Barnes & Noble Cafe

I’ve done 44 coffee shops reviews. All the way from California, across to Florida, and up to Pennsylvania. Always looking for great coffee. Looking at the reviews for this place was 2.2 and I was not expecting much. I almost left because they didn’t have egg bites but I saw they had quiche which l like.
I tried the Southwest Quiche and it was absolutely delicious. Much much better than Starbucks egg bites. The coffee was good, the service was great but this quiche was amazing.
Come and you’ll see what I’m talking about. You’ll be glad you did.

Nick provided excellent customer service. Very knowledgeable of the menu and me the perfect Carmel Macchiato.

The (Starbucks) Chai Tea Latte is amazing!

Was just purchasing something at the Cafe for a deal B&N was having and got the Chai Tea Latte. It. Was. Amazing. Where have I been this whole time? I've heard from friends and others that it's good, and they were right. My literal reaction after taking the first sip: Oh my *goodness*!

The service was also friendly and quick.

don’t let the name fool you, this is a starbucks, and like every starbucks i go to i must critically rate it, overall the staff was really cool and seemed pretty happy 10/10, they always have deals on the little receipts after you buy something some barnes and noble and i always forget about them 10/10, bought my s/o’s little sister a chocolate triple chunk cookie and she said she liked it 10/10, however one crucial part that i am a critic of is their mocha cookie crumble frappe and you know what they didn’t have, exactly that 0/10 wish you guys had that amazing drink, overall it’s really nice :>>>>>

Reviews talk about the Cafe, but let's not forget Barnes & Nobles' business is not coffee or baked goods. Do they offer it? Yes, but their business model is books, so lets talk about the bookstore itself.

1. The place has a musty smell upstairs. 😳 and it's not in the bathroom. Must be the carpets, which look like they have not been washed since covid.

2. Seating is very limited. For a very busy Barnes & Noble, they really need to add some more benches or chairs upstairs and in their cafe. Unless they simply don't want people to sit and relax anymore.

3. Decor or lack there of. I've seen so many beautiful B&Ns throughout my time traveling and this one really lacks any kind of decor. You have big beautiful windows and no cushioned seats next to them, no plants, empty spots of blankness on walls, and no little side tables and reading nooks by bookshelves. Hire a decorator!

4. Selection of books. Sorry, I mean, you're in the business of books and you feature the most boring, dull, snore-snorting books! How many autobiographies does one need to showcase? We don't care about the British Royalty or Political Affiliates! Your audience demographics are not all over 50 and not everyone over 50 even cares about your agenda! Bring independent authors and creators back and start supporting them!

5. Cafe is drab and I cringe at the food and drink options. I'm just going to let the other reviews about the Cafe say everything that needs to be said here.

In the end, B&N you are dieing just like 5000 other brink and mortar companies and you need to change your welcoming environment if you want to survive. Or maybe don't and let the small mom and pop shops take over. They do better anyways and I'd rather support them because they try harder.

This Barnes and noble is pretty organized and clean but honestly it is not my favorite because I feel as though they have very limited seating, there is only a few tables near Starbucks. There used to be more seating upstairs if I remember correctly but I didn’t see it this time. I really think they should get more seating areas because it could be a better place for people to go study

Please update your store hours.

I ordered a coffee and 2 brownies. The coffee was lukewarm, actually closer to room temperature. The brownies were frozen solid and not edible. I brought the brownies back and I was told "this is not Starbucks" I still cannot believe I was told this. I see a considerable amount of negative comments. Seems like this location is not managed. Very disheartening as the bookstore itself is great.

As someone who used to work for starbucks. I don’t think asking a customer “are you buying anything” after ordering a water is part of the customer connection you want to make so badly. Ive ordered a water before and it’s been given. When I ordered my drink it wasn’t made correctly either. Ordered a Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso. There’s hardly any milk and a big gap.

Absolutely aweful! First I ordered a bacon egg croissant and they gave it to me and 1 little corner was warm the rest was cold. Next I watched at the barista moved at a glacier pace making my drink. Literally everyone had cleared out except 2 girls who ordered way after me and she couldnt have moved slower, it was physically painful to watch her work. Definitely never coming here again!

Employees harass and discriminate, they also believe lies, especially slander. The employees don't wash their hands before leaving the water closet. The place obviously needs maintenance done as well. The place does not deserve even the lowest rating available to choose from.

The barista’s always act annoyed, they aren’t nice, my drinks never come out correctly, simple laziness is to blame. I’ve never had a good experience.
