Sweet Desert Cafe

This is one of those meals you’re gonna think about forever. We tried the strawberry banana smoothie, mango smoothie, eggs Benedict, crepes, Chile rancheros, sausage, and WOWWWW. There are not proper words in the English language to convey how incredible and delicious this meal was. I want to shout from the rooftops about how divine that strawberry banana smoothie was and I have never had sausage so perfectly cooked, juicy, and flavorful!!! And not to mention the incredible service! The gentleman helping us was attentive to every table and so kind! Every person he asked how their food was said it was incredible and I did not hear a single complaint!! I cannot recommend this place enough and will definitely be back (every day if I could have it my way)

This is the best breakfast joint in Tempe in my Opinion. One of the many reasons I love it is because the owners are the ones who are working in the restaurant. The husband is usually handling the tables and the customers and the wife is in the back cooking up magic. The service is always warm and welcoming and the food is spectacular every time . I want to add , I have a special needs daughter , sometimes she gets loud when she is stimming and the owners have never asked us to leave and they always make her favorites.

For the life of me do not go in there giving these ppl a hard time. If you lack patience and grace I recommend you go elsewhere. But I promise you , if do it , it’s absolutely worth it and you’ll be coming back for more .

This place has customer service down pat! You walk in and are greeted immediately! They make you feel like you just walked into their home. Like you're family coming over for breakfast 🥰 My son had the salted caramel frapacinno and strawberry pancakes. He said the frap was dreamy, and swears the pancakes were the best pancakes he's ever had. The food all came out super fast! They even do carry out. I'm excited to come back. ☺

This is a hidden gem in the valley! Wonderful family owned and run breakfast spot. Food is amazing. The mango coconut French toast is an automatic favorite. Look forward to coming back again.

In the area for the weekend and we always live to try local restaurants. This was close and looked like just what we were wanting. It looks to be a family run business, and they really care about their business and the service they provide! They specialize in pancakes, waffles and crepes, obvious if you look at the menu, but they don’t hold back. Everything is well made and delicious! It’s a cute little place, very well decorated and a joy to try. We’ll certainly be back next time we’re in town!

My partner and I stopped in not realizing it was a sit down place. That being said, this was the most wholesome restaurant experience I have ever had. The man who I assume is the owner was so bright and kind and full of smiles. Because it was mother's day he gave all the moms dining in the restaurant a rose. We ordered the mango coconut crepes and they were so unbelievably delicious. I plan to tell everyone I know to try this place out!

Amazing service and very delicious home cooked food. A variety of affordable dishes to pick from on the menu which was great since we had an eclectic group dining together. We can really see the love and care that’s put into this family owned restaurant. Will definitely come back when we come back into town!

This place has the most amazing food!!! Made with love and care with some of the best tasting waffle batter I have ever had. It is sooo worth the wait. Have patience go when you have some time to w. You can order to go at the counter if you sit down they have a serve yourself station for house coffee and water. Order the salted Carmel latte, Waffle with mango and coconut and a Monti Cristo.

Delicious food, everything was flavorful; (large variety on menu), Great/Friendly/Fast Service. Will definitely be returning and recommend to anyone looking for a good coffee, breakfast, brunch or just a delishh smoothie! **Update: we continue to return and try more deliciousness!! You just can't go wrong**

Whether you want to order sweet or savory, this little restaurant is a great spot for breakfast and lunch, not to mention the service was exceptional. They recently opened up this location and made it larger for more seating. I'm so glad they are doing well and growing. I can't speak enough on the exceptional service!

Sweet Desert Cafe is the best! This place serves great music, great vibes, and a super diverse menu. This is my go-to place after a South Mountain hike. One of the few places that serves bulletproof coffee. Lafayette and family are great!

Fun little breakfast place. Churro French toast, strawberry Nutella French toast was great. The veggie crepe was huge and good if you like veggies.

First time coming since i moved locally - and definitely blown away. Atmosphere was amazing, the art work on the interior drawn in chalk was whimsical and very well done. The father/husband who owns the business with his wife was EXTREMELY well mannered, respectful, and attentive. His son was the one who seated us, he took our order and worked the floor which as the business owner is rare and nice to see. Options for regular filtered water, or lemon water from the dispensers gave a nice classy feeling. Then the food, the pancakes had great crisp and fluffy, definitely not a premix. Tea I got was actually brewed tea and not bulk mix.

You can tell the food was made with intention, not just pumped out short order stuff. Definitely some love on that grill.

Menu is amazing, so many options it was hard to choose. Chilaquiles burrito with house made salsa is an absolute home run. California Benny was incredible. Even the French toast was soft, and fantastic. Highly recommend, and the fact that it's a husband/wife owned local business makes it just that much better. If you haven't been here yet, you don't know what you're missing.

Delicious, savory and sweet. I was not disappointed by how creamy the waffles are or how aesthetically pleasing everything was. If you are looking for a cheap eat with great quality food. The service was also amazing. This is the place for you.

This place was amazing! The food was delicious, service was fantastic, and the hot mocha was one of the best I've had. The one thing I was surprised about is that there wasn't an hour long wait to get in here at 9am on a Saturday. With food this good, I'd expect to be waiting every time I showed up! I'm looking forward to my next visit.

What a great experience we had here on our first time visiting this little Cafe.
Since the moment you enter you are welcomed by their friendly staff. Tables are always ready. The moment a customer leaves, they immediately clean and sanitize the table. And the food, ooooohhhh myyy it is delicious. I ordered the huevos rancheros, my husband had chilaquiles and my girl had the club sandwich and everything was delicious and made fresh. We had to ordered some of their sweet desserts and the strawberry n cream French toast was the bomb! Well done Sweet Desert Cafe.
You won't be disappointed, I do recommend this cute little cafe. Plus, they serve breakfast all day !

First of all, the name is just too great! This place was full of people when we came and yet we were served quickly and the food was excellent. My husband ordered the breakfast burrito which came with a heaping side of salsa and a side of hash browns. He loved it (and we have especially high standards when it comes to burritos haha). I had the banana nut pancakes and they were so sweet that I didn't even need to add syrup! They were drizzled with sweet cream and a hardy amount of nuts. We also ordered the peppermint mocha blended and it tasted great!
As an aside, the team that helped us (I believe they were a couple) were so sweet and offered recommendations with a smile. You can tell this place is well loved in the community.

Absolutely love this place! Went here twice for breakfast during our stay in AZ... Highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious breaky options. Super cute cafe style place. Self seating and self serve water and coffee.

The food was delicious! My only qualm is that the French toast leaves you wanting to spend more and if you did you probably would not regret it. I loved my chai latte that also had boba at the bottom of it. My entire meal was so flavorful. The place is like a hidden gem because it’s tucked away in this little plaza by it is well kept and very clean. You will enjoy your dining experience!
