Church at the Shores

Cannot Say Enough great things about this Church! Not only can I confidently say it is my favorite church in the area but I can also confidently say it Is one of the most welcoming, loving, and compassionate environments I’ve ever been to. As someone moving from another state it was super heartwarming to be welcomed with open arms as one of their own as soon as I walked through the doors.
Amazing Worship! Amazing Messages! And an absolutely amazing Church Family after the Heart of Jesus and what truly matters!

We are so thankful to this church for providing my husband rest and retreat. We felt so welcomed and loved.

Genesis has been so developmental for our young leaders. They are such a loving church that really teach God’s word. Such a great loving family that’s so welcoming and kind!

As soon as I set foot through the doors several months ago, I was taken under the wings of two of the sweetest most God-fearing ladies I've ever met in my life! Between them, and Pastor Shawn, and the Worship Team...I truly feel like home. I actually love coming to church now, and God has become THE priority in my life. I LOVE Church at the Shores!!

Amazing church that preached truth and practical ways to love God and walk with him deeply. The staff care about the members in a loving and generous way and always make Genesis feel like a home away from home.

We’re regular attendees at Collectivus Church in Calera, AL, and visiting Church at the Shores was like getting a slice of home while away.

The worship was amazing, and the sermon was on point… I’m not sure if I’d rather say Amen or Ouch. It was great, though!

Next trip, we’ll visit again.

My wife and I love being a part of what God is doing at Church at the Shores! The worship is powerful and Christ-centered, the teachings are directly from God’s Word, the Kids and Youth ministries are vibrant and connected to the local church, and the community in this church family is unlike any other we have experienced!

Genesis Church is such a welcoming and generous community! They eagerly opened their doors to a summer project I was part of & I'm very grateful for the opportunity to see an example of a church centered on Christ & committed to sharing the Gospel. Highly recommend checking them out!

I moved to gulf shores from out of state and fell in love with this church. You will be surrounded by the most loving and genuine people. On top of the people, Pastor Shawn gives such convicting and refreshing sermons accompanied by such amazing worship from Pastor Josh. The pastors are such down to earth and friendly people. I highly recommend that anyone new gives this church a try!!

I have gotten the opportunity to spend my summer in Gulf shores AL, and Genesis has been so open and inviting to all! The first day I got there, I remember Pastor Shawn being so welcoming and just grateful we were all there. I also attend church at Genesis and the community there is so kind, and the messages that are preached always leave me encouraged and eager to grow more in my relationship with Christ!

I brought my family on a rainy Sunday morning and we were first greeted at the car with umbrellas and warm welcomes. The friendliness continued inside.

The kids are typically reluctant to try something new, but they loved Genesis Kids and asked if we’d return the following week.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the worship and gospel-centered preaching.

We’re only in town a few weeks, but already wishing we had more time with these great people, under great teaching, and in what seems like a very healthy church family.

I have had the privilege of attending Genesis Church for the past two summers, and each summer I have felt so welcomed, loved, and encouraged! The church body is friendly and went out of their way to get to know me! The church as a whole is generous, servant-hearted, and prayerful. I love how pastor Shawn's sermons are relevant and backed up by the Bible! I would highly recommend this church to anyone, in any stage of their faith!

Genesis is an amazing church that I had the privilege to visit during my time in Gulf Shores this summer with a summer project I was involved with! They are extremely welcoming and committed to sharing the Gospel with all people!

Our son goes to day care here. He loves it and so do we! Everybody Is so nice and over all its very well structured!

Spent a summer down in Foley for a faith project, were very kind to let us use their facilities. Recommend going to this church!

Genesis Church is awesome!! This amazing community opened up their doors to allow me as well as 300 other college students to learn how to grow and develop in our faith. I’m grateful for their love and support and highly recommend!!
