CM Chicken Norfolk

I had a craving for chicken gizzards. We searched for restaurants nearby, and CM Chicken was within walking distance. We ordered curly fries, gizzards and wings. I have never tasted chicken this fresh. The gizzards were seasoned well, and I enjoyed the crunch on the wings. If you like curly fries, you will love the curly fries at CM Chicken. The staff was attentive and provided service with a smile. I was surprised there were only two tables occupied in the entire restaurant. However, I was happy to learn about locations in Chicago and the suburbs.

Was walking around and stumbled upon this place and decided to check them out. We’re so glad we did! It was mid afternoon on a Wednesday so it was fairly slow but the food was great. We got the Snow Chicken and Popcorn Shrimp. The chicken was great and the sauce gave it a garlic creamy taste. Popcorn shrimp was good too! I got a Banana Smoothie and it was perfectly sweetened, real bananas, and was creamy and smooth. Our server was very nice and the owner is the sweetest lady ever! We tried their Blueberry Yogurt cake for dessert after her recommendation and we were not disappointed. Prices were lower than competing places too!! We loved our first visit here & will definitely come again!

one of the best korean friend chicken places in the area. atmosphere is amazing and our server was even better, took care of us at every point. will continue to come back here multiple times! highly recommend to anyone in the area wanting some good food!

This place is so amazing! The service was excellent and the food was out of this world. The owner is the sweetest person I have ever met! The chicken was crispy and so tasteful as well as the calamari. Absolutely coming here again.

Came in Saturday evening at 7 pm. The ladies that work here go above and beyond. We were served complimentary gimbap. Phenomenal service. Great, great chicken. Reasonable prices. Great drink selection. My friends and I left full and happy.

This place is awesome! The food is incredible and all the workers are super nice. I'm definitely going to be coming back and can't wait to bring others here. Everything I ordered was flavorful and a nice sized portion.

This restaurant merits a rating higher than five stars. As I navigated through Norfolk in search of this restaurant, I contacted the management, who swiftly assisted me. They departed the place of business, accompanied us on foot while we drove, and met us at each intersection to provide directions to the restaurant. After we noticed it, she patiently waited for a definite arrival before leading us into the restaurant. The dining experience was outstanding, the service was wonderful, and the restaurant was impeccably clean. I am equally enthusiastic about promoting the delicious and extraordinary qualities of this restaurant across Virginia and its neighboring states. I am extremely grateful and cannot express my gratitude sufficiently.

This location just had their Grand Opening yesterday and I went there 2 days in a row(that should explain a lot itself). It’s very spacious inside suitable for big groups as well. This place does the best job in bringing authentic taste to the table. Friendly and welcoming staff made our meal time extra special. Highly recommend it to anyone and everyone!

Such a nice homey feel with the staff and just the overall vibe of the place is very nice, and don’t even get me started on the food, I’ve had the Cm chicken in Virginia Beach but this one just felt like there was more than just flavor in it they put actual love into their food. The staff were on it asking if the food was great and to our surprise it wasn’t packed on a Saturday night it was just perfect. 10/10 would recommend and will come back !

The Beef Bulgogi Dumplings, juicy and delicious beef and vegetable marinated with Korean BBQ sauce and tucked into a thin wrapper!

The Fried Gizzards with your choice of Fried, Garlic Soy, Garlic Spicy, Curry or Red Hot Pepper depending on your spice preference....I had the fried to start which were crispy out & juicy in - perfect!!

The Snow Onion Chicken with fresh sliced sweet onions with a refreshing creamy white sauce on top of the original crispy and JUICY fried chicken - W---O---W the tenders are HUGE!! Be prepared to share 😘

Lastly, the Garlic Soy Chicken which was recommended & a signature dish of CM chicken! Sweet soy sauce with a hint of spice - the chicken is sooo good!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED & can't wait to return to try other entrees!

The food was great, freshly fried and crispy chicken. Made quickly to order, good portion size for a cheap price too. Definitely worth trying out! Very kind service too!

10/10 definitely recommend this restaurant if you love Korean fried chicken like me. My family and I went during the lunch special. No wait time, we seated ourselves, food came out quickly, and the customer service was friendly and welcoming. The soy garlic wings were filled with flavor and crunchy texture. I must admit it’s better than Bonchon 🌚. I will be a returning customer.

Maybe best fried chicken I've ever had. Original Wings are plentiful and came out hot. Snowball curry chicken (tenders) so crispy on the outside and moist and fresh on the inside. Not usually a fan of raw onions but as they marinated in the sweet curry they were quite enjoyable. Got a sides of delicious sticky rice, kimchee (the real deal), and shrimp tempura sushi (not called sushi but can't remember the Korean name) was very tasty. Ordered two desserts, fluffy cakes one with mango and one with berries. Light and delicious.

To our server, sorry we never caught your name but you are so nice and good at what you do. Thanks for the background stories. We don't get to downtown Norfolk much but so glad we found you. Will take your recommendation to air fry leftover chicken, can't wait.

This restaurant is absolutely phenomenal. Their wings and sauces have the perfect ratio of coverage on their massive wings. Their garlic soy chicken is just the right amount of spicy and flavorful. A 5 piece wing order and basket of fries was more than enough for 2 people. Will be back often

The portion sizes were insane. Definitely worth the price. The chicken was crispy, juicy, and the flavor was phenomenal. Katelyn was a great waitress who took the time to explain the dishes. Will come back!

Hands down best chicken joint in Norfolk. Staff was so kind and so attentive, and food was next level. So many choices, all of them amazing. Soy garlic, curry, and snow chicken were highlights, and Sapporo on tap was awesome. Will be back soon for sure.

This place is amazing!!! Best chicken in the downtown area, hands down. I personally get the snow onion chicken and it is delicious. For such a big location, the staff keep the place very clean and are very courteous! I highly recommend anyone and everyone to go check them out when you’re in the area.

I have eaten here on multiple occasions and each time the food is exceptionally good! I’ve tried the chicken wings (delicious), the snow onion chicken which was over waffles during restaurant week (amazing) and the chicken sandwich with curry sauce (outstanding). The crispiness of the batter, the tenderness of the chicken and the flavor of each combination are top notch compared to other fried chicken recipes (and I’ve eaten a lot of chicken in my day!) lol The owners and staff are very pleasant, hospitable and do all they can to make sure you have a good experience. Don’t “sleep” on this gem!They are a welcome addition to the “flavor” of Downtown Norfolk. To that point, please also be fair in your reviews. Some have commented that the service was bad but in reality, it was a problem with Door Dash, not CM Chicken. Comments should give the reader a true assessment of the issue so that no one gets the wrong impression. Put the blame where it lies. (my $.02)

The food is fantastic and so fresh! I’d come back for the smoothies, but everything else is incredible!
