped me with a craft project by supplying me with the tools in shop but also helped me order materials I needed. Love the shop and will be using this as my go to location for any hobby needs.

Extremely knowledgable about model building ; they gave me several valuable tips on how to build and paint mine. The guys there are true hobbyists - if you want help and advice as well as a place to buy your models, this is your place.

Whistle Stop Toy and Hobby has the best customer service I’ve ever seen! Shopping for a four-year-old’s birthday was quite difficult during the pandemic. They curated a selection of gifts specifically for the birthday girl, and delivered the toys right on their birthday. They saved the day!

A great little shop in Alexandria. They had a good selection of model trains at good prices. It’s always nice to support local businesses like this one.
