Julia's Restaurant

Cute little restaurant and bar right off of Berkeley campus. It's inside some club building so you need to ring a bell and ask them to let you in, then go upstairs. Quite interesting setup.
The building has a classic feel and it was really nice walking around the ornaments and decorations.

They have a separate section for a bar but you can order drinks and cocktails in the dining area too.

Food was very delicious and presented in a beautiful way. Server seemed a bit inexperienced but he was the sweetest guy! Definitely going back to this place. Highly recommend!

(Gotta do street parking but there were plenty of spots when we went on a Wednesday around dinner time)

Very cute restaurant and lounge area. Fast and friendly service that doesn't feel rushed. The food was well prepared with quality ingredients, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious.

Beautiful decor, and farm-to-table food are all fresh and flavourful. The building itself is also worth a visit.

This place is beautiful. My husband and I are new club members. We haven't taken advantage of the club stuff yet, but feel so lucky to have access to this beautiful building and wonderful food. Bella was a great server. Finding friendly service in Berkeley can sometimes be tough. This a sweet restaurant that is very beautiful. The food is very very good!!

This quaint places delivers an amazing experience with the Stagg, drinks, ambiance, and specifically the food. Highly recommend.

What a pleasure this place was. The food was excellent, the service staff very nice and the physical building itself was very charming and old world. I want to go back and try everything on the menu. Even walking up to the restaurant which is on the 2nd floor is nice, with oriental rugs and old architecture gracing your way. Will be back for sure!

Wonderful food and relaxing ambience. Server Adrien was fantastic he greeted us politely kept up with our demands seeing that we were in a big group and even taught my son some French I recommend Julia’s Restaurant for a lovely evening with family and request Adrien because he did a great job

Great service, a lovely space in an historic building and very good food.

Such an exquisite place to go and dine. Restaurant is named in honor of the talented Arquitect Julia Morgan. The food there is wonderfully full of flavor. When you walk into the Berkeley Club Hotel you are stepping into an era of the 1930's such a wonderful Historic Hotel but Julia's Restaurant is the heart and jewel of it all. Make a reservation and enjoy!!!

I am extremely grateful to my waiter Adrian, as I thoroughly enjoyed my edible experience because of him: The service was impeccable and visual presentation stunning: an unexpected chocolate lava cake completed my rainbow quinoa vegetable dinner and made an incredibly positive visual as well as spiritual impact on me —who knew a petite treat could have such grand effect…Eating it was meditation: You might just achieve moksha while eating it, finally exiting samsara!!! It was THAT good!!!

Absolutely delightful dinner celebrating a graduation. Food was outstanding, wait staff attentive and professional, lovely ambience. Convenient location in down Berkeley. Could not have been more delightful.

Came for lunch to celebrate my mothers birthday. The service was amazing, Mark was so nice and went out of his way to make sure we had a lovely time. The food was simply excellent. Will definitely be back!

Last century setting that reminds us that Berkeley has 100+ years history. Fine food. Service was exceptional (I think his name was Mark). Just the right balance between telling us about the place and the dishes, and letting us decide.

A hidden gem - delicious preparations in the lovely, quiet atmosphere of Julia Morgan's historic Berkeley City Club.
We have had both lunch and dinner here countless times, have enjoyed every dish, and appreciate the thoughtful staff.
The menu changes seasonally, with high quality ingredients. Our current favorites are the Pomegranate-Persimmon salad, the Ratatouille Niçoise, the Pan-Roasted Halibut, and the Coconut Brulée.

This resturant is located in the spectacular Julia Morgan designed City Club. It's open to the public. Ring for entry and proceed upstairs. Plush, rarefied atmosphere with widely spaced tables. Many fellow diners appeared to be retired academics.

A little gem in the local historical building. The menu is classic and the food is great in terms of the taste, its presentation and proportion. The main is around $22-35-reasonable in a fancy restaurant. There ain't many tables so make sure you reserve one. It is a quiet dining place with a great atmosphere.

Splendid location for a first date. Classy environment with delectable cuisine. A place to properly take your date.
