Auto Express

I always have a great experience with oil changes, inspections, and minor repairs. The thing to remember is that they are first come, first serve - I always plan to be there a few minutes before they open. I bring a book and my crochet, and enjoy the quiet until the car is ready. Staff is knowledgeable, I don't need them to be overly friendly, but they're always pleasant and businesslike.

This has been my go to mechanic in Amherst for years. Amir (the owner) is a great guy and you can tell it’s a good place to work because I recognize the same people working there from 10 years ago.

Amir also owns Reliance Auto which sells cars and is absolutely worth checking out.

I got my son’s new car inspected at Auto Express. They are very well organized, the waiting room is clean and the staff I dealt with were friendly.

Very accommodating to my schedule day of, communicative and willing to coordinate with me. Pretty good pricing: full synthetic oil change, tire rotation, inspection, and surprise brake/pad replacement for less than $500. Very little physical interaction (I appreciate this with current COVID situation).

Super friendly, very communicative. They work quickly and efficiently, no appointments needed. All of the people who work here are helpful and very nice. Reasonable prices, and they always talk to you before doing anything. Highly recommend, especially for someone who does not know alot about cars and has a tight budget.

I’m a college student in Amherst, and have never been here before. I needed an oil change and inspection- I normally go to a shop in my hometown. They had excellent service and the woman at the front desk was so sweet and very hardworking. Only took about an hour, and all the workers there were very kind. Very happy with my experience here and will be going here from now on while at college.

This is the only place I bring my car because it’s the only shop who has never had employees that try to over sell me things because I’m a girl. They are very polite and always work quickly. Today I went in and they had hand sanitizer available and gloves and I was informed of their sanitizing routine for the waiting room. I have never had a bad experience here.

I usually get oil change done here and recently I had to get my brakes replaced. I spoke to Alejandra Rojas- she is very knowledgeable and patiently answered all of my questions. I am very happy with the service I received. I would absolutely recommend this place and ask for Alejandra if you have any questions!

Every time I've had something done here they've been relatively fast and hassle-free. There's no power-sales-pitch for add-on's, no bill with extra BS, just the job I wanted done and for a reasonable price. And if there's a little thing that needed doing, they often do it w/o trying to get more out of you.

I went in there because my car was making a horrible squealing noise. 30 minutes and $25 later, I had an adjusted belt and the noise was gone. I sat in the comfy waiting room, drank coffee, and surfed the free Wi-Fi. Couldn't have had a better experience. For people complaining they're too busy, try a Sunday morning. Place was practically empty.

Always have had great service here, been going for past three years or so. I used to do a lot of my own work on my car but don't have time anymore with kids and work. Have had everything from inspections, to brakes, to AC service to new starter done with no issues.

Went here a few weeks ago to get an inspection done, had absolutley no issues , inspection took no time at all. But props to the woman at the desk and my real reason for this review. She has the patience of a Saint let me tell you. Will definitely come here again!

I had A flat tire. I drove my truck with
only 10lbs air pressure. I got to the
shop. Now, completely flat tire. They
put my truck in a bay. Pulled out the
nail in the tire. Put a plug in the tire.
Awsome! No more flat tire. Job
done in a fashionably good time.

A few weeks ago while bring my daughter to UMass, I stopped in bc my oil light randomly came on. A big thank you to the man in the pit who took the time to show me how to check my oil!! I know it was probably against the rules, but I appreciated the lesson!

Super helpful, & professional. auto Express is one of the few reasons worth going to amherst, where the hippy liberals have gone so far left, theyre puritanical. i know this because ive lived here long enough to remember when amherst was a place of expression & freedom.

Very happy with the service. I was third in line and Car inspection was done in a timely manner. Also, I was very happy that they attached my plates for me.

Needed my muffler fixed. They did it quick, at a better price than the other mechanics in the area (and I'm pretty sure accidentally) didn't charge me for labor, only parts ;)

The line moved along quickly and the staff was professional, friendly and thorough. Great shop.

Quick and really helpful. There's a nice little lounge to wait in with free Wi-Fi and coffee. Pull around the back if you're going for an inspection or up front for everything else.
