HQ Korean BBQ & Hot Pot

My boss recommended this place for my daughter’s 21st birthday today. It was awesome!! The food was amazing our waitress was THE BEST!! Food was so good. I’ve never had Korean bbq & hot pot ever. I definitely will be back.

Delicious food both hotpot & the BBQ. Generous portions. Family friendly atmosphere & clean facilities. Very tentative servers. Only downsides where I would of liked bean sprouts & I wish I could get or be able to pay for a to go bowl for the hotpot broth. But overall enjoyable experience.

Came here to celebrate my birthday, and was not disappointed! As soon as I came in, my first stop was to take a look at the sauce bar. A huge tell of how good it is...is how they take care of the sauce bar! Lol. It was so clean and neat, with so many options! Once we sat down, our waitress was immediately there. She took our drinks, and gave a rundown of the pricing as well as options! You can do KBBQ on it's own, hotpot on it's own, or both! We went with just KBBQ because I was just craving meat. You place your orders on the pad at the table, and the waitress brings them out. Everything came out fast and fresh! The cuts of meat were perfect and sliced perfectly. Also, the appetizers like cheese corn, dumplings, fries, etc are also on the KBBQ menu to keep coming! There is a few of 13.99 per wasted pound of food, but trust me we sucked up our meal like vacuums so there was no charge for us! Lol I actually agree with that charge because I am not a fan of wasting food myself! Lol. I really loved the garlic pork belly, and the angus beef. I cannot wait to come back. I hope they continue to keep up the great standards! It is now on my top list for fave KBBQ place here in Hampton roads!

Food- amazing food lot of meats options, fillet mignon was in menu which is rarely seen in any K bbq place .

Service- lyla did amazing, she was nice and pretty much checking "how we doing " in timely manner

Place- pretty spacious and comfortable plave

Sauce- they are missing some spicy sauce but overall lot of options if you are not in spicy sauce

Amazing experience! First time and it will not be the last. Waitress explained the entire process and helped us out. Food was amazing. Service was the best. The restaurant was also modern and spotless. Great Place.

Lau was a great server and her gumball machine costume for Halloween was great!

The food came out quickly after being ordered and Lau was awesome with providing direction on this type of dining as it was new to us.

The presentation of the meat delivered was very nice and the variety is good. It is also nice that the tablet for ordering included pictures for every menu item along with the description of what each is.

The building was very clean and all of the servers (including ours!) seemed to be very promt with drink refills and dish cleanup throughout the meal.
I did take one star of for atmosphere because they have a giant TV screen playing ads (muted) that spanned the wall of our booth and the 1-2 next to us that would occasionally have flashing screens that was distracting. It isn't a big deal but is a obvious design flaw for such a large screen being immediately next to you.

I was honestly impressed by this place. Mostly everything was seasoned perfectly and the portion sizes were good. Ordering was very easy on the iPad and even though they weren’t working well the server got it resolved quickly. 2 small things, is the hot pot bowl is all metal except for 2 rubber grips on the handle. If you’re not careful you could bump the bowl and burn yourself. Also I think that they should give a small bowl to eat out of once the hot pot is done cooking so you don’t have to eat boiling soup. Price is really good, $35 per person for both hot pot and BBQ. Other than that the experience was great and I will definitely come back!

I was looking for dinner that was close by to where I was staying and found this place. The restaurant was easy to find and plenty of parking. We got both hotpot and bbq. There were different broth options for you to choose from as well as the type of meat for either bbq or hotpot. The meat was very tender, thinly sliced, and delicious. The crab was for some reason super salty, which kinda threw me off a bit, but wasn't a big deal. You just order everything on the iPad and food will be brought to you. You can make your own sauce at the sauce bar, they also have kimchi, glass noodles, and some dessert at the bar as well. The server was so nice and attentive, she kept checking to see if my table was doing okay. Will definitely visit when I'm in town again.

The place seems very clean and you definitely get the bang for your buck here. The portions are really nice. The service is mediocre so far but we do look forward to going back!! Even though you cook yourself and it's all you can eat. Don't forget to tip because they may have to provide a certain % to the bussers as well.

The HQ hot pot is amazing!!! It's very easy to order for your table with the device right at the end of the table!!! Portion sizes are amazing, the broth selection is great and the variety of meats/veggies/sides are phenomenal. The staff is very accommodating and so very nice. The entire place is great, I think we've found our new go to spot!!!

Had an incredible experience at HQ in Norfolk. The food was incredible and had some of the best service I have ever had thanks to Kia!!! Definitely will be coming back!

My dining experience here was wonderful. It came with fresh options of plants and premium cuts of animal that you can pair with an assortment of spices and unique sauces to satisfy your palate. This, along with the stylish decor, dynamic atmosphere, and attentive service staff makes for an enjoyable festivity that you can share with friends, family, and/or staff.

The food is very fresh, well seasoned and the servers were very attentive! It was not just dinner, but a very enjoyable experience a perfect place to bring the family and for a date night that you wanna have time to have a conversation! Highly recommended

I ordered the Bento Box Meals - 2 Meats to go with spicy bulgogi and garlic chicken. You can also pick three sides and choice of white rice or fried rice. Everything was good and the well portioned and the meat was tender .For my sides I picked kimchi , seaweed salad and spring roll. I would order from here again.

Interesting! We were turned away at another restaurant and decided to show up at HQ Korean 2 hours before they close as a big group and were accommodated right away. It was easy to order, the food came right out because the waiter knew we didn’t have enough time to enjoy the experience. We did KBBQ and hot pot. Food was very delicious, I ate way too much and I promised I would return at an earlier time so we can really take our time. They also have a cold bar with sauces and veggies, kimchi and seaweed salad to enhance your meal. I love there. Our waitress was extremely friendly, polite and beautiful. I think she remembers my cousin from a last visit. I’m sorry I didn’t take any pics but feel free to ask any questions. Please visit you will not regret it!

The service and the food were 5 stars all the way! My family spent a couple of hours having a great time. We called same day and made reservations. We were seated right away as if we were special guests. Our waitress was extremely helpful and patient with everyone especially when showing us how everything worked.
