Rocking S has stood the "test of time"!

I was lucky enough to stumble into Rocking S Farm when i was 16 years old along with my American Saddlebred "Talk the Talk". Suzanne and her staff provided him and I both a wonderful home. We spent so much time with our barn family, at horse shows and even helping out with summer camps. Years have passed, but when my 4 year old expressed that she wanted to learn horse riding i knew just where her barn family would be! After just a few months she is already showing and having a blast at her weekly lessons. It is a little bit of a drive for us but worth more than every mile.
Watching Suzanne help my next generation learn to ride is so rewarding and worth it's weight in gold. I can not wait to continue to watch my daughter grow and thrive in a barn environment where you are not just a number or a check but truly a member of a family.

I've been with Rocking S for over a year now as an employee and a few months as a lesson taker. I am full time at Home Depot so I am only part time at the stables but if I could be there more I definitely would be. The people are always so enjoyable, I love when the barn is busy and I get to chat with different people on and off. I am very much an introvert but helping with lessons, taking lessons, and just working around the horses has, I feel, really helped me be a little more interactive with new people. My lessons and helping with lessons are my favorite part, they're both so much fun though definitely hard work! (as is anything worth doing!). I started taking lessons around the end of last year (2022) and I feel that I have progressed fairly quickly in my and that I understand riding a lot better than I did at the place I had previously taken lessons. All in all, if you're looking for a place for lessons, this is it. You'll learn so much about how to properly ride and that IF you fall, the best thing you can do is to get back up (a most important life lesson) and keep going. And if you put loyalty into something, whether animal, people, activity, you'll get that loyalty and reward for hard work in return. There are also Fun Shows, and actual shows that you can participate in depending on advancement! Super awesome😎! If you are shooting for success, this is the place to be!

We love Rocking S! My daughter attended a camp this Summer and fell in love with horses and riding! She has now been riding there for six months and has learned so much from Suzanne and the wonderful staff. I cannot say enough about what they have taught her about riding as well as life.
It is her happy place and she never wants to leave!

My daughter (8) and I just had our first Saddle Seat lesson at Rocking S Farm. We loved it!! My daughter couldn't stop talking about it on the ride home. She was even talking about it the next day! We have both ridden before but never Saddle Seat. I thought it'd be a great idea if we signed up for lessons together. We had so much fun! Suzanne and her team are so friendly and knowledgeable! The horses are great too! You can tell they are well taken care of and are ridden often. We can't wait for our next lesson!

My daughter has been taking lessons for a few months and absolutely loves the owner/trainer, Ms. Suzanne. She has developed friendships with other riders and has learned a lot about responsibility and taking care of things you care about. Ms. Suzanne loves her students and is a great instructor. Highly recommend!

My daughter has been riding here for over 2 years. I can't think of a better place for my daughter to be. She is learning lessons in riding and in life. There is a great group of young ladies that ride here and look after each other. That is all due to the excellent staff at Rocking S Farm!

My granddaughter takes riding lessons at Rocking S Farm. She also goes to the camps during the summer. Believe ME if her family thought for one moment that this place was not up to standards she would not still be there after a year. She had her 9th birthday party there and she fell in love with the farm and the animals. I have found that when one writes a bad review on a business it is usually from a disgruntled employee or in competition with the establishment.

My granddaughter has learned how to ride and take care of horses. She has learned that there is a lot of work that goes into running a stable and loves the hands on experience.

I have referred Rocking S Farm to a lot of people that are looking for an unique experience for their children. I would not compromise my reputation if I did not approve of Rocking S. Farm.

I have worked at rocking s farm for almost three years now and have been apart of them even longer. some reviews on here are quite ridiculous. Suzanne has never been arrested (lol) and is very committed to the upkeep and welfare of her farm. I can attest to this by the many, many days I have been there. the horses are feed twice a day as they should be and are given the correct and necessary treatment. I have even shadowed the large animal vet rocking s uses and she does a fine job. the stalls are always, always cleaned twice a day. I know this because Im usually cleaning them. if suzanne ever lacks help she will muck stalls on her own. she cares for her horses and only gives jobs to the people who clean the stalls correctly, which some how seemed to be quite hard for some. yes the kids help w chores but that's part of the whole horse riding experience. it's great that she includes the kids in this. it teaches them responsibility. by taking care of the animals the kids bond with them and learn the necessities of taking care of horses. farriers come to the barn regularly for saddlebreds and the other horses. it is a wonderful little barn full of wonderful people. the negative reviews on here are honestly absurd and obviously don't know what they're talking about.

also a negative reviewer posted a picture on here. horses who live in pastures are going to get scratched. it's absolutely inevitable. I've owned many horses before who have been pasture boarded and different barns and can say this w full knowledge. it is not evidence that rocking s farm is unsuitable. the horse doesn't need a vet to some out it only needs for the wound to be cleaned and medicated (which it has been).

My daughter attended horse camp here and loved it. She learned all about care for the horses, riding, and arts and crafts. She is already asking to attend again!
