Sun Diner

A wonderful diner and a true diner experience. It is basically all breakfest food, or a take on it, so you have to be in the mood for that, but the food is fresh and wonderful, and what can be homemade, it appears, is. The food is delicious and very filling. The staff is extremely friendly and the atmosphere was very comfortable. Definitely worth a try and the service is pretty fast even when full. They will text you when your seats are ready if there is a wait.

1st time experience. Ate here for a late lunch, 2pm on a Sunday in February. It was not crowded at all. Service was friendly and on point. We got the Chicken & Waffles and Pork Belly Tacos. I personally didn't like the pork belly tacos but my friend lived them. The flavor on my chicken was great. The waffle was delicious. It came with side of gravy but I preferred the syrup on it. I will def eat here again when in town.

10/10 definitely eating there again..it's affordable price and a lot of food..it's was so good for 2 people it was around 40 bucks which isn't bad that how much we usually pay for food.. definitely worth it.

Cute cute spot to enjoy some breakfast dining :) it’s bar style sitting, and they got a great selection! I loved loved their country fried steak and gravy, and the chicken n waffles is a classic here :) my friend got the biscuit n gravy and it was fabulous! Overall, I loved this lil spot

Outside looks like a recording studio, when you first walk in, you are greeted with a blast from the past vibe. There are tons of famous celebrities on the walls and videos of Elvis playing. They also have sports on for those of you that need to stay updated on the game. They have booths and bar stool seating, and classic hits on the stereo keeping to the theme. Btw, we were seated immediately during the breakfast rush.

The food was excellent! There's a one page menu that keeps simplicity, which we really appreciated. When you come here, the pork belly side is a MUST...do not skip this, they are cooked perfectly. The chicken n waffles had a sausage gravy blanketing the dish which really elevated it apart from anywhere else you have had this dish. The donut sandwich was really fun, and tasted good as well. Everything was good honestly, would definitely come back.

Staff really made the experience even better... they know their stuff, made sure you are happy as can be, and certain dishes get you a little dance which gave the room a laugh.

Excellent food, wonderful experience, waiter was so fun! I really wish other places in the area would be this great! We had chicken and waffles, so good, the chicken flavor was out of this world! Different syrup options were a nice touch too. We even made some friends, some nice ladies from Chattanooga area. Overall we enjoyed this place and will most certainly be back again. Keep up the great work at this restaurant.

Great food with the Elvis flare! I tried the donut and egg, cheese, sausage sandwich. Tasty, though my daughters, breakfast wrap was huge and looked fantastic! They also serve a decent bloody Mary. Will definitely go again with the family.

We had the chicken waffle and hot chicken wrap and boy oh boy was that delicious! 🤩

We had a great experience. Our server was amazing. It's cute how the seating arrangements are. The biggest highchairs I've ever seen. 😂 The chicken and waffles was great. Everyone enjoyed the food

Everything was good.. great atmosphere Elvis style diner. Awesome pork belly tacos and delicious creme Brule French toast.

So this past weekend my wife and I were in Gatlinburg and we decided to try the Sun diner, which is next-door to Jason Aldean‘s bar. We believe it’s owned by Jason Aldean‘s outfit too. What a really cool restaurant with a cool concept a lot of counterspace as you will see in some pictures and video, breakfast was a little expensive for two people $45 without tip. I had country fried steak and three scrambled eggs potatoes in a biscuit and gravy on the country fried steak. My wife had three over medium eggs, four pieces, crisp, dried bacon, potatoes and a pancake. the food was pretty good, so all at all this is probably gonna be a hit for us even though it was a little pricey, and our first time there we actually enjoyed it and we would go back. The service was really good and the cooks behind the counter were exceptionally fast and it seems like they’re taking care of this whole restaurant plus doing food for Jason Aldean’s bar, I think it’s worth giving at least one shot for breakfast or lunch and breakfast is served all day all in all cool restaurant we would be back

Had a great lunch (some of us had breakfast for lunch) here today. Sat at one of the bars and the service and food were fantastic. I had the Crème Brûlée French Toast and it was amazing…came with three, I had already devoured one.

My husband got the hot chicken wrap and i got the patty melt. Both came with fries. Both meals were absolutely amazing. The fries were an interesting shape but tasted delicious.
Prices are higher than normal restaurants but about what you would expect in downtown Gatlinburg. Seating was a little strange as you sat next to your party and across from strangers.
Our server was very attentive and amazing.

We came here for breakfast 3 days during our trip to Gatlinburg. The biscuits and gravy are great. Our son loved the pancakes with their "Rise 'n Shine" syrup. We had different servers each time we went and they were all wonderful.

This was a great Smoky Mountain experience for me. The food was good, the service was great, and the atmosphere was so vibe.

We went to almost all the breakfast spots in gatlinburg and suns is definitely our favorite! The food was delicious. The service was good but the food and atmosphere is fantastic. What a fun retro spot. Highly recommend chicken and waffles and trying the biscuits and gravy!!!

What a wonderful place! We had breakfast here on a Saturday morning in March. We were looking for something other than the typical pancake house but also good food. This is it! Such a neat atmosphere reminiscent of a recording studio (like Sun Studio in Memphis) with that diner feel. There are a couple of tables but otherwise it’s all counter seating. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent - the eggs were just as ordered, bacon was crispy, toast was excellent thick cut bread, and the potatoes were the tri-color blend and cooked perfectly - crispy on the outside, super soft on the inside. The hash was amazing and the overall experience was just excellent. We ate early so not busy at all, but the number of employees coming in suggested that would change later in the morning. Excellent and fresh food. Definitely worth the price, especially eating on the strip in Gatlinburg. Highly recommend this unique place for a good breakfast.
