One of the most kindest human beings ever. Tom took the time with us with every detail from start to finish. Helped explain the process and restored our chair completely. My wife and I are extremely happy for what he has done for us. He gave us great conversation and he is full of wisdom. He also repaired a drawer for us that is also done with perfection. He is the guy if you are needing any restoration or repair with your furniture. I trust him without a doubt. He has hands and skilled that were gifted from God above and were thankful we met a beautiful soul

To repair is a skill; to exhibit love, experience, historical knowledge, and an understanding of people as well as his project(s) is an art form. Artisans have always been esteemed throughout the ages of civilizations, for good reason. They bring beauty. Tom can feel the sentiment in a sentimental piece, comprehend fully the loveliness in what some may see as merely an inanimate object, know and appreciate the hands and skills of those craftsmen before him, and bless his customers with kindness and heartfelt, genuine conversation.

Oh, and yes he did an exceptional repair for me, but that really became secondary to the pleasure my wife and I felt in meeting this gentle soul and wonderfully kind man.

You are loved Tom Tolson.

Tom is such an artist and historian! He took my 70+ year old table and restored it to its original shine and glory. The table started to droop in the middle when we added the extra leafs to the table and Tom did his magic and it’s like new!

I have a hand carved statue that I had to have at an estate sale, not sure why, he just bit me. He has been broken several times since I got him and my husband super glued him back together.
I woke up one morning and saw that the dogs got him and turned him in a chew toy. I was furious and heartbroken. I refused to give up him, I call him Otis.
I found John, I think it was meant to be.
He made Otis look brand new.
See before and after pics.
Will always call John Polson, he is absolutely amazing at his job.

Tom does meticulous and beautiful work! He repaired our 150+ year old desk and made it as sturdy as the day it was built. His knowledge of how things were built in every era and how to restore it without diminishing its value or history is remarkable. We'll definitely be calling upon him again!

Tom is a true artist. He made our old and fragile piece of furniture come to life. He was very clear about what was needed to make the restoration and charged a more than fair price. I would highly recommend him to anyone. Craftsmanship like this is hard to find.

Tom’s work is impeccable! He repaired a broken chair for us and took great care in explaining how he planned to repair the piece- and, afterwards, explained the entire process. Tom is a true professional and an extraordinary craftsman.

Tom Tolson knows more about restoration than anybody I've. Met in my 60+ years. He's restored items for Picasso's daughter & Happy Rockefeller. I could go on & on.

I was extremely pleased with Tom's restoration of my Gus Stickley Arts and Crafts rocker that included repair of a broken rail and general regluing of the entire piece to maintain structural integrity. Bottom line - I wanted the rocker to remain as original as possible. Tom painstakingly took me through the process of repairing my rocker while articulating the various steps. He even offered to use original formula "hide glue" if desired. How often do you hear someone ask you this? Tom is a master of his craft and his extensive experience, makes him the logical choice for the most discerning antique owner. I highly recommend Tom. He is a consummate artisan and professional.

Tom took a family heirloom a very early american plank stool and recreated a smashed rung on the base. He returned it today and I guessed all the other 3 rungs before it was fourth he replaced, Tom is a restoration, conservation expert of the highest level. He has worked with Sotheby New York the Rockefellers, the Gugenheim the Modern the Met the Amon Carter as well as many private collectors. He can match color and finish like nobody's business. I recommend him without hesitation to anyone of the strictest concern for detail. Check out John Thomas Tolson Art Objects
