Great place owner is pretty cool . I had a reuben and a Italian sandwich. The Italian sandwich was my favorite more than the reuben very fresh. Parking is very hard to find I would recommend calling in advance and placing an order. For two Reuben’s and a Italian sandwich came to $39. I would definitely say give it a try!

This sun-shined Street, is seconds off of Broad street Newark. Cafe Airlie is like walking into Cheers (The 80’s TV show where everyone knows your name). The owner/ manager is the friendliest person. Calling everyone that walk in by name. I soon felt like I was eating breakfast in my living and talking with my family. Everyone one that came in seems to interact. It really felt like home. The breakfast platter was yummy. Yesterday I had a chopped salad. Checkout their menu. I’m sure you’ll find something you like. Shop local. Eat with friends or family. This cafe was clean and had spacious seating. The staff was friendly. Come on in.

The food and service are absolutely amazing! Please check them out. Their chicken soup is super delicious!!!

My new sandwich spot! Fresh and delicious. Perfect bread to meat ratio. One of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a while!

This has been my go-to spot for a while now, the sandwiches are great! Typically what we do on a day that there won't be too much time in-between meetings, is order two breakfast sandwiches, grab two bags of chips and split a sandwich. Reasonably priced considering the great quality of food.

It can get pretty busy here so I tend to call ahead, by the time I'm down the elevator, walk there, and grabbing my drinks the food is ready. Give this deli a try!

Gets busy at lunch but workers are super nice and fast. Try out the #1 on hero. My go to, you might not be able to finish it though since the portion sizes are generous! Highly recommend if you’re looking for sandwiches salads and soup!

My boyfriend was craving a hot pastrami sandwich for lunch and looked all over Newark’s downtown area for a good place. Boy oh boy were we lucky to find this cute deli hidden between shops in the middle of Commerce Street! The sandwiches we ordered were tasty, grand in size and appropriately priced! This will definitely be our go-to shop for sandwiches from now on!! The cooks and staff were beyond friendly as well as professional. We absolutely recommend Cafe Airlie!!!!

This is a great little deli in Newark. The sandwiches are large and inexpensive. We only ate half for lunch and saved the rest for later. I wish we had places like this in Minnesota.

This place is amazing-the food was good and the prices were affordable! It is so rare to find a place that is able to do both these days. Highly recommend! Let’s keep these kinds of places in business! I am tired of paying $6 for a cup of coffee!! They were also friendly and the place was clean and nicely painted.

They offer the best pastrami & corned beed sandwich 🥪 I've been to this place for years since it is close to where I work. I revisited this lovely place last week, as for first time in 3 years post pandemic, and the owner still remembers my name 😀 and the price is still the same as pre-pandemic with the same 5 star tastes 😀

Typical looking sandwich shop with surprisingly good sandwiches! Got the grilled chicken breast on a Kaiser roll. It appears small but was loaded with grilled chicken and rice cherry tomatoes! Took awhile to eat! Knew it had to be a good place because it was loaded with police eating lunch!

Fantastic lunch place. Great hot and cold sandwiches, wizards of the chicken cutlet and their salads are fresh and amazing. Charlie runs a great business and is always friendly to all his customers.

Best sandwich in Newark! Charlie, the owner, is one of the nicest guys I've ever met. He takes pride in the place & they make the best sandwich in Newark hands down. If you can stop by, they're open, being very safe. Get a great sandwich, you deserve it & Charlie would appreciate it.

I'd say they make the best sandwiches in downtown Newark. Its my go to spot for a sub. Everyone is nice, service is fast even when they're crowded, and you can customize a sandwich with ease. Also, they sell Voodoo chips which most places don't so always a plus!

I visited this Cafe everyday for 4 months. Their food, service, and prices are superior to their neighboring competitors. I would order breakfast for a crew of 20+ guys working nearby at a construction site. The owner, Charles, is very accommodating and ensured every meal was correct and ready when I came to pick it up. I highly recommend Cafe Airlie, their food is great and service exceptional. 10 out of 10, would tell a friend!
