Great experience. Rolled in a little late around 8pm. Clean pit toilets. Erin the host was very kind and helpful. My kids loved all the ground squirrels.

Great spot! It was perfect for our last minute need to stop in our family campervan trip. Gorgeous sunset, well maintained sites, clean bathroom... there was a little noise from the trains but we could also hear cows mooing in the adjacent fields which was pretty cool. This was our first time using HipCamp and we were definitely impressed.

Gorgeous view, so peaceful and relaxing. Heard a train at night which was cool, saw a little fox too. Wonderful experience

Great place with easy check in and great views! Went for an evening walk around the property. Owner was very nice and stopped by to ask if we needed anything.

I hate to write a scathing review, but why is no one talking about the train?? There is a very loud train that kept us up all night, came through at least a half dozen times between 11pm and 8a. Tent camped in site 3 and the train horn was startlingly loud (made us jump when it happened), not just some background nuisance. It shook the ground. Not enough warning is given before booking - the description of the train on the booking website is that it "sometimes toots its horn". This is an understatement and misleading.

This campground is best if you have a hard shelter to muffle the train sound, or can sleep with earplugs. If you are a light sleeper I wouldn't risk sleeping at this campground if you are hoping the train might only come by a few times, as other reviews on Hipcamp report. Otherwise this is a gorgeous campground with great amenities. If it were not for the train, I would give 5 stars and would definitely camp here again. Again I hate to write a bad review that might turn business away, but there needs to be a fairer warning about the train.

We had a unique experience that I'm not attributing to the campsite itself, but I think I should share just in case: Animals chewed up, ruined, and scattered our middle-of-the-night bathroom trip shoes all over the campsite. In all my years camping in a wide variety of terrain, wildlife has always left our shoes alone, so this was shocking to us. Not sure if this was due to actual wildlife or a sneaky unleashed dog, though we did not see dogs the evening before or morning after.

Dry camping (that’s okay), but no soap in the dispenser and run out of toilet paper. Very long grass, no maintenance at all. Very rocky and windy. For $27,- per night by far too expensive. Would never go back again.

Reaction on owners' response: I only want to tell the true story; it doesn't seem you do so:
- I wasn't bothering any campers at all!! This is misinformation and by far not true!!
- Both late afternoon and following morning: no toilet paper, no soap
- Nonsense that I had a overflow site, I wasn’t pleased with: there were only 2 tents when I arrived!

Please be honest; i.e. not distorting the truth!

A weed infested wasteland. Do not go there.
